I've been a gunsmith for decades and I carry that exact firearm. I also own the SFX. Caniks are like Pringles, you can't have just one! Seriously though, they make great pistols straight out of the box, no upgrades needed, unless you want a dot, but some models come with that too. Great video. ✌️
Put one of the freedomsmith triggers on your canik they come with a damn good trigger from factory but that freedomsmith just makes it that much better
@@nathanbutler8240 I’ll have to check it out, thanks for the info.
They look, shoot and feel better than a glock and at like 200 bucks cheaper. I recommend the tp9 all the time to newer gun owners
@@Sentientmad9m Exactly. And use the extra $$ left over for some ammo or training or both depending how much you saved!
Lol that is true I have the sc elite with the romeo zero and decided to grab the combat elite too
I think "outclassed" is a reach...the SC won an award for most accurate subcompact for 2020...I consider it a subcompact hybrid, and for that niche, it's almost a perfect gun!
Just giving a shoutout to Crimson Trace, I dropped my xds with the 1500 Crimson Trace and cracked it and Crimson Trace sent me a replacement the same week, great customer service.
Lol wtf is the point in a optic that cracks when dropped? Buddies mom has one on a CPX and she dropped it in some real soft long grass and it just completely stopped working. Won't come on at all. These are junk.
@@MI2APatriot don’t drop your gun….problem solved
@@ace-pl4qh Guns get dropped and banged around. If they don't, you're not running them hard enough and are probably not worth a shit in a gunfight.
@@MI2APatriot lmao if you’re dropping your gun in a gunfight you never belonged there in the first place. Maybe one day you’ll figure out how to control your firearm.

Man I need one of those...a gun with a red dot? No, a person loading mags for me.
My wife doesn’t like shooting but she likes loading mags so I have one🤣
Some canik models come with quick loaders or you can be like me and buy the maglula/ uplula.

And One to buy the Ammo…
Love both my Caniks (Elite SC and SFX) and one of the reasons I bought them was because they already had Optics ready in addition to all the other great features. 👏👍
I got the same combo, but question for you, I found that the sfx slide fits on my elite sc, just curious if anyone has tried shooting it in that config.......
Hey guys, was there a "break-in period" with them? I hear ya gotta run 124 gr ammo for the first hundred or two rounds and then the slide won't have problems cycling the 115 gr 9 mm rounds. Is that BS??? I've heard one or two reviewers say Canik that. IDK personally and would appreciate any input. I think im going to go with the TP9 SC as my first Canik.
@@anthonygerber8261 or leave the slide locked back for a few days, allegedly does the trick as well. Also why not just use 124grain seems that what is was made for.
Been a glock guy for years but a tp9sf caught my eye and fell in love with it and just bought this exact gun and it will be my EDC real soon
i love my canik tp9 sfx, sometimes i have to leave it at home otherwise i will shoot all my 9mm at the range lol
I had one myself but felt guilty leaving it at home too big to carry but it was pretty nice
Man, i convinced my buddy to get a tp9sf and then i bought mine. So accurate and so comfortable
I’m with ya there buddy, I started with a tp9 and later got the sfx for a steal. I can’t take out one without the other, and I can’t help but put a few hundred rounds through each
I know what you mean. The "2" 20-rnd. mags. with my SFX go threw some boxes of ammo real quick.
@@joshjohnston2986 I carry mine completely Invisable I went to the range with it in my front and they though I was carrying a sub compact
I have put thousands of rounds through my Canik with a swampfox red dot. Love it, no issues.
Bought my TP9 SF Elite when they first came out for $250. One of my favorite, and most reliable pistols. Out of the box, better than a stock Glock 19 in my opinion.
Is it as reliable as the G19?
@@johnrhodes9533 I just brought one like 10 hours ago, can't wait to shot.
Man, here I thought they were a good deal at $399.
Whatttt, they're now like double that amount in 2023. Got my bronze one for 420
Thanks Eric for doin it! The Canik Elite sc is such an underappreciated weapon package. Great Vid!
I enjoy your enjoyment in working with this Canik SC. I have the TP9SF ELITE & enjoy it enough to make it my everyday CC. Looking forward to purchasing the SC next! Be Blessed Brother.
I have the battlefield trophy edition of the Canik SC and it’s my favorite everyday carry by far! Love that gun
I picked up the canik sc for work as i was driving over nights doing taxi work and i love it.
Picked up 2 Caniks in the past week. I have a Elite TP9SF & SC. Both solid shooters. And optic should be here tomorrow!
I have the Canik TP9SF and it's a beast. Very reliable and accurate with open sights as well. I can hit the 5 inch steel target at 100 yards.
That’s world class , hell I can’t even see a 5” target at 100 yds
@@robjohnson6747 I was going to say the same.
I too am a tp9 elite owner and it’s a nice piece for sure . I’ll say you sure do make that little gun behave , it sits still like one of Jerry Miculeks 9’s !
Not currently a gun owner, but when I do decide to arm up, this will be high up on the list. So far, best I've seen outside of a racegun
@Edward Warwick I can't legally purchase a gun right now. Mental health issues.
@Edward Warwick That went south REAL QUICK! 👀
Have you purchased a gun yet
Canik is simply insanely good for the price, I have the Salient warmed Canik TP9 Combat Elite Executive with a Trijicon RMR mounted to it, and trying to hide an erection while shooting it is quite difficult.
Your recoil control is stellar.
This is my edc with a swampfox sentinel A and love it

Same
Same. Metal frame and real glass, you just can’t beat it.
Using the swampfox, Can it cowitness with the factory sights?
I own the V2 and the elite both of them had to go back to century, the V2 had trigger resetting issues and the elite sheared the firing pin nipple off. The Elite's originally came with stronger recoil springs for hotter loads and people were shooting target ammo and getting weak ejections. They lightened The recoil spring but it still has a heavy striker spring which sometimes allows it to come out of battery easy. Also price per trigger is unbeatable 👌
I own the SFX and I actually do carry it with a flush 18 rounder in the winter. It's an absolute hammer.
Canik fan here ! What you get for price is absolutely uncomparable in my opinion . If you get a chance to play with with their series of pistols , they’re definitely respectable! I practice and carry my sc / sa everyday
Just got my Tp9 elite sc it’s awesome and thank you for the red dot info 👍
Fantastic! I have been carrying the Canik SC for almost a year and I absolutely love it!! I have 6 of the Canik pistols and I have had 0 issues with this line of firearms. I recommend the Canik pistols 2 just about everyone. I will have to look at the crimson trace red dot for my sub compact as well. ~Drop It Like It's Scott
Will they ever have anything smaller than the SC?
@@jamessmith5909 not that I'm aware of. I'd love to see one on a 45acp
Love my canik pistols, never had a hiccup with any of them.
Same, I’ve got about 2k in and it hasn’t had any issues.
I went with a hellcat instead because I kept hearing about mag release issues
Completely agree on all accounts. Nice video you guys.
I have a canik tp9 sa and a tp9 sfx and they are the best shooting pistols I own and I absolutely love my sfx can't wait for you guys to do a video on it
My sfx shoots way better than I can. However this was my first pistol w red dot. Now I am completely hooked.THANKS A LOT CANIK!
I love my Canik Elite SC. It hasn’t let me down in the 3 years I’ve had it
Great review.. exactly what I was looking for.
I freaking love these guns they are amazing
Have my SC currently mounted up with a Riton Optics X3 Tactix MPRD and the Canik threaded barrel and so far It's been great. I originally tried the Sig Romeo Zero and the polymer lens was scratched the first time I had to use the poorly placed on/off/brightness button. I got it replaced under warranty from Sig then returned it to the shop where I bought it for a refund and bought the Riton which has an aluminum housing and a glass lens. The buttons are on either side of the unit and are easy to reach. I mounted mine without the Canik provided mounting plate and the sight sits low enough to still cowitness my irons if the dot were to ever malfunction.
All of the Canik TP9 models are outstanding modern combat handguns.
I love mine. Bone stock and better trigger, and sights than any factory glock by a country mile, definetely better than my glocks. Havent had a single problem with mine and Im probably close to 1500 rounds. Im glad i got it early, prices are nuts if you can even find em. Not the smallest carry gun, but still very concealable, and 12+1 with a flush mag. But the trigger on this gun is just so good, you shoot it and forget about any skepticism you may have once had. Thanks Eric 🤙
I have the tp9sf, love it
I love my Canik TP9 Elite SC (blue splinter)
Looking in to the red dot and Lazer/light combo. Great video
Good video. Thanks for the CT red dot info.
I was just looking to get one of these this week to practice for a carry! Your video came just in time. So odd
Great pistol! Just got mines….first 100 rounds went flawlessly!
I have the tp9 sfx and im in love tbh
I have a TP9-SC. I put a Crimson Trace CTS-1500 on mine. I cobbed it off my Sccy CPX-2. It was a "straight-across" swap. I bench rested it to zero at the range, then fired off a box afterward. I was impressed at how well this combination worked!
The red dot mounted almost perfectly. The little nub at the back (which fits into a shallow depression at thr rear of the slide) added "just enough" length for a snug fit. I used the enclosed adapter, but I'm not sure I really needed to. People will need to use the screws supplied with the Canik for the mounting.
TP9 Elite SC is the only SC I can co-witness with a red dot..
I love my Canick too. Wish it was cut for a red dot...excellent trigger. So good in fact that I've had a few unintended double taps
I just got this optic I love it it's on my Canik tp9 sc elite. These Caniks are only cheaper in price because labor isn't as much in turkey that is why you get a very high quality gun for the price it is. I sold all my Glocks except my g20 and got caniks
I love my tp9 I've stacked 60+rounds in a 2in group at 15-20yards
Love my Canik SC Elite. Currently trying to find the right dot. I'll definitely look into this one.
Did you find a dot? Im thinking the Swampfox sentinel. I just want to avoid an adapter plate
After watching all the reviews that Sagedynamics has done on MRDs there's only a handful of dots I'd trust Trijicon RMR and any of the options from Holosun. Both make optics about as bombproof as they come and both have phenomenal warranties not to mention they both share the same footprint. As far as Canik they makes some pretty cool guns I've shot several and they're great shooters I also haven't really heard anything bad about them...
Good content is famous overseas, hi from brazil man,
I have the Canik TP9SFx with the Vortex Viper red dot, it's my favorite pistol I own. The trigger on it is amazing especially compared to most other striker fired pistols.
The sfx was my first Canik. And you’re right. That trigger is so good it made me buy more caniks. Just got the tp9 elite combat executive. It’s trigger is even better than the sfx
I just got an SFX at an auction for my first pistol, and just bought a Crimson Trace 1550 to put on it. Would you say this could be used as a carry gun, or is it too long?
I love my Canik TP9sf Elite. It’s so much smoother shooting and sexier then the Glocks of my past.
Muy bueno tu vídeo saludos desde Argentina
Had my CANIK TP9SA for over three years and it never missed a lick with the limited amount of factory ammo I've shot through it or the steady diet of cast lead handloads. Looking to pick up anther at some point.
I just picked this guy up a week ago (sans optic). Found the CT on Amazon for $116! Eric, will you throw some pics up on IG showing the co-witness with the irons? Thanks brother, love the vids!
Just purchased this one today in the blue camo 🔥🔥
This was my first handgun. Made the choice between this and a RIA 1911. I’m very spoiled now because of that trigger..
I love my Canik tp9 elite sc. I have a Sig Romeo Zero on it. It is a tack driver!!
I have the same Canik and optic and agree that it’s a good cost effective combo.
Any adjustment to fit the ct1550?
I like the Sig Romeo Zero on mines. It’s my EDC!
I looked at the Sig & the ADT and with the CT
That trigger ROCKS!
....I've been trying to talk myself out of buying a Canik since one has caught my eye but I have a bunch of 9mm already. And then you go and do this.
5:24 and 9:50 (slow-motion) It looks soft shooting. Yes, it is being gripped by a tame gorilla, but the total motion seems very mild for such a compact pistol.
I thought the same.
Turk here...
Do the TP9DA please :)
I don't have the SC but I have the TP9SF-Elite 4" bbl and it's my Fav ...
Can't has become my favorite handgun.
Ive shot many a 9mm, in my opinion the TP-9 and Sig are the two best options for trigger pull under $700.
love mine ty for the great video
Thanks for the review! Just bought 2 Elite SC's. Thoughts on the CT RAD vs. SwampFox Sentinel? I have the CT RAD Micro Pro on my Mete and It's been a good performer, but I wouldn't mind supporting SwampFox and their support for us Vets. Great channel, thanks!
thank you for showing us the canik tp9!! keep up the great work!!
My Canik TP9 Elite SC is my favorite carry gun. Love everything about it other than the grip texture. In my opinion, Smith and Wesson has the best grips in the gun world.
I think cz Walther hk do just my o
I love mine! The trigger is the best!
I love Canik. I think they're very underrated.
Good video brother
Thanks for sharing.
I find each red dot to have certain benefits. Holosun has its ACSS Vulcan reticle and the solar power supplement. Trijicon RMR for best durable design. The SRO for one of the largest windows. The Burris, Crimson Trace, and Truglo optics may not have the features of all the others, but they are fine for plinking and target shooting on a budget. The Burris pushes the low end of the cost of the other manufacturers such as Trijicon, Sig Sauer, Holosun, etc.
Thanks for the review. I recently got one, wanted to get the red dot ready version but holster wouldn't support
With the 507k or 407k at the durability, waterproof and price, why would you go with anything else in this size category of optic?
Huge fan of the Tp9sfx
Is this optic easy to sight in? Just ordered one for my TP9. Looking forward to it👍👍
Thinking about purchasing this firearm Thx!
I carry 1 edc love no optic just put a tlr 7 on it love it . Very reliable pistol. When I got it left slide back for 2 days never had a ftf anything!
So I clicked on this video because the thumbnail of the tp9 looks an awfully lot like my HK VP9 SK LE but black they looked eerily identical side-by-side I've never noticed that before
I love my canik tp9sf elite best gun I have.
Thanks as always!

I was a huge Glock fanboy for over 20 years… until I shot Canik!! My goodness can these things shoot well and shoot smoothly! Absolutely the best bang for the buck, hands down. Period. Hard stop.
When Canik comes out with their version of the G43x I will literally wait in lines to buy one (or two).
I would love to see Canik make a version similar to the G43x!! Will it ever happen?
@@corysornson8890 here’s hoping!
Just curious why Glock fans would want a 43x over the Canik Elite SC. They're roughly the same dimensions (if you use the 15 Rd mag that comes with it that had the extended baseplate), you can now by an optics ready version of the 43xbut it still only uses RMSc footprint optics, and I don't believe they sit lower in the slide like the Canik SC's does, allowing easier absolute co-witnessing. The 43x holds ten, while the SC holds 12 and 15 with the factory mags, and If you don't like either baseplate, it comes with a flush baseplate and you still retain the 12 round capacity. The barrels are about the same length, and the Canik SC gives you a rail while the 43x doesn't even offer one. If you prefer a heavier trigger pull (I can see why some do, for safer carry) the 43x has a 6 pd trigger, with the SC having around a 4 pd trigger. The stock sites are better on the SC also, with suppressed level sights and they're angled as well (I've cut my hand though slightly on the front site). The front site also is phosphorus so it glows in the dark, although that's rarely needed. I don't own any Glocks, so I'm honestly just curious what would be better with the 43x, while being higher priced (the Elite SC can be found for under $350 right now, just bought one). Thanks for any feedback.
@@synthesis12 Because the 43X holds 15 rounds (shield mag) and is so much smaller and easier to conceal. Especially with a T1C holster with the extra mag, that’s 30 rounds with ultra concealment. I love Canik more than I love Glock, by far, but no Canik on the market today beats the 43X for EDC concealment. Trust me, when Canik competes against it, I will literally wait in line to buy it.

Hey nice videos
I love this gun. It's like they took a Walther PPQ Q5 Match and shrunk it down (at least every dimension except width). In fact, I was going to get the Walther PPQ SC, but that gun isn't cut for a red dot, and I gotta have my red dot.
Walther just came out with the PDP. It is optic ready. Haven’t shot it, but picked one up at my LGS - grip and balance are amazing, as you would expect from Walther.
@@tnsquire3195 Yeah, I bet I'd love the PDP. I'll have to try it out. If I like it more than the Canik, maybe I'll do a trade-in or something.
@@theroguetomato5362 I know I am late to this conversation, I too was comparing these two weapons and the Canik won out. I have a Walther PPS, and love the weapon, but I wanted something a bit more robust, hence the consideration, my heart said PDP, but my head (and Mr. Budget) said Canik. So I went Canik, who knows if my new job works out well, I could go back and getthe Walther.

My TP9SC is black with a bronze slide. Running Sig RomeoZero optic, which cowitnesses perfectly. Also upgraded to a Taylor Freelance blackstrap. The backstrap lowers the center of gravity to make it less top heavy (it’s brass powder coated black) and it is a bit extended, which helps with the tendency to dig into the heel of your hand.
Love all my Caniks, out of the box better than all my Glocks ended up selling most of my Glocks except my g20 and g29
I put the Ct 1550 on my Canik tp9sc, but it seems like the red dot floats and when trying to adjust it down it really don't move
