My friend has diabetes, he also has low Blood Pressure. But he won't take any medications. Will he be alright ? He frequently loses his consciousness and tells me his dr only told him to take care of his diet.

Do you use Lantus as your long acting insulin, Rob? Also, do you split the dose or only take it once a day?

Hi Cheryl. Lantus is my long acting and yes, I split it. 6 am and 6 pm still working things out a bit with that but its a lesson every day with diabetes i guess.

Thanks, Rob. I've been a T1 diabetic for 33 years. Been on a pump for nearly 10 years and going back onto MDI so trying to work out how to do my Lantus. Day 2 so far and getting there slowly 😀

Your disappointment in Siri and your "power tool fart" was hilarious! In all seriousness though, thank you for filming while working at a jobsite. I hope your client and fellow contractors don't get upset at the RUclips work you're doing though. I mean, one pays the bills, and the other is for teaching the world. Appreciate it though!

I would like a video on how to deal with friends. I had a friend who was diabetic at work and whenever I tried to be interested in his health he would complain I was prying. I wouldn't care as much if he hadn't had like 4 attacks at work because he didn't manage properly.

Good call Ross. I've had a friend who ran from help also. It's hard to manage when someone feels intimidated by your assistance. i'd try being very clear that you are not bossing but that you just care for them as a mate. let them know that you are only trying to help from a position of friendship.
It can feel like you are an item of discussion rather than a person if the subject of your diabetes management is brought up in random chat.
      Good luck.
