We stopped by there last week and went to story book dining (love it). Our minds were blown by that lobby. That resort is so beautiful, we would definitely consider checking it out at some point. We stayed last week at the boardwalk, it's just hard to leave that area. We love that Epcot resort area and being able to walk to Epcot and Hollywood studios.
I LOVE Wilderness Lodge. Stayed once on a work trip it was amazing. Can't afford to actually stay there again but I love to visit and eat at Geyser Point!
The best resort on property!! Some of the best food options on property. The views cannot be beat. Just a quick boat ride to the Magic Kingdom where you can hop on the monorail to go to 3 other resorts. The most amazing lobby on property. For kids there are many activities as well as the best splash pad at any resort.
I will always consider Wilderness Lodge my WDW home. It’s very expensive for me to afford on my own now, but my parents and I stayed there every family trip. It’s a gorgeous hotel but it feels cozy at the same time.
I stayed here for my first ever Disney trip and it was incredible. I only wished we stayed longer! I loved the boat ride to Magic Kingdom that took like 5 minutes and dining with Snow White. It felt so peaceful to come back to after a long day at the parks but my family is big on camping/wilderness and I know some people aren’t. If I had to choose something to complain about I’d say I got kinda tired of BBQ after a couple of days lol
I love the Wilderness Lodge (second fave) and I've stayed in most of the deluxes. You can boat over to the Contemporary Resort (first fave) and have the same transportation options it has! And I think the theming is great - and plenty "Disneyish".
Comparing DVC locations, the Wilderness Lodge is a nicer resort than Bay Lake Tower, it has much more theming in the physical structure, obviously Bay Lake puts you at the Contemporary but both locations require walking some serious distance to main buildings. I will say that Wilderness isn't fun, joyful, exciting...which is what polynesian seems to be all about, Geyser Point is nice but kind of a snooze fest whereas the outside tiki bar at Poly makes you feel like it's happy hour. The location is manageable if you strategize although they should really consider extending the monorail to this location.
Haven’t stayed there but went to Whispering Canyon for dinner one night on our last trip. We were amazed at the theming. We arrived early and just walked around taking everything in. Even caught the water pageant. Now we want to stay there.
My first ( and until January only ) WDW trip was at WL. I love that place so much, but it could really use a walking path to TTC so you can quickly get to the Poly, and more importantly Trader Sam's.
I enjoyed my stay at Wilderness Lodge even though it’s not my first pick for a deluxe resort. The slow boat ride to MK was perfect for me to just take it all in. The whole rustic and camping vibe isn’t my thing, but I’d stay there again.
Eating there for dinner our first night. Hoping for story book, but it was full so for now we have whispering canyon reservations. Want to just enjoy the calm (not counting whispering canyon) and maybe see the Carrol Wood room with the trains.
We stayed here Christmas week this past year and even though it literally broke my bank account, it was worth EVERY PENNY! This is my fave resort all day long!!!
We are DVC owners and Copper Creek is our home resort, so of course Wilderness Lodge is our favorite resort. We love everything about it - the theming, the rooms and the dining. We also love that we know we can always come back to the Lodge and get a fabulous meal between Territory Lounge and Geyser Point without having to make ADR's. And Whispering Canyon is pretty easy to get into as well. It's a refreshing change of pace vs many other deluxe resorts where if you don't schedule your meals 60 days out you are stuck with QS. I do have to add that this video was a bit strange. Why did they spend so much time talking about Fort Wilderness??? It's an entirely separate resort! Also, Sage asking for signs at the bus stops telling you when the next bus was coming was a bit cringe worthy. They have those and have had them for years. Do they work all the time? No. It's Disney IT. But they do exist and he should know that. Still, I will cut him some slack. I love his energy and personality and really enjoyed his HS video. I think there is real potential there.
Wilderness lodge is one of the 5 resorts I've not stayed at yet. I have stayed at the Fort in our RV. I like that it's not over the top Disney but MK is only a half day park for me so I prefer something closer to the other parks.
What is the best way to get from WK to FW? I hear there used to be a running trail that was closed for the Reflections development but if Reflections is canceled has there been any notice about the path reopening?
WL is the BEST!! We loved it the first time so much that we decided to make this our home resort. Also Christmas is the bomb. I can't say enough about how great it is.
It’s our DVC home! We love it but love so many others, too! AKL is one of my top resorts!

I love it for Fall and Christmas time!! Christmas tree is so beautiful and sitting in rocking chair near the fireplace is amazing!!

I used to stay at Wilderness Lodge a ton as a kid. There’s something magical about the resort and it will always be my favorite.
Why is Breedlove wearing a jacket? In Orlando? In August? Why?
I think it's for fashion reasons. lol I'm not sure. The A/C is right above him??? 🙂
Wilderness is top one or two for me. Maybe Port Orleans over it, but that's about it.
Wilderness Lodge is one of my top two WDW Resorts. My daughter loves this resort.
Hannah doesn’t like dark colors. I guess AKL and Poly are on her no-go list as well. Add in Coronado Springs as well.
My first ( and until January only ) WDW trip was at WL. I love that place so much, but it could really use a walking path to TTC so you can quickly get to the Poly, and more importantly Trader Sam's.
It’s such a beautiful resort. The DVC rooms are great value for the points. Geyser Point is one of the best lounges on property.

WL is my very favorite resort!
Fort Wilderness versus Wilderness Lodge? Major editing errors here.

Shout out to Breedlove for donning the thematically appropriate denim jacket with Sherpa collar even tho it’s prob 110 outside….😅😍😂
The girl with the glasses is NOT a fan 🤣

Near the top of my wish list of where I’d stay if I could afford it!
One of my favorite hotel, especially during Christmas time. So pretty and serene.
What is the best way to get from WK to FW? I hear there used to be a running trail that was closed for the Reflections development but if Reflections is canceled has there been any notice about the path reopening?
I meant WL to FW

Haven't stayed, but crashed the pool and love the look and food WL rocks (except for the price...)
We missed Quincy in this video🥲
One of my favorite resorts the atmosphere is amazing.
Looks like an amazing place to stay… everyone raved about it… not really understanding the title of this.
I dont care of Disney theme as long I’m on property
Wooohooo 🥳
The people who say it's the best are right, the haters are wrong. I would live there if I could.
Animal kingdom lodge is bettwr
Nothing bad about WL!
+.....HUMPHREY THE BEAR 🐻!!!!
Oh this was the first place I took my husband and kids. We LOVED IT!! Best kept secret on Disney Property!! 💜💙💖
