As Simone's father, I will say that this documentary was well done, absent the interrelationships among the G.R.L band who lived together in Hollywood. A deeper dive into individual band members' issues, including Coachella Valley travels, and who amongst the band was invited to transition services were telling. Who was Simone close to, in the band group? It actually showed in the true emotional responses in the documentary.
I’m honored to have done your daughter justice. Is there anything you can tell us about the relationships between her and her group members? Not much information is available online. Also, I’m curious to know how/why your presence was removed from Lighthouse, if you’re comfortable with sharing 🙏🏾
I met her in 2011. She performed for a party for the International Federation of Black Prides. When I first saw her sitting quietly and looking like Vanity in a lace skirt and fitting top with her signature platform boots i felt like she was a superstar. She sang He Likes Boys and another song. I was a fan instantly. She worked the small room like a professional and then mingled with all of the guests. She was so down to earth and super sweet. I felt like I just wanted to be her big brother and best friend. When I heard of her passing I was so sad. Thank you for putting this together. I was happy to learn more about the artist that captured my heart and attention with her sweet personality and amazing talent.
I can’t believe I’ve never heard of her. I’m ashamed, & saddened. She deserves to be remembered, & talked about. Thank you for introducing her to me. I will never forget her.
This was such an era for me and I'm 33 now Whenever I hear someone from that era has passed away, it feels like I lost a real friend. A friend is someone that you can always count on to pick you up when you're down and celebrate you when you're up. And that's what a lot of those artists did for me during this period when music was so adventurous. I pray Simone's soul has found peace and we can meet again one day so we can relive a time when things were just...pure. 💜💜💜
I almost ended my life early 2023, what's worrying is how easy it felt! I was like 'if you can just walk to the balcony all your problems can be over in 2min from now' no one knew what I was going through coz I'm good at hiding my problems. Only remembering how my mother will suffer and probably die from heartbreak and how my kids will have to live with that pain for the rest of their lives... only then i found the strength to fight. In just a week I was out of danger. Plz talk to someone when depressed otherwise it's not easy to resist that deadly thought 😢
I don’t think that people realize how often suicide may cross a person life who may not be suffering outward. It happens more often now. Some people just decide that they really don’t want to be here anymore. It’s truly sad. For those thoughts to even enter your mind is heartbreaking. However, I can honestly say that I understand. Been there.
Simone's death came like a week after I heard the Ugly Heart, and became an instant fan. Hearing her story and seeing her legacy does bring some comfort. RIP Simone.
I remember the beautiful Simone Battle. I was so shocked and disappointed when it was announced that she had allegedly committed suicide. She was such a HUGE talent and had this IT factor about her that would have taken her so far. I was also a fan of the GRL and was looking forward to seeing them rock the charts. This was such a well-put-together documentary. You served her legacy very well with this tribute. Thank you for sharing.

In Hollywood, they are asked to do unspeakable things for fame. Maybe they pressured her, or she gave in, and that ate at her conscience. BTW she could have also been sacrificed for other's success.
I agree look how the other girls couldn't contain their disdain for her and talk around her as if she was not there. I also think many of these celebrities has sold their souls for fame and success. I think Keke and Britany Spears just to name a couple.
I pray that no one took advantage of Ms Battle sexually. That has been something that's hard to overcome, especially with a possible pre-existing mental state of mind. At any rate, she was very talented, beautiful, as well as vibrant and could make people like myself without her obvious gifts, doubt our place in this world. She should still be here. 😢

Simone had a spiritual light and was outgoing. Her personality shifted by being withdrawn and less participation in interviews because maybe she was a victim of the elites. Most likely, she was too ashamed to tell her loved one's and thought she would overcome the depression and pain.

I've never heard anything good about Dr. Luke and even now when I heard Doja Cat was under his management I was just thought to myself I hope when she walks away, she's unscathed.
I don't know about that one....
Doja is probably into that weird eyes wide shut Illuminati sex party stuff
I remember Simone's passing. I had just learned of her just before she passed. She was so very beautiful and talented. I have a daughter and equally bright light of my own, and I cannot imagine the pain that her family experienced. So sorry.
Never heard of Simone my God she was beautiful and talented may her grave be spacious and light
I found this page quite by accident. Its very difficult to sit here at my desk and finally learn about some of my audio loves of the past. Thanks bro. These docs are magnificently made.
I still remember her from the movie, we the party. I think she realized how demonic hellyweird was and the entertainment industry 🤔 she wanted out, but already had signed that Contract with them people 🤦
Right
Hollyweird. 😢
y'all so shady for that 3:51 😂
IM SCREAMING!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Jeury .I loved to watch Simone on her quest to fame and was so glad when shec finally achieved her goals. She was beautiful and talented and fierce .I was saddened by her passing .I would have loved to have seen how her legacy continued to flourish.
RIEP Simone 💔💕
Thank you for this tribute ... She is legendary... Still is my star in the sky ❤❤
The Solange comparison was crazyyyy!
R.I.P. Simone Battle ❤. Gone but never forgotten ❤🥀. Also, well made video
Very sad. From the outside, people look like they have it all. What a beauty and a talent. RIP.
Definitely made me cry ! I remember this beautiful soul many yearsss ago ! Many her spirit forever live and be remembered 🙏🏾👸🏾💜😞
You have such a great voice to tell stories. I never heard of Simone, so this video was extremely educational. She was very talented and beautiful. Thank you.
Thank you for introducing me to such a beautiful, talented young woman. Rest In Paradise. ❤
She wasn't in a zone. She felt the hate in her girl group. When she spoke look at the other girls faces, sad. Smh.
Simone had a spiritual light and was outgoing. Her personality shifted by being withdrawn and less participation in interviews because maybe she was a victim of the elites. Most likely, she was too ashamed to tell her loved one's and thought she would overcome the depression and pain.
I just stumbled across your channel a couple of days ago and I must say you've done an excellent job on these documentaries. Very respectful and entertaining. New sub
How do a person hang themselves in a closet? From the clothes rack? The boy friend found her hanging in the closet yeah right.
👍👍
Agree. This is very suspect. Esply because white men get away with stuff like this all the time!
I know someone who tried to do it in the closet. It can be done believe me.
Robin Williams hanged himself using a door knob.

@Thorpe Yolanda
A door knob how? dafuq he do that?😯
Man I have to say this but you are by far one of the best deep divers on the platform. I've been watching your content daily and love how you humanize all of the people that you cover.
She was so beautiful ❤❤ rip superstar!
Awesome video… I did not know her story. Mental Health awareness is so vital. Thank you and Blessings to you. RIP Angel 🙏🏾❤️
Clicked on the video unintentionally but glad i did. This was put together nicely 😊 RIP Simone🕊️
Great video. I remember seeing her photos a lot on tumblr. Rest in Paradise to her❤
You wrong for that Solange one tho😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Omg Solange comparison took me out 😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂, um that's a dude 🤦🏽♀️
Sounds like an industry sacrifice, unfortunately.😕🙏🏾
Great job. This showed up in my recommendation… glad I clicked. New subscriber ❤!
Solange & Orlando Jones💀💀💀 You wrong for that😭😭😭😭😭
Poor babygirl :( Seeing her BTS at the Mary Mary shoot showed so much brightness & soul. This breaks my heart, rest in paradise angel
That Solange comparison was shade lmaoo 😂
She was fighting to keep from selling her soul.
Her parents allowed it to be sold
@@onetwo12onetwo526Her mom was definitely giving me vibes.. especially during the video of her talking about the organization or whatever buuuut idk 🤷🏾♀️
@@NaniMorrison10facts..I fast forward that part. She scared me. I thought I was tripping
I’ve never heard of her or this girl band. I must been living under a rock.
This was really good. The comparisons part was funny af 3:52😂😂. People really thought that ? 😂
At the end of this video when Simone is singing Nicki Minaj’s “starships.” The message on the beach reads “Love Forgive.” I believe at some point in our lives, we will all have to do just that! Even if the forgiveness is self. I pray her transition is beautiful just as she was…
I first heard of her when she did a cover of “Take Care” with Evan Mellows. The way she sang that stood out as one of the best covers next to Florence and the Machine. Also, he voice was soooo beautiful when she did “Santa Baby” 😢
Wow you should get an award for how well put together this is !! RIP beautiful
Ive heard this young lady's name many times in the past, but had NO idea how much she had done, and the details from all her hard work? Have to work nonstop and have thick skin for DECADES, keke palmer is a great example. Even Solange hasnt gotten where she wants to be with help from big names?
Wow what a beautiful angel. What really happened to her ? 😢God help us and may she rest in heavenly peace ❤. Heart breaking story😢
I REMEMBER HER 😭😭❤️! I was so broken when she passed!!! Still makes no sense! Ugh 💔
The solange comparison was pure shade 😂
I really like your content thank you for talking about the beautiful lives that we lost and the legacies they left behind May they all rest in heavenly peace ❤
May she rest in peace 😢I remember her audioning on American idol 😢
