Another exceptional video ! So easy to follow and explained in a professional and informative manner. I was out today with my fz 300 taking pictures of birds - using so many tips from your tutorials - I tried the 4k burst and got some birds in flight too - I cannot tell you how happy I am with the education you have so kindly provided.I’ve got some pictures that I am very happy with and I’m so keen to learn more - thanks Graham you are an absolute star - looking forward to enjoying your next video !!!

One thing when I’m taking pictures I may have the camera set in A mode with a small focus area but if I see a bird in the sky I need to switch fast to the diamond focus shape and the 4k burst - is the camera capable of having a fast way of switching between these modes rather than toggling the pivot button on the bottom right of the rear of the camera ? I will look for ideas on this in your manual but any tips would be great - best Rob

I'll have a think about that - maybe the C mode might be quicker and setting the parameters in C1 for the birds in flight.

I love taking pictures all the time! I am used to taking pictures from my iPhone and manipulating its options for best photos. However, I do like a classic camera but I haven't operated one in a long time. My husband bought me this particular cameral you're teaching about and trying to learn a manual camera is quite mind blowing and sometimes quite frustrating on my own. My husband found your videos and I'm very thankful for you and your simplistic tutorials to help me learn without the frustrations. Thank you so much, Graham! I look forward to watching one video at a time and putting into practice what you taught before moving on to the next video!

Thank you, dear author, for this video. I must express my immense respect for you and admit that at first, it seemed to me that I wouldn’t find anything new in this film because the author presents his narrative for beginners. But to my shame, I was surprised-my initial opinion changed unexpectedly. It’s indeed true that everyone has their own style, and each person shares their unique knowledge. So, I thank you. With respect.

Fantastic tutorial. I'm not a beginner but I had no idea about that pistol grip! Your tutorials always have unique tips, like getting easier access to the battery door using a cheese plate/camera bracket! I see you added a lens hood, that seems like a good idea too. Thanks for putting the time into these

I am really enjoying this series, Graham. I bought the FZ80 and FZ82 User's Guide as well, and I am thrilled with your balance of practical and technical explanations. I bought my FZ80 as a lightweight hiking camera. It will replace my Nikon P1000 for carrying on longer hikes, and weighs 1.3 lbs to the Nikon's nearly 4 lbs. I know the FZ80 lens, sensor and processing software are inferior to my Nikon P1000, but I still want to get the best photos I can with it, and I have already learned things through your book and videos that I have used with good results. Thank you very much for sharing such excellent techniques and tips in the way you do. It is not only refreshing to see good technical explanations in the book but it is actually exciting to me.

Hi Graham, thanks for these FZ82 videos, they are excellent, particularly for 'amateurs' like me :) In this video at about 5:30 you show a view which includes the current aperture in yellow. I don't see this view - how can I set the camera to show this, please? Many thanks, Rob

Graham, I really appreciate your knowledge of the FZ80/FZ82, and hopefully you can tell me what I have done to disable "Photo Style" selection (in 'P" mode). It is "greyed out". Thank you for the great videos that are helping me understand and maximize the features of my camera.

And I have just discovered I had the "Filter Effect" on (set to "Expressive") and when I turned it off, I regained use of the "Photo Style" settings... and you know what? That makes perfect sense. It's fun to learn... now if I could just remember! At 70 years old, that's becoming more difficult these days! We are going to Germany at the end of the month (we live in Florida). I want to be able to know a little more about my camera to take some gorgeous photos. Thanks to you, I will have a chance to do that. Thank you for creating these videos for us to access. I did purchase your guidebook and find what I can remember very useful.

I just purchased this camera, I am a total beginner. We are going on a safari and truly bought this camera in order to get great photos using the 60x zoom. Is there a particular setting you would recommend for a great wildlife shot and experience . Love you videos. I have learnt so much in a short time re basics of this camera.

WOW, thank you Graham! I just got my FZ-80 and FZ-300 from eBay yesterday and the FZ-80 came with your book. The FZ-80 is for me, and the FZ-300 is for wifey. Mine came with your book which was a persuading factor in buying it. I will be purchasing your book for FZ-300 for wifey soon. I am so pleased to see you are still producing content for this camera! I think this is another reason why I chose these cameras to learn all about photography through your videos. Do you know how to access the shutter count the FZ-80 per chance? I was able to access it on the FZ-300 (100+), but I cannot find any information on the internet for the FZ-80. 😞 Do you know? Cheers!

I've not seen any service information published about the FZ80 nor been able to find the Service manual yet for it. I'll put a shout out in my next newsletter to see if anyone does have one or know where it can be obtained as that will show how the service menu is accessed.

Is this a case of the "dirty zoom lever contacts" which I showed how to fix in the FZ300 play list or is the lens physically binding and giving zoom errors?
