Ive never understood why people think unranked fighters aren't good. Take into consideration the amount of people that train combat sports, now consider how many make it to the amateur level, and now consider how many go pro. Whats crazy is how if you have to be a ranked pro fighter to be considered good. But in reality someone that does combat sports for a hobby could almost certainly rock someone's world if the other is untrained and of similar size.

Damn. Looking back at this after his fight vs Green....Paddy has gotten BIG. He definitely put on some muscle since these fights. It shows that he's actually staying focused out of camp and not just eating, because even he's said that most of his training camps were spent losing weight and not getting better.
Yeah, he's always just been riding on his natural athleticism and talent with little discipline or clean movement. The difference is that he was marketable (nice face, unique hair, good on the mic etc.), so he moved up. Feel bad for him in a way, since he's got potential but just seems to pour it down the drain by not training himself in the right environment to where his potential could actually be refined. But he's also deluded, so he's really deserving of whatever he's asking for.

I have nothing against any of these fighters. Just for the fact they are in the cage on television is a testament to how brave they are. But there are so many better fighters at paddy's level, who will never see the amount of clout paddy has already conceived. The UFC for sure has taken some elements from WWE over the years. You realise alot of unranked fighters are just as if not more hungry than majority of the top 10 in said division... Being unranked doesn't make you a bad fighter and its always better to get tagged and tested early in your career to see what you can and can't take rather than testing that out in a title fight when it's too late.

Damn. Looking back at this after his fight vs Green....Paddy has gotten BIG. He definitely put on some muscle since these fights. It shows that he's actually staying focused out of camp and not just eating, because even he's said that most of his training camps were spent losing weight and not getting better.

Yeah, he's always just been riding on his natural athleticism and talent with little discipline or clean movement. The difference is that he was marketable (nice face, unique hair, good on the mic etc.), so he moved up.
Feel bad for him in a way, since he's got potential but just seems to pour it down the drain by not training himself in the right environment to where his potential could actually be refined. But he's also deluded, so he's really deserving of whatever he's asking for.
