I'm on the aged pension. I do mini challenges, and I now have put aside enough for my next car service and nearly there with my car rego. So whatever is left in the budget, goes on the cash challenges then to sinking funds. This is working well for me. So all the best for you and the kids. ❤❤❤

Hey Rhe. What a massive but positive decision you have made. I'm sure it will work out for you in time and be happy. Definitely use dividers in your waller to make it easy and have emergency $20-30 for fuel, get you home money

Hey Rosemarie. Thank you so so much for always being awesome and kind to me. I know my decision has positives and negatives but I already feel so much more relaxed and I feel like I can focus more on the kids and future goals now. 🙏🙏❤️❤️😊

I made dividers for my purse out of blank cards but old Xmas or birthday cards would work too

Using old cards is a great idea. I printed a simple design and laminated them. I have been using them for about a week and really like the idea.

You can do tab dividers for your categories In The wallet you found and also keep a small coin purse. I also found an emergency transport (fuel) and emergency food envelope handy. In this you put an extra $5 or $10 aside for emergencies only when you get that bill that can make or break you till you get the chance to get funds up. I’m on a Centrelink payment and this is how I put that aside.
I also try to save as many of the coins as possible trying to not use them and those go into savings challenges. I can usually get the $50 one done in about 6wks to 2mths depending. Then with things like roll the dice I reuse the coins for that to the value of $40 or whatever I can afford if it doesn’t go over I transfer that left over amount to another challenge to save.
Those gold coins just rotate through those games.
I’ve had a sick cat so starting again.
Was a single parent 6 kids 5 lived with me.
It’s challenging especially when they have disabilities and hyperactive disorders. I always found it easier than in a relationship with not much support and misery.
Planning ahead helps with everything especially clothes and school, birthdays and holidays. I had loans for a car and any extra funds I received went straight to it paying it off quickly. The trick is to get creative and recycle /reuse everything. Kids only need good clothes to go out. Hand me downs are great repurpose reuse everything. Frugal all the way. People don’t realise it but it’s actually an environmentally conscious act to do and so simple. You don’t need expensive everything just imagination and good printer and what ever you have around you.
In time it gets easier especially as the little ones grow more and become more independent.
    Have a great day rhe

Hi there, I am a mum of two in Australia who became a single mum 2 1/2 years ago. Absolutely get into the Centrelink single parenting game. Also look into a of their other subsidies to help supplement that as well. It’s a rad road by it’s not impossible, you’ve got this. You have a huge budgeting family behind you boosting you up.

Thank you so much Amy. I appreciate your kindness and advice. I applied for centrelink and waiting now. I was also told by the family worker that medicine and registration will also be discounted once centrelink approves me. That would be a huge help. 🙏🙏❤️❤️😊

Thank you so much Sue. It was such a difficult decision to make and only time will tell if it was a good one. Reality is hard and social media in alot of cases makes it looks so easy and happy but it really isn't. We put on these faces and hat to look happy and collected but inside we are struggling. I figured that to be real with myself I need to be real with the world. I appreciate your love and kindness and support always 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️

Hey my friend! Hope everything works out with the mortgage/sell of your home. I know it’s not going to be easy but you need to stay strong and positive for your children. Keep moving forward. I really like the saving challenge book and how your making it work for you. Great savings! Oh yes dividers is a great idea that way you don’t used your cards and use cash. Hopefully that will help you stay within budget. Great video 💖 35:27

New subscriber!! Your peace is so important. It makes you a better person and a better mother. I had to divorce my husband because I needed to be happy and peaceful. He abandoned me and my kids, so I filed and haven’t looked back. It’s been hard financially, but I try my best to consistently save whatever I can, and make debt payments consistently. You can do it! You will be ok. Thank you for sharing. ❤😊

I rely alot on hope and i really hope the difficulties will pass. My priority is always health and safety and as long as we have those we can do anything really. Thanks again for your support ❤️❤️🙏🙏😊

Good on you for being brave enough to make a very tough decision, especially when you know that it would impact your other relationships as well.
I completely know what you mean, when I left my first husband someone asked me if I was ok and all I could say was "I feel like I can breathe again". Centrelink should backdate any payments to your claim date so when it finally goes through hopefully you get some extra in the first payment, I hope they don't take too long to process it for you.
Loved the mini challenges! They are a great way to put aside some extra money. I wish I had of found cash stuffing when I was a single mum, I feel like it would have really helped me. All the best lovely xx

I honestly don't hate him and he didn't hurt me or anything like that but our priorities were in different places. He likes to please other people and meet culture expectations, I am want to focus on my kids and home and making other people happy is not that important to me. My family took his side because they say he is right. It might be right for him but not for me. It's sad when people we thought loved us leave us because they have different opinions. I even lost friends and right now it's just me and the kids. And with all that I still feel lighter and feel less pressure. 🫠🙃 thanks for supporting me ❤️❤️🙏🙏
