I have the ultimate as well, it's fun to fly. One thing that needs fixing, there are no down controls to lower your glider or land. you get a max of 3 1/2 minutes flying at any one time, if you flying high when it runs out you drop like a brick and can die. Landing controls and longer flight times are needed.

Yes, you can fight while mounted. From what I can tell, there are plenty of quests to level from. Doing almost anything in Archeage gives you xp as well. So you can level with farming, crafting, fishing, and many other things. The quests are the typical MMO quests. (Ex. Kill 5 of this. Collect 10 of this. Investigate over there.) It feels smooth though and progressive. Familiar, but enjoyable.

When you die, you resurrect back at a priest. Past level 10, you will lose experience if you die against NPC enemies. You don't lose experience if you die in PVP. To get back lost experience, just pray to the priest to recover your exp for a small cost. - It's pretty easy to meet with people on the same continent by using mounts or teleport scrolls. - Some of the best gear is crafted. - You can change your class anytime.

You get a SECOND Glider for Free in a quest. I forget the name of the second glider but it's Green, you can go higher unlike the first glider and you can attack. I will upgrade the second glider. I just wanted to post that in case someone doesn't know the second glider is Free if you are following the quest line. I forgot what level I was, but probably level 25? Something like that
Not exactly the same. The lvl 25 glider (you get automatically on hitting level 25) can't use it's nitro boost until level 30, while the lvl 20 Ultimate Glider can use all it's abilities. The only real difference is the color (the 25 one is green) and one you get for free but can't immediately use all it's abilities while the other you have to a little bit of gold for but can use it earlier.

Jojo Midley I still trying to figure that out and I'm at level 37!! At least as a Patron I can just buy them through auction but it still doesn't help with my skill level for crafting! The only other way I have found is to kill other peoples livestock and take them without getting caught... Risky but fun!!
what if i have the experimental glider from silver founders pack? it's better than the one they give you from quests, but its the same prosidure for improving it?
how did you get all those labour points at that level? I'm around 28, and I'm not even around 100... so can they be bought from the shop or something? I'm on the russian servers, so don't mind if I miss something obvious, there is the huge language barrier slowing me down.
the russian version is very punishing for free players, it will not generate labor points unless you are online. the NA version I believe will not adapt that model
the russian version is such a p2w, I noticed.mail ru are holding allods as well, world biggest p2w mmo, so I don't wonder anymore ^^ I seriously hope NA/EU take another direction, and make it playable for free players, just like Tera and Rift did.
yes, I noticed the Pay2win aspect of the game this beta, they'll make it almost impossible to do some stuff for free players, like crafting etc.. It's a huge issue, the Non-patron LP regen is so slow it's riddiculous.
It will be free when it comes out, but right now it's in alpha, and If you want access right now, you'll have to buy the founder's pack. but you can wait if you want because the beta is soon.

Ali Alsuwaidi Let me tell you that is worth every penny if you are into sandbox create your own fun kind of thing. Great thing about Alpha though is that servers are live 24/7 and will only be offline once beta events start. Once beta events are over, alpha goes live again

I think theyre going the rift route, trion have had good credentials lately with free to play and bot combating

i had to watch the youtube vid on how to upgrade the glider cuz the fkin game does a shitty job on explaining it. actually it doesnt explain at all.
