I have both the B12 and SL2. I'd say they both complement each other really well. SL2 for those shorter daily/recovery miles since there's more ground feel. B12 for those longer efforts when your legs are tired and need that extra pop.

Training partner for the Boston 12, or replacement?

I don't have the Boston... But the SL2 was super nice for a slow jogger like me

Never a problem with the laces. However the laces are thin and not high quality but there not the highlight of the shoes. The shoe is light, pretty fast, fits almost race like and is 10x more cushioned then the SL 1. If your a heel to mid striker your gonna enjoy this ride IMO

Hi Matt. Great review thank you. Love mine had them a month now. No trouble ever with the laces infact lockdown so good could almost do away with the laces completely! Went half size up and they fit perfect so not TTS for me. Just one annoying niggle. The day after running in them I’m getting some aching in my left Achilles which I don’t get in any of my other shoes. It’s not serious but I think if I was to run in them all the time then it might be so I’m adding them in once a fortnight at the moment. Ian 🇬🇧

If your foot is wider at all you'll need to size up. I wear 10 1/2 in all my addidas shoes and for the first time ever I absolutely had to go to an 11 in the Sl2. It's extremely narrow and the toe box Is short.
