The Canik MC9 is a value packed pistol and the demand for them has been unreal! We are going to shoot 1000 rounds through it and tell you what we really think!
You delivered my holster for my mc9 last week. It's a great holster for a great gun! This mc9 with a red dot sight. Has given this senior the confidence to carry again.

@@Joshua177 Yeah, very nice click retention. I used an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck for my last edc and it just had the hard shell on the front side, so it was more of just a friction retention. This one is full hard shell front and back plus the leather soft backing. Much better.😎👍

I have over 500 rounds through mine and also zero failures. I now have a Holosun 407k on it and to me, it is the perfect concealed carry pistol.

I got a bad one . But canik did make it right and got me the replacement part I need . Took about a month so not the fastest customer service but they did stand by there product and did make it right . As far as holster the custom holster from you guys was amazing. And all my future holster that need need will be from you guys . I love supporting American made and built quality. You guys do make a great holster.

What was wrong with yours?
@@memicusdankis4212 the recoil guide rod was defective in the pistol out the box . So you could not rack the slide all the way back to engage the slide lock on the pistol
My slide is extremely difficult to lock to the rear. Guess I need to call customer service. @@SuperAriel35

I'd love it if they came out with a paddle version but that's an HK thing now- they are the only maker still consistently offering a paddle mag release for a fully ambidextrous pistol. Apparently they have a paddle on their soon to be released micro 9.
Your holster for mine was spot on !!! Unfortunately the MC9 wasn't....sent back to Canik and IF it gets fixed to being dependable I'd order from you again without hesitation !!

Just picked mine up yesterday and took it to the range. It ate every FMJ I put through it. It’s a little picky on hollow points. Doesn’t like the fat face ones. Hopefully holster will be here soon. Thank you for your products

I have it and the only issue is the mag release which isn't ambi. I am switching it to left handed. I noticed I hit it a couple times while shooting.
I have the identical model. I have well over 400 rounds - all handloads - through mine without a single malfunction of any kind. My last 40 rounds were at 25 yards on an 8 inch steel disk and all 40 were hits. The MC9 shoots like a full size pistol.

Mine had a weak recoil spring issue. I got one of the MC9s that wasn't returning to battery... Canil sent me out a stronger recoil spring withing 7 days. And now I'm truly a happy Canik Camper...I work at Range USA...I've seen a couple have this issue, a couple too many. Not all tho. They need to tighten up their Quality Control if they gonna keep up with the other Micro compacts...But besides that..MC9 is better than all the Micros to me.

I have the two tone FDE and black, Absolutely love it!!!! Trigger is great sights are great and had no Issues at all with mine!!! Hell I can forgo the holster and drop it in my pocket!!!

I'm well over 500 flawless rounds through my MC9. Zero issues of any sort. I have the Muddy River OWB holster for it. My issue with the holster is that there is no retention adjustment. Mine needs a little fine tuning to suit me. Holding off on an IWB for now.

As far as IWB Kydex holsters, they do have adjustable retention in them.
On the OWB Kydex we do not because that spacer will wear out over time and you would not be able to change it. So at that time the holster would be useless. On a IWB Kydex we do though as they can easily be changed and back to new again.
I’m at a little over 500 with one FTF where round nose dived under the feed ramp. But I purposely used an ammo I had seen was causing that issue (blazer 124gr). But just got my holster in yesterday and can say I am impressed

Just ordered my holster yesterday!! Cant wait. I had a gx4, it was the worst. Had to trade it in. Havent fired mine yet. I hope i dont have this battery issue.

For people that are thinking about buying this gun and is not sure about the 12rd mag and how your hand wont fit. In the box it comes with a base plate that has a pinky rest on it so you can just put that on the 12rd mag and it's still not as good as the 15rd but at least now you can have your pinky on the grip while being more concealable.
I got a pretty good 1 as well as many posted here. 1.4k rounds down mine over 5 weeks. No malfunctions in firing. My magazine however doesn't eject 100% when the mag is filled. Eject fine when it's empty. Minor problem

My mc9 had some failure to feed & oob issues on my second trip to the range. Kinda disappointed but I've read that once you send it in they fix all the issues. I love the holster I got from you guys might need to change to a traditional belt clip.
Yes they have been good about fixing them is my understanding. Luckily I still have had zero issues with mine

LOVED the trigger on this gun and it does shoot surprisingly smooth BUT I did have few failure to feed. I'm also not wild about the slide release either. Overall I like the gun but I'd need to know what ammo runs well through em. 👌🏾
This one has had zero failures and we have shot all kinds of ammo from factory reman to federal. The slide release is personally one of my favorite parts.

124 grain runs best.
My pinky would just barely hang off the end of the 12 round mag, but it came with a different butt plate with a slight pinky extension on it and makes it feel perfect. Also, I forgot the name of the company but they make a rubber piece you can put on the bottom of the 15 round mag or one of the 18 round mags to make the back of the grip flush to the mag.
I like your review a lot Kevin. Detailed and to the point. One question: when you shot with the extended mag, did the mag wobble? Sometimes I feel that extended mags could damage the release as the pressure is external and your pinky might press it harder. Thanks

I've been carrying CZ subcompacts for a while hoping they would either resume production of their Rami, or someone would come out with an option that just grabs me. Along comes the MC9. Caniks are probably the best CZ clones to date, possibly even pushing them based on quality vs price point. I grabbed an MC9 for $399 and will be shooting it soon. I plan on picking up an all-steel Canik Rival S because of all of the crazy positive reviews of them. This gun fits my Summer carry requirements while still giving me a decent ammo capacity.

So frustrated with mine, love love love this gun. 150 rounds no issues, today what a nightmare every other round fails to feed and when it does it hiccups. So upset.

I wish I could get my MC9 holster light bearing but I don’t see that option. Once I can get it with a light option in instantly buying it.

Mine had going into battery and fail to feed issues. Century is great customer service. They repaired returned quickly . Still having failto feed with 15 rd mag. Tested with oother MC9 and other 15rdmags. I think it is amag problem... Century is sending new mag.

I own a FEW Caniks with no hangups TO MENTION. My MC9 on first impressions will not be in my EDC rotation. FTE was horrible with 4 or 5 magazines. Going back this weekend to test. Hoping for better.

I have it like it but to me my tp9sf elite sc is my favorite little more weight to me is better to counter that recoil.
The SC is a great gun as well. Just personal preference

Not a single issue in 1000 rounds. We used a little of everything. Blazer brass, federal, some factory reman

I would choose the Masada slim if I had to pick one

Every bit as good. Then when consider price point, I would carry the MC9

Both are amazing and so close that it’s hard to decide. For me it would be MC9 and the main reason for that is the ambi slide bar release. For me being left handed it makes it super easy to manipulate pistol.

Value prop not there with inflated prices and QC issues. Wait on this one until price declines and quality gets better

If I had to choose just one it would be Mete MC9. Kimber Mako is a great pistol too though.

Ours has been flawless to almost 3k round now. However due to do many other issues with others out there, I don’t have the confidence in it still

I have the Mecanik MO1 on my MC9 and Rival. I have to say I prefer the Holosun 407k that I have on my Elite SC over the Mecanik. The 6 moa dot that I can set the brightness on is much easier to pick up than the self adjusting 3 moa dot on the Mecanik.
Unfortunately I am not a fan of there optics. I am a Holosun guy on most all my pistols
This or Masada slim?
For me personally the mc9 , however the only reason for that is the ambi slide bar release on the MC9 as I am left handed. The Masada slim is an amazing pistol!

IDK where you found one for $399, I'm still seeing them for $499 and higher. I got mine for MSRP at $439. I'm still waiting for a replacement 12 round mag from Century that's supposed to fix the mag not dropping. A little time with a heat gun seems to have fixed that. I really like the iron sights, much easier to pick up than a dot for me.

Off shelf. Only gun on channel that was sent to us is the FN Reflex and FN just sent it to us so we could engineer holsters.

Superior build at 1970s prices. American manufactures cannot compete with Canik with the money to value offering.

Too many failure to fire issues in many reviews. Get it fixed Canik!
