Diego Pavia (New Mexico State). Started 1-5 as a starter, lost his job in '22 to a true freshman, got it back, caught fire and went 6-1 down the stretch and won a bowl game MVP trophy.
Well he's a Hog now! I'm excited to see what this young man will do at Arkansas in a Bobby Petrino offense. I hope our new O line coach gets that mess straightened out. It will be interesting to see what happens in the QB position for Arkansas as KJ hasn't entered the portal yet but it seems like everyone expects him to. One thing is for certain, Bobby P will start whomever he thinks will give his offense the best chance for success period. Seniority doesn't play into it, it's about who he thinks is best. Go Hogs! And welcome to the Hog Nation Taylen!

A dedicated razorback fan and lived in Fayetteville during Petrino days. Regardless of Petrino's past issues, he is a winner. He plays all 60 minutes and will always get the best out of a quarterback. Green will thrive
I gotta see him in his CFB debut last season against the Beavers. BSU was over matched and there's little he could do, but the energy and effectiveness of the offense picked up immediately. Not sure how the P5 programs missed him, he has top tier talent. I wouldn't comp him to Young, that's the knee jerk reaction people have to QBs with that build and look, they're doing it with Aiden Chiles at (for now) Oregon State. Like Chiles, Green comps better to Dennis Dixon (Ducks/Steelers); compact quick release, big arm, elusive in the pocket, and absolutely lethal if a running lane is available. Green ran on the Beavers, that's a huge statement.
Lifetime BSU fan here. TG is inconsistent. He is great at times but the flip side is awful. I hope he improves his throwing motion and decision making skills now that he’s in the SEC.
Hope he leads Boise State to some MWC titles & with the expanded playoffs, make an appearance or two. College football is better when Boise is going good. Miss those Kellen Moore/Chris Petersen teams.

He is only at 50% completion after 2 years. It's why he got benched.Probably wouldn't win the QB battle with 2 other QB's in the room at 65% plus completions. If he can get to 65% and cut down on interceptions, he becomes a big problem for opponents!
@@MJGOAT I can guarantee you that TG10 would be devastated if you did that. BSU f'd up royally by treating him so poorly. Worse is that they are blaming Avalos but it was obviously Bush Hamden who was actually mishandling him, otherwise Taylen wouldn't have entered the portal. I have it on good authority that BAA is scrambling behind the scenes to gather additional incentives to offer him to entice him to stay. However, Taylen Green is exactly what the NFL is looking for in a QB and what BSU did to him (with Maddux) was incredibly abusive. For an athlete like TG his time in college must be 100% developmental towards his career aspirations and 2023 was a horrible setback for him. I hope he returns to BSU, but not unless Hamden is either put on a very short leash or else fired.
He has been fun to eatch and I like him a lot. I think a more fair comparrison is Randall Cunningham. Pretty cool player too, but unfortunately for Taylen, it's not 1987. Randalls average 4.1 seconds to deliver a ball and eagerness to test DBs, doesn't cut it in the NFL today.

Neither is your comment. I pity spectators who believe that a player's game performance is solely under their control. His regression was due to the lack of support. TG10 was basically getting tortured under Avalos "2 QB system" you can't dillute the time a QB1 has with his position coach and expect him to flourish. Obviously now that Avalos is gone and MM is injured TG is getting the necessary reps during practice to perform at peak levels again.
