    hey Billy at 6:52 올림 comes from 올리다 right? but you wrote it as 오리다, between these two who's correct?! ♡

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  2 года назад +10

      Yes, it was a typo. It should have a ㄹ at the bottom, as 올리다.

    Wow! You write 바라요, which is absolutely correct! Lots of Korean people still misuse it by writing 바래요

    I used to post an appreciation letter post in a 카페 on 더캠프 app (an app that's mainly dedicated for SK military new recruits) in April 2020 to express an appreciation for all the military staff who were in charge for the Company 10 of Batch 1036 intake at 6th Infantry Unit (Blue Star Battalion) and I put 배상 at the very end of the letter after my name.

    hi billy.. Can i ask a question?? (not related to this video) uhm, what is the difference between the particle 입니다 & 이에요/여요??
    Well anyway, i am so thankful to have you billy bcz you're the reason why I master the korean alphabets last 2019 and until now, i am still watching your videos as one of your loyal subscribers. I wish that someday, i will become like you just like being a fluent speaker of korean language☺❤ Keep up the good work billy💪🏻❤

      이에요/여요 is informal polite, you can use this to your friends while 입니다 (formal polite) is used when talking to someone superior and/or older than you

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  2 года назад +2

      That's just the difference between a formal ending (the 니다 form) and an informal one (specifically the 요 form). If you search my channel for "Formal Speech" or "Politeness Levels" you'll find a few lessons about both of those :)

      @@GoBillyKorean Oh my Goodness! Billy thank you so much for replying. It really helps me a lot❤ Now, I already know what's the difference between the particle 입니다 & 이에요/예요☺❤

    Thanks for the video Billy. Just wondering if the sentences in the letter should end in 어/아요 form or just simply the -다 form? Should we imagine ourselves speaking to the recipient in person? Thank you!

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  2 года назад +1

      Since you're writing it to someone, you would not use the plain form. The plain form would be if you're writing a journal to yourself, or a news article - but not a letter.

    Which sentence is correct
    오렌지가 이천원이에요
    Or
    오렌지를 이천워이에요?
    I am confused in this can we use object particles with sentences like this or not. Please clear this 🥲

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  2 года назад +1

      The object marker isn't used with descriptive verbs, or 이다. ruclips.net/video/E2jrWqBDilM/видео.html

    • @PaulCHa

      It’s 가 because you’re describing the orange so that’s the subject of the sentence. It’s not an object of an action.
      Billy’s linked video about those particles is excellent at explaining these particles!

    small question, would 드림/욀림 go right after the name, or would there be a space? for example, 철수드림 or 철수 드림?

    How would I start a letter to my step mom? Is it 새 엄마께 or just 엄마께 or is it her name followed by 엄마께? I'd ask her but I want this to be a surprise. Thanks.

    • @JamesTermy
      @JamesTermy 2 года назад

      I'm going to use 어머님께 in case anyone else wondered... I checked with an 아는두새 today and a family member doesn't require their name from this example.
