When you do get a concession card, with your car registration, you only have to pay your green slip and pink slip. The government pays the registration fee. But double check online what other discounts you can receive, maybe a discount on your electricity, maybe your council rates, I am not sure what is available, so check it out online and you can find out if you can benefit from anything else💝. Hi there, I am a mum of two in Australia who became a single mum 2 1/2 years ago. Absolutely get into the Centrelink single parenting game. Also look into a of their other subsidies to help supplement that as well. It’s a rad road by it’s not impossible, you’ve got this. You have a huge budgeting family behind you boosting you up.

I'm on the aged pension. I do mini challenges, and I now have put aside enough for my next car service and nearly there with my car rego. So whatever is left in the budget, goes on the cash challenges then to sinking funds. This is working well for me. So all the best for you and the kids. ❤❤❤

Thank you for sharing the big details. They are enough for social media. I know many people who only use envelopes with a back up card that is only for a true emergency. I love the wallet idea for you as you embark on your new chapter in life. I suggest dedicated savings categories for "extra" groceries and fuel as a dedicated buffer. The other buffer categories you have used before are quite generic as they should be. They could reduce budget stresses with inflation until a monthly adjustmentcould be made. The free Every Dollar app helped me tighten my spending when I was working on getting out of debt and staying on budget.
