- Cheslie Kryst’s life was celebrated on Friday at a public memorial in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her mom April Simpkins spoke at her memorial, reflecting on her favorite memories of her “best friend” and urged others to “be selfless like Cheslie.”

Be selfless in serving others but remember to preserve yourself. Sometimes we give so much of ourselves to others at the expense of our own health and well being. Take care of you first, before you can fully serve others. Be kind but be wise in kindness. Learn to say no when necessary and choose carefully the things you say yes to. There is only one you, protect you. RIP previous soul.

You hit the jackpot with your mom. I remember going through a bout of depression so bad that I felt like driving off of a bridge. I told my mom this and her response was, with anger in her voice, "Why ate you doing this to me? I'm trying to enjoy my day and you come with this!!! Just be happy and stop thinking so much." I swear that I wanted to kill myself right there, in front of her, just to piss her off even more. Knowing her, she would've been mad about having to clean up my guts and wished that I had done it at a hotel or in a yard or something vs being sad that I took my life. She is a very stubborn, narrow-minded, uptight person who always plays the victim. So be thankful for your mom because I dream about that sort of relationship with my mom.
My Heart hurts for her Mom. Just anyone that is hurting, I just want you to know, even the ones that lash out, you are not alone. Reach out to a neighbor or anyone that you think may be kind. Even if they turn out not to be, just know someone will listen to you and care. No matter where you are, in a store or wherever, just start talking to an adult. Say hello to a store employee even. You never know, they may be that person you need, at that moment, to hear you. Blessings.

She talked about her mental health and being overworked and scared of turning 30 because she thought she wouldn’t matter anymore in society :( it explains so much 🥺 RIP Cheslie you will never be forgotten 💗🙏
Her mom’s eulogy gave me chills watching it live. I can’t even imagine how difficult this must’ve been for her, yet she somehow found a way through her pain to honor the life of her baby girl. Praying for continued strength and peace for her Mom as well as her extended family.
I cannot imagine what her mother is feeling but I pray that God will give her and her family the strength to stay strong at this difficult time they are all having to face. I will continue to keep you all in my prays🙏

Because this is the way you would behave in the public, to earn sympathy from others, doesn't mean everyone behaves this way.
I lost a son 20 years ago, in the Marines, and even my family doctor (who was also a personal friend), was concerned with the fact that I hadn't properly grieved. But, a year after my son's death, the bottom fell out, when I realized he was no longer coming home.
This, my dear friend, is called being in a state of shock, and unbelief. The loss of a child is ultimately the worst pain, a loving parent will ever experience. And just because Cheslie is gone and buried, doesn't mean that her mother has accepted it.
So, because she isn't clowning for the cameras, and for the public, doesn't mean she isn't hurting. Please stop being the judge of others when you haven't walked in their shoes.
The question shouldn't be what's wrong with you everyone else... maybe, the real problem lies within you. Ask God to give you a heart of compassion for others, and to help you not be so judgmental.

Yeah idk I agree with you. My mom was jealous of me and tried to kill me. It will never sit right with me. My mom was a narcissist and liked the attention. I would be so sad to know she did kill me and spoke at my memorial like this.
But I walked away from my whole toxic family a year ago after my mom pulled me by my hair to the ground. We are a family with many guns so I knew I had to get out. I feel this mom doesn't really care and its just another sad story of a beautiful daughter with a narcissistic mother.

@@jamesgunz5970 I just watched a movie on Disney plus not expecting to relate but dang. I love films that have a narcissistic mom. Its sad but even the movie tangled. I understand the main character. I remember my mom wanting to keep me sheltered and always acting like she knew best. It truly sucks. I thought I could bite my tongue and keep trying to have something with my mom. But no. My own oldest brother raped me as a kid and when she found out through my best friends mom when I was a teen. She told me to shut up and keep it to myself. Never tell anyone. So I didn't. Until I made a public post about it early September. And my grandpa and aunt weren't even supportive. Supposedly I should have told when it happened and that would have made a difference. Now my aunt calls me fake. And my grandpa said to get help or write a book. Sadistic family. People would have easily thought I had the perfect family life to had I not written about my rape and my moms insidious abuse and physical assaults against me. The only people there for me now are not relatives. Its crazy.
This beautiful woman had her entire life ahead of her, this is so heartbreaking 💔

I remember when my children were in middle school. Their principal had to take some time off because his 16 year old son had committed suicide. His son was taking flying lessons., he was playing an instrument, he was an honor student, he was athlete, and on and on. He was praised to keep accelerating in everything!
No matter what he never complained.
He didn’t have a day off!!
Just one day , he took his own life.
Why do we think it’s so important for people to become, to be geniuses, to take on so much without realizing the overall damage it can do.
Is it ok to just be what the world calls mediocre?

It's still so hard to imagine that a woman as beautiful as Cheslie K would or could lose her will to live at such a young age. This had to have been a horrible nightmare for her mother April to endure as a beloved and most doting mother who loves and adores her beloved child wholeheartedly. I have never ever in all of my 59 years of age FELT this kinda undying love between a mother and daughter they truly had a bond that should envy but all my ❤️ won't allow me to do so. You are truly blessed beyond measure when you have a mother who loves you immensely with a complete heart I never ever once experienced but my ❤️ mourns and grieves with all that loved and adored Cheslie K

Why? Because people who appear to have everything on the outside can't be depressed? This is exactly the problem - people don't understand that depression affects EVERYONE. Your socioeconomic status makes no difference. Please educate yourself. Material success, fame, etc. can't heal the hole in a person's heart. In some ways, people who have everything can be the most depressed when they realize they have everything they ever wanted and are STILL not happy. Mental illness is a real thing. My cousin committed suicide three years ago, and on the surface, he appeared to be the happiest person you'd ever meet. He NEVER indicated that anything was ever wrong. You just can't assume you know what a person is dealing with.

I lost my daughter Lauren, she was murdered (8/28/2004) she was always laying or sitting on me for fifteen years. I pray for you even now as I write. When I think about losing everything, I remember Job. God hand picked him to suffer. The devil delighted in taking Job’s wealth, all his children, and ultimately, his health. However, Job did not sin against God. He remained faithful and God restored Job and he prospered again. All I know is that Jesus will meet you right where you are in your painful state. If you trust him, he will make your wounds in your heart bearable. There will always be trouble in this world and some will suffer more than others. However, when the storms of life break us, Jesus is waiting to help us. After all, he died so that we might live…live eternally with HIM. Just call on him now, he is ready and willing to help you through these tough days. God gives life and he takes it…He is the Sovereign God. It is not our place to decide life issues. I believe God when he describes himself as “Merciful and Gracious, Long Suffering, Abundant in Goodness and Truth”. It is a big step to trust God at this point in your life. However, I encourage you to draw closer to Him and watch how your life will change. I pray you will read the Gospel of John in the bible. Follow up with Romans 10:9-13. God is no respecter of persons. Trust Him. Blessings!

Cheslie is gone and she cannot communicate anything to those she left behind. However, God is still on the throne. He knows exactly what happened to this girl. I pray that he will reveal the truth. I pray that every time we look at a video of Cheslie, it will remind us to draw near to God. May we endeavor to appreciate life and love one another. Families around the world need to heal. Mom saying hope of her presence is because she know her daughter really didn’t commit suicide what I got from it. Last speaking get help and giving out number help push narrative. I agree please please let GOD reveal the truth. Insane her mother of all people would think her baby not only committ suicide but leap from 60th floor she not my child I can’t fathom her doing that to herself I can’t and if I did believe that I don’t think I would be able walk or talk each passing day being and knowing she and I are Christian know the Bible.
