True but also... She could of been involved sexually with a man who had a family and didn't want to lose that and his status for her so he killed her and made it look like a suicide. She had far too much to live for perhaps she had discovered she was pregnant and the jerk she was with didn't want to be exposed for cheating on wife so he killed her... Or he gave her some kind of disease that can't be rid of and when she confronted him he killed her and made it seem like a suicide. Last scenario the cops lazy and idiots like in Lauren case and didn't properly investigate at all just assumed it was a suicide to quickly solve/ close the case cause of her notoriety to make it seem like a suicide rather than foul play so they could look good and have her looking mentally ill instead of a victim who life was violently taken.

@@paulag7635 yes the medications are problematic they destroy your libido ( base and naval chakras ) and block third eye ( pineal gland)in that you're numb from the waste down. The description zombie can be applied to the comatose state they have you in to where you're barely even blinking .
I've literally been suicidal to where I was searching web sites on how to take an easy route (suicide) only the thoughts of my loved ones crying and pet going without food made me get a grip and deal .
It is strange though her having close family ties and such an accomplished life.I know that she probably had a stalker or bully .In actual fact the satanic doors left open by a boyfriend father or brother is another factor how the enemy infiltrate and put evil thoughts and suggestions .Thats the sad reality .R.i.p Chesley

I pray that you find the time to find love by the one who made you. It may sound cliche', but I know how Jesus has changed my life, my heart, etc. I didn't always believe, but nothing can change my mind now. If you don't know Jesus, look into Him, ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and start your healing journey. I know the hateful comments I could receive just by writing this message, but I'm doing it because my intention is to send you love.

I’m an introvert, and introverts are more likely to suffer from negative self talk and mental health issues. She mentioned that she didn’t have a lot of friends, and I can relate. Relationships are important to our mental health, and unfortunately, introverts experience exclusion and rejection from others and from my experience, it doesn’t get better with age. Introverts also like being alone, so we may isolate ourselves, which isn’t good for us long term. We can all learn from her passing, may she RIP 🕊

If U are a introvert there’s nothing wrong with U, it takes a world of different people to make a world, everyone cannot be the same, many of God’s chosen Ones are introverts, but you have to recognize this. What man has rejected God has chosen, so don’t spend your time upset when people reject U, or you don’t have a lot of friends, or you’re not popular, or you’re not someone’s standards of beauty, or you’re not a gold digger, or have big money to spread around to buy everyone off. God doesn’t look at all of that only man, God is looking at the heart. HALLELUJAH AMEN. Strange though but it is a feeling shared within humanity. I am a Hispanic male and have felt like that before. I removed time constraints to my goals and work a little at it everyday.
If we could live for 500 years, I think the not achieved feeling would dissipate because you would have enough time to make the mistakes necessary to get to a point in life where you would be satisfied. So, the point is not achievement per se but since we live such short lives, life doesn't give us enough time to feel realized.

RIP to this young woman. I have a problem with this whole story because it's only getting this much press because she was smart, pretty, mixed, and successful. If she looked like Flava Flav, picked up garbage for a living and she lived in public housing at 29 years old, this would be a non story. Black people sure do love those mixed females with the good hair. Every time somebody does a story on her, it's always about her looks. Before she died how many people heard about her? All's I'm saying is why can't people feel the same way about people who aren't as pretty and successful as her. Keep that same energy for other people who don't have what she had. She doesn't represent me as a full black person. I could have walked in her circle if I wanted to because I'm very light skin and both my parents are black. Every chance I get I tell people that I have 2 black parents. I'm proud of that. I'm not trying to be mean, but there are a ton of people that have the same issues as her, but because they aren't pretty enough or famous they tend to be overlooked. One more thing Ma'am, why did you feel the need to say she jumped from her 60th floor luxury apartment and she left everything to her mom but said nothing about her dad. I feel that was unnecessary to say, and I'm sure he heard about all that, why make it public.

She covered her illness so well but I can also relate that some days are harder than others. What I deal with is a bunch of anxiety when I’m invited somewhere and be exhausted just thinking about socializing with others. I have often canceled invitations because of it. I’m not anti social at all and very friendly but I think people don’t understand me so because I’m quiet until I feel comfortable people often think I’m stuck up until they get to know me. If they only knew how shy I was and stop judging it would be a lot easier for introverted people. It is exhausting pretending and it takes a lot to show up. You can also have panic attacks because of it. The more I watch her life and get to know her I see a lot of my mental illness within her. I’m not ashamed to say I have a mental illness and it’s okay it don’t mean you’re crazy like our people say often. The stigma needs to stop. I’m looking to start therapy again and sticking to it.

Take a moment and put into a perspective those moments as she was falling.. like really try to picture that. If she was really depressed and fighting mental health do you know just how many times she’s been on that balcony contemplating that fall? It’s devastating to even think about. All those moments she paced back and forth telling herself to just do it but something would stop her and those last few minutes before she jumped she decided it wasn’t worth it anymore. Only if someone could’ve stopped this. I honestly had no knowledge of her before this but learning about her in just this last week I can see how this is heartbreaking to those who loved her. May her light still shine in all those she touched. Rest well angel 🕊🙏🏽

It’s very hard to imagine what she was going through.
For those who are suffering through depression, contemplation of suicide is a very hard decision of course.
But psychologists say that when they finally decide to go through with it, a wave of contentment goes through their mind. The reasoning being that they know that the pain “will finally be over”.
That’s why when people interview loved ones or friends after someone commits suicide they say something along the lines of “They just seemed so happy that morning. How could this happen?!”
In any case, a terrible tragedy.
      May she Rest In Peace.

Amen to everything you said... There has been the belief that she had planned this all along. And part of the mystery surrounding her death is why she would choose such a violent and destructive end? As opposed to pills or hanging... It has been estimated that it took her 4 seconds to hit the ground. Still, the lack of any surveillance video - even some still captures of her on the terrace, has many thinking it could have been murder? And until that video or samples is released it's possible she could have been pushed or dropped...

This case shows how powerful and dangerous depression can truly be. A lot of us go to Psychologists, and express that we are battling depression and many suggest, do things to take your mind off it, and this young lady, was not short of doing things, but in the end, her last act, showed, that wasn't working. I point that out to say if medication gives you a better fighting chance don't be afraid to ask for it, don't feel ashamed of asking for it because at the end of the day it's important about you getting the help you need. May She Rest in infinite peace 😔🙏❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤!

This might sound crazy, but I feel like sometimes the more successful, you are, beautiful, whatever it is, it’s like people start to self-sabotage and think they don’t deserve it. Or they just push themselves to a limit of perfection that pushes them over the edge. All of this coupled with mental health challenges is what I see with Cheslie. Let this be a lesson to all of us that we are enough, just as we are. We don’t always have to do more, or be more, or have a standard for ourselves that causes us to self-destruct. I understand the anxiety of turning 30. I am the same age as Cheslie, and it was hard for me to turn 30. My 20s were good, but I’m aging. It’s a reminder that I’m far from what was, and the whole reproductive clock. I wish her family peace and God’s comfort.

I heard you mentioned a lot about her “older” age in regards to the perception of the pageantry world. Now I understand why she felt “old” at 30 because I was literally bewildered as to why she would think that. Especially given that it’s a great time to get “older” compared to any other time in history given the advancement in technology, the easy availability of cosmetic procedures persevering some aspects of youth ( this used to be reserved only for the rich and famous, but not anymore), tobacco use is down significantly so people aren’t aging in dog years like they used to, a heavy societal focus on taking care of yourself and the fact that we don’t work nearly as hard as we did in the Industrial Age with all that wear and tear on the body contributing to advanced aging. I know people who have lived very good healthy lives that are in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s who look phenomenal at their age compared to our fore parents. Although she tried to convince herself that it was a good idea for her to enter those pageants before she “aged” out, maybe it wasn’t when you read her article in Allure where to paraphrase, she talked about dreading the “old” age of 30 and she was running out of time. It’s laughable if it wasn’t so sad. Most people at 30 probably don’t think that way. I know I didn’t. At 30, I was just really getting started, I was on my way to accomplishing a lot of my life’s goals where this young lady had major accomplishments before 30 that many are still working on in their 30’s and 40’s, maybe even 50’s. In life, you need something to look forward to and if you feel you’ve done it all so extraordinarily well like this young woman did - well, maybe she didn’t think she had much to look forward to. Maybe she peaked way too early in life and got disenchanted with life coupled with her faulty thinking about “30” being old. Whatever the reason, there’s always a better way to deal with the troubles in your mind than to jump out of a 60 story building and violently kill yourself to end it all in no time. I hope she is resting now and let this be a lesson to us all that we really have to be steadfast in not allowing this society to poison our minds (especially women). Protect your mind folks. It’s the most important mechanism that controls everything about your inner world.

I think you made a great point about her achieving so much, so early on in life that she may have been disenchanted with life. However, I think there are so many women who dread the age of 30, especially if they don’t have a clear path career-wise, if they don’t have a significant other or they haven’t had children. There is so much pressure from society, especially in certain cultures, that your biological clock is ticking as you approach 30. At 27, I thought the same way Cheslie did; the idea of 30 made me feel like the clock was ticking. Now, at 32, I don’t feel like that at all; I feel young. Society has conditioned us to believe something that isn’t necessarily true, and it’s refreshing to hear other women in their 30s saying that they feel like their coming into their own now too. God bless you and much success to you.

The pagentry world instills the idea in its young contestants that after 29, you are old and no longer relevant. I understand Cheslie commented on this and was "infuriated" by this mentality and reality. Her death proves just how "relevant" in so many ways she in fact was to all who loved and admired her. Perhaps in her suffering, that is the message she wished to convey with the hopes that the pagentry "universe" would put an end to such ageism that caused her and others such feelings of diminshment and emotional suffering. Rest in peace and God bless your soul, Cheslie.

A woman who was so exquisitely beautiful (with a brain to match!) plus a successful career and a loving family thought the only way out of her inner torment was to jump off a high rise building- Are we paying attention enough to mental illness and how it can absolutely WARP the mind into believing false, negative stories? No way. Illness of the brain is still seen as “other” as if you can just will yourself out of it. “Be strong” “just get over it, you have it so much better than others” - This is what people say when it comes to an actual *illness of the mind* . Any other disease is seen as such. But not so much with mental illness. That’s something many people expect you to will your way out of. Why??? This is serious. And real. And so, so tragic.

Thank you for making this beautiful video. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Cheslie Kryst since I found out about her death last Monday. She was so incredibly beautiful, intelligent, and accomplished and always looked so happy. I would imagine that no one except perhaps the people closest to her ever suspected that there was anything wrong. She may have felt guilty or embarrassed asking for help in her final hours. Good mental healthcare can be hard to find even when you have good insurance. She was obviously dealing with depression and possibly exhaustion as she seemed to me like someone who pushed herself really hard. I read somewhere that she had been hospitalized for exhaustion in the past when she was studying for an MBA and a law degree at the same time. I didn’t even know her and my heart breaks for her. I can’t even begin to imagine what her parents, siblings, and close friends must be feeling. The prayer you said at the end of this video was so beautiful and touching. Thank you.
