We just did 12 days at Disney World and split our stay between Animal Kingdom Kidani Village , Saratoga Springs and Bay Lake @ The Contemporary Resort. We were surprised to realize after our stay that Springs was our favorite of the 3 overall.
I love Saratoga Springs! I was a little confused when you said it takes a big chunk of DVC points. It’s newly refurbished and it’s on the lower end of the DVC points chart. The only resort that takes less points for a studio is old Key West. Other than that, Saratoga springs takes less points than all the other DVC resorts. I don’t mind how spread out it is. I actually prefer it over Riviera and Resort! It’s more peaceful and quiet.
I noticed that too. Just stayed there for the first time and fully enjoyed it! Although some other resorts besides OKW have rooms available with relatively low points (BWV and AKL standard rooms) you can almost always find availability at SSR! I also recommend Lyft over busses if you're like me and really dislike busses lol.
I remember back in the good old days (circa 1998) when Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort was home to the WONDERFUL Disney Institute. At that time, The Artist's Palette was a table service location. Many of the tables were round and comfortably sat 6 people. And at every lunch and dinner, there were two AMAZING perks: 1. The menu changed daily based on what was Market fresh that day or if there was a featured visiting Chef. 2. A Disney Imagineer would sit at each table and converse with Guests during the meal. Another unforgettable treat: every night, Disney Institute hosted musicians who gave FREE informal concerts in the intimate indoor performance venue. In particular, I recall beautiful and insightful performances by the St. Lawrence String Quartet. They happened to be on a week long residence at the Disney Institute.
@@hairdresser1300 I did a quick search on Wikipedia and read that the restaurant at Disney Institute was called "Seasons." I was certain though that when I dined there it was called The Artist's Palette.
Well, Quincy, that was a lovely blog. I stayed twice to SSS alone with my husband, that was the most relaxing trip ever. We walked to Disney Springs every morning for breakfast, lunched at Artist Paalette and then hit the Parks. We absolutely loved that resort even if it’s a loooot of walking.
Is it just me, or is the best part of staying at a Disney Resort, is listening the calming ResortTV music loop while falling asleep. Even when I’m at home, I don’t listen to the RUclips hour loops because it would make that feeling less special.
I was so excited to see today’s video was another resort tour. All of the Disney resorts are so unique and it’s always fun to see what each one has to offer.
SS is where we stayed years ago on our very first trip. We loved it! We’ve gone a dozen times since then staying at a different resort each time. It’s my third favorite, with Wilderness Lodge and The Boardwalk beating it.
The newly refurbished rooms are a HUGE improvement over the old ones, and a lot of changes overall in the hotel have made it feel less like an apartment block and more like a Disney-Quality Resort hotel. My major complaint here now is the lack of transportation options, and the fact that it is pretty far removed from most of the parks. Proximity to Disney Springs shopping and Dining, however, is excellent.
We are at Saratoga Springs now. We have a car, and after a bit of orientation , we got around really well. We are DVC and in a One Bedroom. Other than there being a LOT of doors in the bathroom, we are really enjoying our stay. Our room was ready by the time we got to the resort.
It would be great if All Ears could review some of the "off property" resorts that are close by like the Marriot or even the Four Seasons - especially since some of the perks of staying on site have been diminished since the re-openings. I'd love to see a comparison! Thanks Quincy!!
I stay at Saratoga Springs every year I go to Disney World! I love the hotel rooms since you get enough space (Well, depends on which one you get). Some of their hotel rooms are like apartment homes, that's why I love staying there. And not to mention the pool, activities, lakes, and dining there!🌟💖
Isn't checkin at the DVC resorts 4:00 pm? I stayed here with my kids last June and we didn't feel like it was that much walking, we had a standard one bedroom villa in The Grandstand, but felt like with the feature pool and restaurants being so central, it wasn't too much walking. We really loved how many great pools there were. We loved that Grandstand pool was RIGHT outside of our room for a quick swim or could walk over to the High Rock Spring pool if we had more time. The cast members at the gift shop and bell services remember us everyday and it was the first time we felt that "home" feeling. We aren't DVC, but visit about 4 times a year and LOVE Disney. We are staying here again for spring break and are extra excited the boats are running again.
We love Saratoga Springs. We were just there last week. We are going back in April and there will be 8 of us. We are looking forward to it. Points are not very high which is nice.
I went to the Disney Institute. When it was there, it wasn’t really professional learning. It had sports, media, and cooking classes. I took rock climbing, animation, and a healthy cooking class. I also had an excellent chicken salad sandwich at their restaurant, which has been the inspo for my own recipe.
Nice to see you breaking into the deluxe resorts, I hope you get around to doing Old Key West. My personal favorite, and another opportunity for massive amounts of cardio.
Saratoga is wonderful and I think it’s the best resort on property. Really do, and I’ve stayed at most. Walk or boat to the best restaurants at Disney Springs. Lovely theme and gorgeous grounds. Some of best pools on property. Great gym. Great quick serve. Very peaceful. Surprised at how it even overtook Boardwalk as our favourite this trip. And of course along with Riviera has some of the best rooms on property. The only thing I would say is the Turf Club and Lounge area need a total remodel. I hear that could be coming.
FYI, the hideaway bed is a "Murphy" bed, not a "Trundle" bed. Also, DVC always only provided paper plates, cups, etc. in DVC Deluxe Studios over the years. Only 1, 2 and 3 BR Villas have real plates, cutlery, pots, utensils, etc. for guests to use.
Came here to say the same. Wanted to add that I appreciate the TV being in front of the couch. Better for viewing & less strain on the mattress as it isn't be used as seating for the television.
Wait, they have a 3pm check-in?! Totally agree with you about the placement of the TV! They should definitely swap that bench around with the dresser, especially considering the drawers aren't too deep to get in the way of walking from one part of the room to the other. That dip looks SO delicious, oh my goodness. The 'Future Quincy' interruption had me rolling lol! That has to be the largest 'grocery' section i've seen at a resort, wow. We did the S'mores Kit over at Kidani, and the kids (and myself lol!) loved it! I'd love for you to explore the Riviera!
SS was our first DVC stay a couple of years ago...we had some issues- lack of USB ports and uncomfortable sleeper sofa...after refurbishments, it is a WONDERFUL DVC stay. The points are usually less there than any other resort. Our last stay was a 1BR with DS view. It was so nice. My mom was with us and she didn't do any parks...so it was a nice stay for her.
We were just there last week and we loved it and so did the rest of the family with us. It was quiet and we loved being able to walk to Disney Springs.
We stayed there during our last trip with our friends and we loved the resort. It's huge! We stayed on the Paddock too and it took us a while to find our way around. But once we did, we walked to the lobby and Disney Springs-wayyy faster than the busses lol.
You are excellent at reviewing hotels! if I needed to stay at a hotel at any point, I would want a Quincy review of it first. Also loved that you called it a "bebe sink"... the AllEars crew is really into Schitt's Creek it seems.
I love staying at SSR its so nice to be able to leave the parks and have such a easy walk from our resort to Disney Springs for a wide variety of dinner options.
Um, what? I've been a Parks geek for twenty years, and can't recall ANYONE ever saying Saratoga was the "Worst" on property. (Apart from it being too expensive for non-DVC, and forgotten by the DVC's once the new Deluxe Villas were built everywhere else.) My generation grew up believing that nobody ever stayed at All-Star Sports, except for the cheerleaders and school-band trips.
I just came back from my 2nd stay at SS. I really enjoy this resort. The only bummer is that I couldn't rope drop the parks via the bus. BTW the TV can tilt out from the wall so you can watch it from the main bed. And in the studio I stayed in, it was hung more dead center in the room.
I really want Quincy to get to Disneyland! She would love Mickey's Mix Magic projections on Small World! She would get it. And she deserves lobster nachos and the brussel sprouts at Lamplight Lounge.
Absolutely love SS. We have stayed at pretty much every resort (except Riviera) on property and this is the one for us. I like to golf, the wife likes the spa. We both love the short walk(or boat ride) to the restaurants, bars, and shopping at DS more so than being on the monorail line or being in the middle of nowhere at AK. Least favorite resort is hands down Grand Floridian.
Quincy - love the video. You should definitely get a steadicam for the tours - will make the footage a lot smoother and less up and down with your steps
it's our dvc home so we've been there a number of times. One time we stayed in the last building in Congress Park and it was literally a 1 minute walk to the Springs.
we just had our first stay at bonnet creek and will never stay at a dvc again. the amenities, the room, the food, the outdoor ambiance, the price...it was unreal what we got in comparison to what we were used to paying
Jockey uniforms are called silks. I live just outside of the real Saratoga Springs in NY. Except for the horse references this looks nothing like Saratoga Springs.
Can you do transportation vids for each hotel? Like every route to each park and Disney Springs? Maybe all the ones that just have buses could be one. But it would be nice to know all the transportation options at each hotel.
I love Saratoga it has its pros and cons like every resort across the entire Walt Disney World property when it comes to going to the theme parks or Disney Springs I love the upgrades that were installed from the complete refurbishment of the queen size Murphy bed in the living room of the one-bedroom villa along with the pull-down full size under the television makes it easier to accommodate five people also easier to maintain bathtub is a big plus over the previous whirlpool tubs that never seemed to be cleaned properly
🍀🍀🍀🍀 I have had the great pleasure of staying on property a few times. Never here though...may have to consider this when we get out of our lockdown 🇨🇦 - AGAIN!!! I need Disney back in my life 😁
I'm going to Disney at the end of March even if I have to swim across the Lake Erie to get into Buffalo (I'm 🇨🇦 as well). We will be staying at Saratoga Springs but I'm renting a scooter for the week so walking won't be an issue for me. 😁
I think you either got lost or are the worlds slowest walker. We've stayed at SSR over a dozen times and even the furthest building in the Carousel section is barely a 10 minute walk to the lobby. And that's pushing a stroller haha
We LOVE LOVE LOVE Saratoga Springs Resort! It is like living in a community of Disney fans. The grounds are beautiful and very relaxing. There is an abundant variety of water fowl & birds. They Community Center has fun activities. It is reasonable walk to Disney Springs, or you can take a boat or bus. It is so lovely at night with the sounds of the crickets & frogs. We always ask to stay in the Paddock section: it is a reasonable walk to Disney Springs (without paying a premium fee for the Congress Park section), the kids love the pool, and the Paddock Grill services up counter service meals & has a soda refill station. The walk across the bridge to get to Carriage House is so pretty and doesn't take that long. Since Disney refurbished the rooms, the wall bed in the living room is fantastic! The rooms are so nice and new. I know that people think that SSR is sprawling -- and it is, but I think that all the DVCs are different to appeal to different tastes. If you live in the big city in an apartment with no ponds, grassy areas and meandering paths, SSR is a glorious change with water, beautiful landscaping and wonderful walkways. Perhaps if someone lives in a home and has to drive a distance to a store or entertainment, then something like Beach Club Villas or the Bay Lake Tower may seem like an easier vacation with everything at close proximity. Disney has a DVC Resort or a Disney Resort Hotel that appeals to nearly every preference. We always enjoy staying at SSR, so please keep telling everyone it is Disney's 'worst' DVC. More vacancies for us! LOL
When Saratoga Springs was Disney Institute, it was amazing. We spent a day at Disney Institute and took an animation drawing class and a class where we cooked a dinner that was featured on the front cover of a food magazine. I can't remember everything we cooked but we made pesto and a berry crumble which was amazing. It was a great idea that we wish was still offered at WDW.
I love Saratoga Springs. We always try to stay there. The new decor is beautiful.. Love the activity center. They also have the BEST restaurant in Disney World and it has finally reopened - Turf Club Bar and Grill!!
Love this resort. This is my DVC Home resort. Just stayed here Dec 2021, in Congress Park (nice walk to Disney Springs), love the new refurb, 1 bedroom place, the Murphy bed was so comfortable. Did mobile check in, so quick & easy, didn’t have to go to check in desk.
The clickbait title got me! I thought it was implying that Quincy had a bad experience and was naming SSR as the worst resort 😬 I’m glad to see that’s not the case 😅
I'm not surprised at the click-bait. Having to stand in line that long to learn my room number would piss me off from the beginning. I'm wondering if that room number problem couldn't have been solved with a phone call, while waiting comfortably in the car. If not, boo hiss to this hotel.
Love this! I’m very interested in staying at Saratoga Springs so this was a great video 😊 Love The word from future Quincy 😂 also the edits with the jockey statue 😂 All Ears…. You guys are the best!
I also really hope that Molly put a penny in the flip-movoe boxes inside the Penny Arcade which really to operate and will play a flip book short for 1 cent
I thought when they did the refurb they added both the full Murphy bed and the twin bed under the TV? I didn’t realize there were any studios left without the smaller bed.
The board game in the restaurant that you pointed out but didn't know what it was...it's called parcheesi. My parents had this from their childhood and we played it a lot growing up.
So a Three Bedroom Grand Villa for 2 nights and 3 people would cost $3,580 to $6,340. Or you could stay at the Galactic Starcruiser for $5,299. Really doesn't seem like too much of a stretch now... I mean, if you can afford to stay at this kind of resort for 2 nights... you can stay in Star Wars for 2 nights... and get an experience. Maybe this is what they should be marketing?
Great resort review Quincy! Love to see Old Key West review some time. We stayed at SSR in mid January in a Paddock studio 4647. I liked it had a trundle bed instead of a sofa bed, my daughter said it was more comfortable. Renovated room was very nice. I would have liked a table and chair. Nice views and very quiet, 6min walk to quick service and lobby. Didn't have car, used Uber to parks and busses back seemed to work well for us.
Quincy. I breally enjoy your Resort Tour Stays. Have you stayed at Disney's Contemporary Resort? Love to see a tour of that before I stay there in the new year.
Not sure why SS gets so much hate. It's one of my favorites. Its usually the cheapest DVC point trade out too. The rooms are nice, there is a lot of pools and they are fun, its quiet. The fact it takes 5 minutes to walk to DS and you have all those options + a quick boat to OKW and Port Orleans is great. The downside is the QS sucks for sure!
We love Saratoga Springs, absolutely the best hotel if you plan to frequent Disney Springs. Also, it doesn’t take long hat many DVC points to stay there…
My first Home resort. When we bought it, SSR was considered the ghetto. Whelp it's always poppin. We love it. 💎 Close proximity to POFQ and Beignets😋 💎Walking distance to DS. 💎Best views from Congress Park 💎INTERNAL BUSES Yep it's the worst Disney property ever😉
Quincy love ya but if you called it a trundle one more time....lol!! I was like no it is not a trundle....it is a murphy.....and then my husband joked I should leave a message....then you corrected it....we started laughing. Saratoga has been our resort for the last 2 trips. Hoping we can go again next year....last trip was 2019.....I need to go home!
Non DVC member, used David's DVC Rental saved a ton of money. We stayed in the Springs, same room as seen in video. IF you stay in this area and have to use busses for parks, please be aware that this is the last stop in their loop; therefore, you are the last to board, the busses can only accommodate 2 ECV's per bus...if it's busy, you will have to wait, and wait, and wait...best off going to the Grandstand...that's their 1st stop. As per Quincey, the resort is a nightmare of confusion. As a former Cast member I can say this is a very clean& quiet resort with larger than standard rooms. Please also note for the room type Quincy had, there's no hand soap..used the dish soap ...worked out, wish we would have known!
The issue with Saratoga are the bus lines as the resort is huge!! Not to mention how many old people stay there with scooters…so you’re waiting ages to load them and lose 6 seats every bus. Jesus….never again!
At the beginning this resort was not appeal to me, but thanks to your video I changed my mind. I find the room (what a view!) and the landscape beautiful. I hope to see Tree house villas.
We like to spend time at the resort venue we stay at so this was very useful. We are not fans of using the buses so I would love to know how challenging it would be to use an Uber or Lyft from Saratoga springs or when you do the other resorts that do not have the monorail or the skyliner (my favorite) to EPCOT or the Magic Kingdom. Thank you
It’s super easy to use Uber or Lyft. We always do. Waaay faster than waiting for busses. They pull right up to the front of the hotel - sometimes right beside of the porte co·chère. There are lots of drivers that hover around the Disney areas so it’s just minutes before they arrive. As for parks there are specific ride share pickup and drop off areas. Easy.
Here is some bed science crazines for you.....stayed at all star music and I ended up sleeping in the Murphy bed. It was much more comfortable than the regular bed.
Quincy.. You may not know this... Long before the Disney institute.. There used to be 2 bedroom vacation villas. Their was 3 bedrooms but the third bedroom had to be locked out because of fire codes. But my family used to stay in these villas. They were much larger with full living and dining rooms.
Does anyone else want to see the whole All-Ears gang do a staycation in one of the Treehouse Villas for a weekend? No? Just me?
I'd watch that video all day
That would be amazing! I miss Melizza - I hope we see her again.
I would watch that!
@@efnaha9303 me too. Melizza is like Molly jr
My vote is for a tent stay at Fort Wilderness! 🤣
We just did 12 days at Disney World and split our stay between Animal Kingdom Kidani Village , Saratoga Springs and Bay Lake @ The Contemporary Resort. We were surprised to realize after our stay that Springs was our favorite of the 3 overall.
TWELVE DAYS at Disney? In twelve days you could have seen so many real historical spots in Florida. What a waste

@@theknittingchick oh how I wish...I may just NEED to make it happen. Have a magical vacation 🥰
Love Saratoga Springs! We stayed here once and I would be happy to go back. For dinner I would definitely go to disney springs instead of Turf Club.
41:00 Or Dolphins, according to the architect that designed the Swan and Dolphin apparently.
I think you either got lost or are the worlds slowest walker. We've stayed at SSR over a dozen times and even the furthest building in the Carousel section is barely a 10 minute walk to the lobby. And that's pushing a stroller haha
We love this resort. It is very relaxing and so convenient to Disney Springs. It’s is actually very underrated.
The first Disney resort I ever stayed at was Saratoga springs in October of 2021. Absolutely loved it!
Quincy, I love your resort review videos!!! I would like to see the Tree Houses...
It was a great idea that we wish was still offered at WDW.
i was never much for this resort, but having to deal with a nor’easter this weekend, i’m so there.
Great tour Quincy, thank you. Boardwalk villas next please?😁
I love Saratoga Springs. We always try to stay there. The new decor is beautiful.. Love the activity center. They also have the BEST restaurant in Disney World and it has finally reopened - Turf Club Bar and Grill!!
That would have been cool to do your resort tour using a surrey bike!
Disney Institute was inspired by the Chautauqua Institution in Western NY....close to where Eisner's MIL lived.
We LOVE Saratoga Springs!! So close to Disney Springs.
Woah woah woah. I love SSR. I’m a DVC owner and I Stan SSR lol
I love this video! Quick question...are the boats accessible for those on ECV's or wheelchairs?
Love this. Thank you, Quincy.
Omg… it’s a Murphy Bed, not a trundle bed! Lol they’re not bad though!
what?! this is my favorite resort in Walt Disney World
The clickbait title got me!
Love this! I’m very interested in staying at Saratoga Springs so this was a great video 😊
Love The word from future Quincy 😂 also the edits with the jockey statue 😂
All Ears….
I was going to write that too! I love that game!
Good point!!
I’d love to see a Ft Wilderness tent camping video!
Hello Quincy would it be possible to do a video of Riviera in tower room?
We love it.
💎 Close proximity to POFQ and Beignets😋
💎Walking distance to DS.
💎Best views from Congress Park
💎INTERNAL BUSES
Yep it's the worst Disney property ever😉
Thank you quincy I always look forward to you stay cation reviews
Easy.
Would love to see your take on the Poly.
The DVC studios always have disposable dishes because there is no dishwasher. The 1-3 bedrooms still have real dishes.
Here is some bed science crazines for you.....stayed at all star music and I ended up sleeping in the Murphy bed. It was much more comfortable than the regular bed.
Hi there, do you have to pay parking for disabled parking ❤
I think the spa should go in the pros column, even if it isn’t open right now.
Quincy.. You may not know this... Long before the Disney institute.. There used to be 2 bedroom vacation villas. Their was 3 bedrooms but the third bedroom had to be locked out because of fire codes. But my family used to stay in these villas. They were much larger with full living and dining rooms.
Nice resort tour. How about doing Fort Wilderness? Both the cabins and how it is for an RVer.
