Great idea for the LED replacements on the doors and backup lights. I know it's a look, but IMO, dimming safety equipment when this car is already invisible on the road isn't for me. I do prefer the OEM lights for the interior as I like the softer light but otherwise, this came out great. Thanks for the inspiration!

"installs brighter reverse lights, then installs light smoke overlay...🤔"...... for my (wrx) trunk I used one of those interior 10-led footwell lighting strips (two for $20) from the interior accent isle and affixed it (3m tape) to the parcel shelf. now, instead a single point of light, I have about a 10" strip of light running L/R centered in the trunk. since it is low profile, nothing is going to hit it. I can't remember if I had to make a wedge base or it already came w/one.
@@TheBTRGarage one mods begets another and another. OE trunk lighting is pathetic across all makes. 2-3 candle power (194/168) is not enough in dark trunk spaces
One of the clips on my fender liner is stuck. Pressing the center part in doesn't do anything and it is stuck when I try to pull the clip straight out. Any advice?
Oof, you might try squirting some WD40 or penetrating oil in there to see if it will loosen up. Worst case, take a small drill bit and drill out the center part of the clip. You can get replacement clips at Toyota/Subaru dealer or any auto shop.

I like the standard bulbs for interior lights, it makes everything look a little bit more stylish and gives a more warm cozy feeling
But the LED trunk light looks awesome
Yea I'm kinda torn between the OEM warm interior lights and the LED's, probably the only spot I'd put the OEM ones back.

I needed the brighter to shine through the smoke overlay 😁 That's a good idea on the trunk led strip!

@wudahu1979 they have an amber light in them, it's not actually clear/white light.

No, not yet. They do light up amber, so only the lens is clear.
