Wife and I got a great deal on a one bedroom here Sept 2020--right after the reopen. So peaceful and beautiful. Our one bedroom was nearly 1000 sq feet--incredible. Full kitchen, laundry room (In the suite!) jetted tub... Spectacular. Do recommend using the Peninsular bus stop--it's the first of 5 stops so the buses arrive empty. Oh, and the Gurgling Suitcase is one of the best bars on any property.
Great Old Key West description video. Our family had stayed there when our boys were young. We will visit this weekend with our grandson to celebrate his 2nd birthday. So excited!!
I agree, the buses are not a huge inconvenience-espeically compared to SSR which was a nightmare for my group. I ave never had an issues getting on a bus at the HH and on the way back from the parks, if you are near HH, I tend to get off at the first stop and walk since it is so close.
Yes 👏🏼 I saw buses at each stop around the clock, so I can’t imagine having to wait too long. And that’s always a good strategy to got off at the first stop and just walk to your building, depending on where you’re located, it could potentially be quicker than a 15-20 minute loop around the resort.
Stop telling people about OKW!!! Makes it harder to get reservations!! 😂😂 We love it so much. Truly feels like ‘home away from home’. I could go there and not even go to the parks and I’d be happy. I don’t care about riding a bunch of rides, OKW and park days where we relax and go to easy to ride rides and enjoy the background music loops and the surprise performers makes it a perfect vacation
I have no idea why, but you and Ellie favor SO MUCH in this video! I keep seeing her, but it’s you! Lol 😂 I have no idea why!? You literally said “copy and paste” with her girl! ❤ this resort looks so beautiful!!! I hope to stay here soon!
I recently ate brunch at Olivia's and was surprised how good the food was. But I notice that the buildings for the rooms go up to 3 stories, do they have elevators in each building or do you have to take the stairs to the top floor?
Staying in a studio in May! Can't wait! The pools look so fun. We want the Turtle Pond area, too. You mentioned this is the 3rd bus stop in the mornings. Were there still seats available at rope drop times or did you have to stand? Thanks so much for this informative video👍 Can't wait to show it to my hubs😊
Yay!! So we ended up driving on this trip, but how full the buses are at each stop can really depend! I wouldn’t worry too much ☺️ If a bus is full, they will make sure to have a second bus to the same park shortly behind 👌🏼
You have me so excited for our trip in January. It will be our first time at OKW. Got an amazing deal on points, paying $400 a night for a two bedroom, and it’s just the 4 of us😮 We will be there for eight days. Now I am thinking I want to stay at the old turtle pond area. That pool and playground was Jumpin.
I told my husband, you know that we can never go back now. That’s what happened to us when we started getting one-bedrooms we could not go back to a studio😂
Thanks for the video! I haven't stayed at this one yet. You guys should look at buying direct or the dvc resale market since you like deluxe resorts. Even with renting points and saving some money versus booking with Disney, you can save even more by being an owner! Add up the money you have spent over your last several trips versus buying a resale contract. You might be shocked! :)
Thanks for watching! ☺️ We have done the math several times, and for us, purchasing a contract doesn’t make sense. But that’s not to say it’s not a great fit for other families! We LOVE renting points though! 🙌🏼
It wasn't a great place to eat or stay. I was really excited to see it and the environment wasn't that great. Bus took forever to get to even disney springs. Olivas restaurant was not friendly. It was expensive and the food was dry.
I haven't stayed here yet. I'm sure I will as the points chart is so low and the rooms so large. I've eaten at Olivia's twice and I think it's good. I really don't like the pool area at all. It seems shoddy and run down to me, as well as really small and cramped. I don't like that the corn hole and foosball games are just sort of shoved up against tables and near the toilets (compare to Riviera's expansive game lawn.) I wouldn't enjoy carrying my laundry through the public areas and using those rusty machines. I also don't like the lack of accessibilty of the second floor rooms (I travel with my elderly mother sometimes) and the lackluster room decor. I don't mean to beat up on this resort. I understand that OKW has what amounts to a cult following, so my opinion shouldn't be taken literally. I just think OKW feels more like a moderate resort, and if I'm going to stay at a resort farther afield from the parks, I'd much prefer the magical theming and great dining of AKV or even the more updated and upscale feel of SSR. Thanks for another great video, Bekah! I love your content!
All valid thoughts! 👏🏼 I do agree about it feeling more like a moderate resort. There’s so comparison to the Riviera. For this having the lowest point chart, I do think it appeals to more people for that reason, but it’s definitely not for everyone! ☺️

We always make a breakfast reservation at Olivia’s every trip and just love the vibe of OKW. We’ve never stayed there before but it’s on our list!
Olivia’s breakfast is sooo good and so underrated 😍👌🏼
We still need to try Olivia’s someday! We’ve always heard so many good things about it!
I love this the hotel looks so nice and relaxing

😂 I’m sorry!! It’s too good! 😍 Im with you. I could spend days at this resort and never step foot in a park!
I like how relaxed this place looks! Great tour :)
That definitely seemed to be my theme word for this tour 😍😂

Oh my goodness, that is too funny!! 😅 I mean we are pretty much twins, but crazy that you can see it even without her in the video 😂
@@BekahHart Yes! So crazy!! 😜
Thank you for this fantastic video! I am staying there in Dec and I was trying to find info, you had easily the best and most informative tour :)

That’s a crazy good deal!!! 😍 Wow! And we really loved the Turtle Pond area! Great central location 👌🏼

We rented a 2 bedroom for 2 of us bc it was $400 for 3 nites! It’s crazy amount of space & gorgeous! Take a surrey bike ride if you can!
I just thought of another question.... Do you know if the studios have a mini fridge or the dreaded beverage cooler?
Mini fridge! All DVC studios will have a mini fridge with a kitchenette 🙌🏼😁
Next month, and we have 8 days at OKW. Our DVC points are the best thing we have ever done.
Such a great low key resort. And an excellent point value if you're DVC.
It is a Bumper Pool table next to the Foosball table.
Good to know! 😅
Are there other laundry buildings for the studios or just that one with a couple of washers/dryers?
There are laundry facilities located at each of the 4 pools ☺️
Thank you@@BekahHart
Is there any dvc perks, like food when renting here?
I cannot find a room tour of a 2-bedroom. Can you post one?
Anyone know if the Caribe Royale Orlando or Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort are able to get Disney transportation ? Like the buses?
Being that hospitality house is last, is there usually enough room for your party by then?
It depends! That definitely can be an issue with any resort with multiple bus stops.
How do you rent DVC points? Please explain. Thanks!
Check out this video! I explain the entire process ☺️ ruclips.net/video/dPeyLOr-m0E/видео.htmlsi=d8Z9B_nBjV4yvZ77
What service do you use to order your groceries
Amazon ☺️
Thank you

Looks like they de-theme'd it.
No matter if there are families in there or not, you should go film so we can see what it looks like.
I try to be as respectful as possible while filming in public settings. I did insert footage later on of that area if you had continued watching.
