- Ready to sail the dangerous waters in Archeage? Here's a quick guide to the method and materials to craft the Harpoon Clipper!
What you'll need in total - 3 Gold, 30 Nui's Tears for the dock design, 10 Lumber and 10 Iron Ingots to set the dock.
Next you'll need 1 lumber pack (100 lumber) 1 Iron pack (100 iron ingots) and 1 Fabric pack (100 fabric). The rest is just time and sufficient labor points to put it all together!

This game has a learning curve, so I thank you personally for this guide on how to build this.
It's even more fun to air-ship skiing with a harpoon clipper. The looks people give when they look up and see a clipper flailing the air behind and air-ship is worth the time it takes crawling over and climbing up an air-ship tower.

Around what level should you start trying to collect materials for the clipper (I'm level 21)
About how much labor does it cost going all the way from having all raw materials to finished Clipper?
Hmm Do you need Patron for boats as well? Just would seem odd if we had to swim in pvp or hitch a ride otherwise.
Does it cost any Labour to place the dry dock?
How did you get the scarecrow when you aren't patron? Mine is glitched and I can't make a farm

Stefanos Pleros Adventurer's Clipper has a cannon instead of a harpoon.

Stefanos Pleros i would say Harpoon is the better choice, if u are a agressive/pirate player u can harpoon other clippers and slowly drag them in.

1st do we have to activate the Patron status upon purchase or can keep it like in PSO2 to use later?
and 2nd any ETA on open beta or if i am really desperate i should go ahead and buy its really worth it?

Buy it being a patron realy gets you somewhere, myself has been extremely lucky and gotten a beta key but with the key doesn't come a patron so there's alot of stuff that i can't do like farming for ex
So my suggestion is, BUY IT IT'S AWESOME AND SO WORTH IT!!!!!!

Franz WolfFang no its not, players in eu wait on large quoes for all servers, expect for the mornings. Only patrons wait less or dont wait at all

And trust me, this game is every bit as good as I had hoped!
What about open beta
I dont know how many closed betas they are planning but the game is virtually but free. It's now just a case of balancing the economy

Around lvl 15 you will get a Trade Run qeust and the 2 will get you the donkey
why does the first 15 secounds look like hell.
what is the community in this game like? I am not against PVP in fact I love it but* not when its just a group of bored 12 year olds hiding in the bushes purposely ganking / griefing... I have heard this is horrible. How have you found that part in game?
I have also read a lot that the land has filled up rather quickly...have you found that an issue when trying to find a place to do all the amazing sounding farming etc...?
I really want to hop into Alpha but I have trepidation because of a possible toxic* community.
I saw your questions and these are the same I had before started playing.
I've only recently(5 weeks ago) started with this awesome game and will answer any question you have, just because this is one of the best MMORPG's I've ever played.
The community is quite nice and are willing to help you with questions and quests. Though joining a guild is not obligatory it is adviced. People in guilds help eachother out and share nice spots, like in the video, to farm etc.
Land does indeed fill up quickly, but they're working on that. I'm currently unable to find a nice spot to plant my own crops. This is quite annoying, but makes me more of an adventurer to plant my crops and trees out in the open.
The community is great, but I wouldn't advice you to jump into Alpha now, as beta is already ongoing. Though you get nice stuff being an Alpha when the game finally launches.
ganking is pretty rampant in certain areas, and zerging is the most effective strategy in pvp. it's not an all out slaughterfest, but on occasion, guilds will decide to lock down an area, essentially making any attempt at going there suicide. last night of the CB3, a guild decided to camp Freedich and kill any people trying to do last minute gilda runs. the only way to boot them out and be able to freely access the area again is to counter it with your own guild zerg.
Basically, get in a guild of decent size so you can counter campers, and try to keep each other informed of when a group decides to camp an area so you know not to waste time going there.
