OKW is my favorite! The colors, the boat ride to Springs, tropical steel drum music, the fragrance of the lobby, the gift shop, the pool area, the chill family friendly vibe… Olivia’s! Yep 👍

My folks were one of the last to buy into OKW back in 1996 and to this day, we absolutely love being there. I know that there are some things that could be updated here and there, but the villas are so spacious and comfortable. 3 times, we’ve done big family trips there and they’ve all been absolutely wonderful. Not to mention our second ever trip to WDW was my family’s first as DVC members for Thanksgiving 1996. We brought my Papa so it was 5 of us and it is still a Thanksgiving that we cherish.
OKW units are the largest DVC accomadations. If you prefer having alot of people around you than OKW is not for you. Great boat ride to D-springs. Olivia's food is some of the best in WDW. It would have been nice to have elevators but you can request a ground floor unit.
I’m with Breedlove, if OKW is like a retirement home with access to restaurants and shopping with a vacation vibe… count me IN! (Btw I’ve never been to OKW personally)
We spent last week at the Riviera and I saw Quincy in the lobby buying coffee and also while heading over to the Skyliner the same time we were walking over. Didn't want to disturb her, but hello Quincy!
I've stayed there in a studio once during a split stay where I rented points from Davids. My room was right across from the main building and the first bus stop coming back from the parks. I loved the huge balcony, I would sit out there in the morning with a cup of coffee and when I saw the bus come for the parks, I'd gather my stuff and walk over to the main building which is the last stop going to the parks. I didn't eat at Olivia's - I didn't really have enough time since I was only there for 2 or 3 nights and I'm from Georgia so southern food is just food to me. I enjoyed my stay and while I would do an entire trip there, I would certainly do a split stay again.
So what if guests can only use a bus to get to the parks? Not every WDW guest can afford those hotels that are connected by monorail, boats or the Skyline.
We were in teppan Edo last week and you walked by us I recognized Quincy’s voice but you were past us before I realized it was you! Great restaurant Would have liked to meet you Enjoy your reviews
If I am paying $400 plus... I just go stay in a really nice modern room at a Hilton by Disney Springs that includes breakfast. But I am a "saver" over staying at Disney properties only. Still can jump on Disney buses in Disney Springs to get to the park from there.
I really like Olivia’s and have been there many times. I have only stayed at Old Key West once. Our studio room was great. The main reason I would choose a different place to stay is the on-site bussing. It seemed to take a long time every time and that was frustrating.
Also, the other resorts have bus transportation to the parks. Also, although the Rivera, Art of Animation, and Pop Century have the Skyliner to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, they do have buses to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.
We stayed at Old Key West once as a family, and it was alright. I wouldn't stay there again though. The resort itself was fine, but the quick service food option is so limited, and we don't want to wait for a sit down meal every meal. With some in our party with specific food allergies, the options that she could eat were so limited.
Don’t the other resorts have bus transportation? I know the Contemporary Resort has a Monorail and a walkway to the Magic Kingdom as well as the Grand Floridian and Polynesian Resorts, those resorts have buses that goes to the other parks.
DVC member and home resort is Old key west, It's resort not hotel please I rental car but I will drive to Magic kingdom diver to Epcot and monorail or bus add 20 min to ride

It seems like maybe I could just hop to Olivia’s from Disney Springs sometime, but this is not on my list to stay at…ever.
