We are at Saratoga now. We love it. We always book preferred so we are closer to buses, pool and food. I like the subtle touches of Disney theming. Also being so close to Disney springs is a great perk as well.
The Saratoga Springs are so relaxing of the vibes of the resort of the upstate NY and natural hot springs in the perfect getaway to the middle of the old way of doing things.
Remodeled/refurbished rooms are gorgeous! Saratoga Springs rooms are spacious, and I highly recommend the one bedroom which sleeps 5 or the two bedrooms. The pull out couch was replaced with a Murphy bed that has a very comfy thick queen mattress. We’ve never had any issues with the Disney buses although I tend to order an Uber or Lyft when we are in a hurry. Many pools to choose from in addition to 24 hour pools. The grounds are beautiful and it’s a wonderful resort to have a resort day/week. Food options are great and the bartender by the restaurant makes excellent cocktails. This is a hidden gem. You won’t have crazy theming in your face which is a nice change. Highly recommend 😊
Aghhh!! Shuh-TAH-kwah, Breedlove! (Only because I’m a lifelong Chautauqua Institution-goer 😜) All pronunciations aside, Saratoga Springs is my absolute FAVORITE resort because of this vibe!
I 100% agree with Quincy when traveling with a big party and family of different generations the 2 or 3 bedroom suites work great! We had 8 people and the 2 bedroom suite was perfect for us. Plus the kids loved the Murphy beds because of the cartoons behind them. Plus the grounds and pool are amazing. We didn't have a full resort day and we regretted that. Next time we go we would take a day just to relax around the resort. However if it's just two of you or a family of 4 would still stay at the Swan and Dolphin everytime because they are a lot closer to the parks and cheaper.
Once I took the path between Universal City Walk and the Hard Rock Hotel, by night, to meet some friends. Man, that was VERY DARK AND CREEPY!!!!! I didn’t expect that!!!! 😮
Love Saratoga. Boat to Disney Springs or walk. Rooms nice. Easy pace without having kid Disney in your face constantly yet still with that hint of Disney. Great for evening strolls to chill out. Stayed an entire week with kids (my 3 plus my niece and nephew) and never went into a park and it turned out to be one of the best vacations that they still talk about 10 years later. And because it is “further” out you don’t have extra guests and visitors to deal with that aren’t staying there like other DVC resorts. OKW is my second for many of the same reasons but they lack Disney Springs.
Sometimes when Sage does these videos he seems like he’s taking on a walking Disney face character that likes to gab about Disney stuff. In the best way possible. I enjoyed the history reminder Breedlove.
I've stayed at Saratoga Springs twice. It's very lovely and very affordable in terms of DVC points but very far away from things. I have mixed feelings about going back.
SHUH-TAA-KWUH. Spent a summer there for an artist residency. Pretty cool fact though, didn’t know that. Sorry Breedlove! Vegan solidarity!! Hoping you get to film some more vegan content. 🥦💕
One of the best parts of continued Disney Vacations was staying at the different resorts with their specialty theming. They are moving away from the uniqueness of the theming and for me I think they are making a mistake.
Jeff...no bus at Disney Springs go to the parks. For Magic Kingdom you could take a bus going to any of the monorail hotels and walk over, or monorail or boat over. Or for Epcot and Hollywood take a bus to Beach Club and walk over.
I LOVE Saratoga Springs. The rooms are so spacious and the vibes of the resort are so relaxing!
I'm laughing so hard at Sage's walkway description. 🤣🤣🤣

So no one looked up how to pronounce Chautauqua before filming😂thanks for the laugh

Omg, yes, I was as annoyed as you by the mispronunciation. 😫
It has clearly been too long since I walked the path between Disney Springs and Saratoga Springs, because I don't remember it as scary.
Very nice to explore Disney Cruise through a beautiful virtual video! ❤❤ Have a nice week friend.👍👍 Love from India

Saratoga is definitely low of my bucket list of places to stay!
Don't criticize FRY BUCKET ~~ I will fight.
Watching this from our room at Saratoga Springs 😁
Fry Boucher’! 😂❤
You forgot to mention the Club Lake Villas were there even earlier.

Very interesting episode. Now you need to work in AllEars goes to a Renn Faire.
When I saw the title of this video I immediately knew that Breedlove was gonna talk about the Disney Institute lol
Regarding Chautauqua- pronounce it like "Sha talk qwuh"
Are all of the rooms refurbed?

I was gonna correct Breedlove. You beat me too it!
Wow
I love SSR it’s my home away from home

NOBAHDEE LIKES HORSING AROUND!-Mike Franceser
Um, guys it's pronounced Shah-tah-kwah :)
Why wouldn't you just walk to Disney Springs and get a bus to the parks from there? Seems easier than getting to the busses at the resort.

Stayed there last month for a night on a split stay, the room had a smell of mold that was so strong I could barely stand it
