Ponniyanselvam movie once seen in theater and once in OTT, I don't understand, the way of making the movie is not good

Its because you have no prior idea of the story. Some basic historical information is pre-requisite to understand the narrative.
Rather, it's the best way to show a 5 book series in two movies.
