I had fun doing this. Hopefully, you all enjoyed it as well. Want to see more? Let me know. I'll make adjustments to my "troll" rating to include skill/tech issues.
Do This Again With Blue Archive
While I know you keep your audience in mind, doesn't hurt to make content just because you wanted too. You'll find your balance at some point again.
would be interesting to hear your opinions on reviews of 1-3 star operators, or just hear you review all them yourself
Now review Blue Archive and NIKKE
Nikke next
"Welcome to my video, this is Eckogen, presenting you the low star all star reviews of Arknights"
Haaaah missed opportunity
The reason I like AK is that you only pull for the operators. And the operators can be used as is. With other gatchas you need to pull for the character, pull for the equipment and pull for the accessories. Some even use dupes to unlock the level of a character. For AK you just need one copy, that's it.
Yeah, for example honkai, PGR, and Azur lane
Yeah i really like how simple it is too. For as much as I love honkai, I despise the weapon/gear banners since their pretty much essential if you want a character to be usable.
@@mykuronekocantbethiscute you can SS your PGR character pretty easy, it just takes time. Unless you want to be competitive, you don’t need SSS+
@@mykuronekocantbethiscute Azur lane is very f2p friendly tho, you can easily accumulate pulls and there's no gachas except ships themselves. Equipment comes as you farm stages and from event shops. Bulins(which are used instead of another copy of this ship) are plenty even for upgrading a UR, because there's only 1 UR ship something like every 3 months.
@@sirchaotic1212 i say about how easy to obtain the highest rarity.
I cannot believe that there are players who blame the game for being too time consuming because they think players actually have to find a RUclips video to clear stages. Like, I am totally speechless, they don't even consider that it might be just them, they think as if it is a general thing. And just when you think it couldn't go worse, someone ranted being stuck at 2-3 for 2 or more months ... O M G is that even actually possible? Guy is literally doing the impossible.
I think the person stuck on 2-3 cant clear it because they simply do not build their charaxters
I seriously cant believe someone can be stuck on any stage on 2nd chapter except the boss
Did he even try lmfaoo
@@kyarumomochi5146 looking at my last auto deploy on ch 2 boss stage with full squad, low rarity
yes, the problem can be solved just by leveling. hell even you can clear using limited ops if you played IS long enough XD
I think because he didn't know what his units can do or how to play the game properly.
@@guardiangusti9808 probably stuck in the mindset of: not 6 stars = garbage. Which is understandable because most gachas only have lower rank units to dilute the pool and are stingy with resources on top of that.
"Basically only low DP units are allowed cause enemies spawn in quickly, not allowing time for points to build up."
vanguards (especially pioneers and flagbearers): "Tf is he on about?"
Myrtle says it's time to shine little apple!
I feel it's that stage that introduces 2 lanes where you need 2 cheap operators to open and I think a low e or mastery myrtle would leak too
@@ducky9446 Pioneer and charger vanguards exist and cheap enough though.
"why daf%ck i can't deploy my Mudrock and Dusk, just instantly? this game isn't having any balance! here, take your 1* rating!"
Meanwhile, somewhere in Rhodes landship: sad Myrtle drinks with Durin and Plume
@@dindapriska brawler type guard are below 10 DP tho. Fast redeploy Like Jaye is only cost 5 DP!!!! Laugh in Jackie and Beehunter.
And also New Archtype vanguard Agent is also low DP cost.

Good game
Good characters
Cons:
First stage is easy, stage 2 takes X days to finish
Gacha is worse
Everything is hard now
Not enough prem currency that is free
Won't clear stage without specific characters
Mixed/Others:
Play Genshin has better gacha (hi laurent)
Characters are sexualized
Memory to bug my phone can't handle it
Some are funny others cringe but its amusing all the way
to be fair, memory is big enough that I ended up having to choose between playing Arknights or playing the other games I had on my phone, and delete whichever one I decided against.
To be honest genshin is always better
@@Uohhhh777 lol,
Meanwhile, me , a f2p with almost 300 pulls saved, KEK
Characters are sexualized are the best way to know that the one writing the review is filled with soy, nothing in anime and anime type games nowadays can have the least bit of sexyness or they would act as if they were persoanally attacked , lmao
I actually like how Arknights handles it's pull. It feels very fair. I frequently get 6 star from single pulls all the time. Couple that with the 100% 5/6 star operator for the first 10 is pretty solid.
Tbf, the 6 star rate is 2 percent. I think you're just lucky mate on getting 6 stars in single pulls. The guarantee after 50 pulls is great tho.
@@ammarshamsul1217 2% for the highest rarity in a game that is already pretty F2P is actually very good gacha rates. The pity is amazing, but I wish they added a feature similar to Genshin where if you lose the 1st 50/50, you're guaranteed one of the rate ups on the second. I recently wasted nearly everything I had for Gavialter, and I did get like 4 6 stars in 120 pulls, which was quite a pleasant surprise, but out of those 4, only 1 of them was a Rate Up and it wasn't Gavialter.
@@beyondlost660 i have a p5 pozy :’)
@@ammarshamsul1217 2 percent is preeetty fucking good when you count the fact that most 6 stars are great, and that you only really need one copy of them to get most of their potential. The 5 dupes you need to max them out do a decent bit of work, but nothing like some Gacha games where the dupes make your character godlike in comparison to their base form xD.
@@beyondlost660yeah... but let's be real, the 6 star you want is behind a 35% chance of a 2% chance so no, honestly the gacha it's mid (which is still better than most)
that guy stuck at 2-3 is truly the definition of skill issue. I tested, 2* squad + Hibiscus are enough to clear 🗿
My guy, I think he don’t lvl up his ops not skills either. But the most disappointing thing is “2 months”. Took me 2 weeks to try and beat Both Patriot & Talulah.
I think he didn't read the tutorial about the roadblock
@@Archangels_righthandboi tbh... It took me longer to be able to defeat Frostnova than Talulah and Patriot...
@@ChaosMind10531 Frostnova was isn’t a difficult boss but, it’s her random ice shards she smashes down that makes her tricky. I agree but took me 2 (almost) straight days just to understand her movement and attack pattern
@@Archangels_righthandboi that's what fcked me up... Believe me I got traumatized... I had to put doing that stage for months... I was able to pass one practice run... Then I think the ai got pissed and kept dropping them shards to either where my ops are or where I will be placing them...
In the end... I got through the stage... And instead of feeling 100% sad about Frostnova's fate... I was a lil bit happy and relieved that b*tch was done... Still cried though... Now where did I place those spicy candies...
i remember starting the game and genuinely asking myself "am i just too fucking dumb for this game?"
it's deceptively simple and feels like it should be easier than it is to a new player, it's just something you gotta get through
Yeah, you have to pay attention at the beginning, which is something both I and some the 1* reviewers neglected to do. In my case I had been playing for more than two weeks before I realised vanguards were a thing.
.. I paid better attention after that.
That's the thing with many games. The early-game is difficult because players don't know their characters and mechanics, and don't know who they should use or build. The midgame is fairly simple once you understand how you want to play. The late-game is difficult, because it's fucking Arknights. SN-S stages or LE-EX-7 CM aren't easy at all.
@@siraaron8650 lets not forget WD ex cuz omg the fart guy is so freaking annoying
@@RuiFanTier Man really said fart guy bro 💀
15:12 I think what he meant about the pulls is that, if you want to go through all characters in a 10-pull to see their full art it takes too much time(ngl most of the operators do talk a lot in their introductions), or even just the single pulls since can't actually skip them.
Catapult, man...
Yeah, honestly. It's so bad with Recruitment that it seems like the game is specifically trying to punish you for making free pulls. Individual skip buttons for both Rr and Hh when?
Ahh, that makes sense.
@@sayospecter6731 that's why i don't pick sniper or AOE in Recruitment.
It's Catapult.

I kinda understand the "Memory too big" complaints, though, and it's not about download time. I've got an older smartphone and every other update I had to decide between Arknights or what other apps I had on my phone. Luckily, this past month I ended up buying a microSD card and my phone let me put most of Arknights on it (at the cost of making it load more slowly).
Modern phones have hundreds of gigabytes of memory, I can see the problem with older phones, but you can't focus on older phones forever, especially when new games come with larger and larger sizes, and you want to compete.
@@zomfgroflmao1337 compete in what? This could be fixed with better optimization
I see this issue with other games like azur lane, nearing 10gb right now. And thats likely full of shit l dont need ie assets from old events or characters l dont possess.
Its wierd, l like fgo approach where you only download whats relevant to you. No reason to have chapter 10 assets if am still at chapter 1 lol
@@alispeed5095 The way I see it (as someone who struggles with space) is that it's better to have all events and chapters available from the start. That way you won't get fucked over when advancing and suddenly noticing that you can't play anymore because that initial download wasn't all. Also, slow internet connection (2Mbps, and they are unstable) so it makes me happy to have everything in one download and then I can play normally the game. Have been playing the game for nearly two years and sometimes had to reinstall it to reduce the total space taken, but I like the game a lot.
Also, it would be weird to not have the data of older events available because you are able to enter any older event whenever you want, that's the reason we have always that data.
The hardest thing to do as newbie for me was:
Reading tons of text after every tutorial and main story at chapter 0 until 1.
And gathering materials from scratch.
And ofcourse gacha luck issue.
Just today i reached lv 100, would rate Arknight as 4.8/5.0
I've been playing since 2020, and never read anything.
I'm at 102, and I've been playing ever since March 16, 2020. I level up slow, but I'm experienced enough to at least reach 9 or 10 in CC. And have a decent amount of E2. I also did the same thing with chapter 0-4, random spot, or wherever the enemy spawned. Good old times. Now, I just build character based on Ansel harem. Right now, I have Reed, Ch'en, and Earthspirit for Ansel harem.
@@briantmiranda9786 Ansel harem lol. Mind telling me the criteria for that?
@dindapriska Just for the fun of it. Making a fan story of Ansel harem. Since there is much of him. And is entertaining.
@@dindapriska Well, the jobs, age, and how would their personality be well fit to be in his harem.
Stage 2-3 is that one 'red' level where you have to deal with placing boxes quickly, Logger and Heavy Defenders coming from the bottom lane, and dogs coming from the top lane, and crossbowmen. If you don't have (1) a good vanguard to start out the level and (2) good arts damage to take care of the defenders, (3) a basic understanding of deployment order to keep your healer and caster alive, and (4) a decent defensive unit to handle the Logger, then you'll struggle a bit. At least until you overlevel your units. Honestly, recommended level is E0 level 30
Yeah, but not to the point where you are stuck for months.
What I don't really get is why they did just look up a guide if it took months?...
I let both of my daughters try the game once, age gap is 10 and 8 and my oldest manage to reached all the way to 5-10 where she complained that its hard because of the "sniper" killing her units too fast while my youngest reached 4-4 and got stuck on that map. Not trying to brag or some shit but could not comprehend as to how some of these people complaining couldn't complete early stages or get stuck even for months. (Which you just know a lie since I am quite sure no one would keep playing the same map over and over just to fail for MONTHS.)
@Mii Rico let be real here, some people probably pay them to give 1* reviews to make the game less popular than it should
@@skywalkerjohn8965 Ohh right forgot to factor in bought reviews.

Thank you for this content, Ecko! I hope you're feeling well!
Love this new way of making content, keep up the great work Ecko!
I just hope no one do 1star review after this just for hoping ecko read theirs xD
Genshin's 5 star rate is 0.6% btw 💀. Genshin's only good thing in it's gacha is it does guarantee a 5 star rate up at some point.
I play both and i will say for beginners and f2p perpective arknights is far more gratifying, as in genshin getting primogems is like searching for scraps and hitting pity is really the only way to get a five star. I could get 3 6 star ops in arknights and still not hqve enough for pity in genshin
Guarantee QiQi at some point
@@timothytobing7212 Arknights is arguably less f2p friendly than Genshin.
Meta wise, 6 stars in Arknights often blow away lower rarity counterparts in terms of power while 5 stars in Genshin are often sidegrades or even worse than their counterparts (i.e. Yelan = Xingqiu.) A low rarity Abyss clear in Genshin is hardly going to feel different than one with premium units, while in Arknights the difference between a Tequila and a Mlynar are quite apparent.
Pull wise while Arknights may have a slightly higher rate, you have to keep in mind that this is ultimately still luck based and there is no way to guarantee who you want, unless you save 300 on limiteds or wait many months for them to be available via gold certs. I've seen people take nearly 300 pulls to get the featured rate up they want in limiteds, and recently I had the misfortune as well of needing to hard pity 3 times in a row for the 6 stars I had in the Gavial banner, only to get Gavial pots and Aak instead of the Pozy I wanted.
Genshin pulls exchange a little luck for more safety. You also don't have featured banners which have multiple rate up ops to dilute the pool. In Genshin every update will have 2 rate ups, with each being separated into their own banner so you can guarantee who you want.
@@miltaire3235 I mean if you have fun it doesn’t matter right?
@@solaris4105 I mean that's the case for every game lol. I'm just saying Arknights isn't more F2P friendly, not that it's impossible to enjoy. I probably play more Arknights than Genshin these days too.
this was fun to watch, the other day I was also checking those reviews and there are some just very very unfair opinions like "I cleared the entire game in 3 days, and there isn't much to do", but nice to know that even for 1 star reviews most of them are just "technical issues" which proves arknights as a game is top tier

Well, those comments about the game being hard are understandable: there are a lot of much more "mindless" games (for example, with 3-in-row as a main mechanic), in which you will beat a stage eventually only because of RNG - compared to tower defense as a whole and Arknights in particular. In TDs you're forced to think, retry with different strats, sometimes completely rebuild squads, especially for new story chapters or events, etc. But rate the game with 1 star only for that?..
I get it. If this isn't the game you're looking for and you're frustrated, rating it 1* because it wasn't what you want makes sense. And the review is at least helpful to those who are looking for those junk time wasters instead of an actually good game.
Arknights litterally hardly gets hard until you reach chapter 3
You can litterally just deploy random ops to beat first 2 chapter lmfao
@@kyarumomochi5146 Never underestimate how random can be that random placements... Wrong ops, on wrong tiles, in wrong directions, "why can't I use Orchid to block enemies, game says she has block 1", etc.
Some people play games to relax, if am off work, l want a relaxing exp not some shit that demands high investment of brain cells.
Likely these people are in this boat. It happens, for instance, though pgr is a good game, l hate it coz its too gamey, l want my mobile games to be relaxing but pgr is like devil may cry lol. I have my pc gaming sessions for that!
A positive can become a negative if seen through a certain lens
@@alispeed5095 I totally understand this position, but game description doesn't say anywhere that Arknights is relaxing, easy game. If you imagined that Arknights is a cakewalk type of game (based on some statements from game description, graphics style, or something else) - that's, unfortunately, your fault. And it doesn't make the game bad, it doesn't even make description wrong, so there is no valid reason to give a low rating based only on that. Sure, you can say that chapter 1 is noticeably harder than chapter 0, or maybe even say that chapter 2 is unbeatable - but it's only from your perspective of a player who selected a wrong game, a game that does not fit requirements ("to be relaxing" in this case).
It's like if you'd like to pick some calm music to play when going to sleep, accidentally choose a heavy metal album, and leave a review that it sounds too harsh for your use case.
This is what I tried to say in the original comment: unmet expectations are not a valid reason for bad review (at least not until those expectations are based only on the provided descriptions and not some obscure personal desires).
Worth noting that the Kingdom Rush series of TD games is also really good, but it's more of a traditional tower defense than being a strategy/RPG hybrid like Arknights
For those who complaining about gacha rate, remember there is a game call FGO.
Sincerely
Arknights & Fgo player
heh..that one is hell
Don't wanna remember about that one... saving for one year to only get dust, *shudders*
Yeah the rate for 5 star in fgo is 0.006%
A nicely done thing with excellent counterpoints! I would love to see more. ... like once every other week, maybe? Not sure what a good frequency would be.
Yo Ecko! Do your best to get your Ideal City EX guides out fast - Kyo is gonna be slow to get guides out due to exams so it's a good chance to claw up some algo points
Thanks for the heads up lol.
I feel smarter after watch and read those comments lol, Thank you for making this video, Ecko!
Worth kek moment.
When i first started, i was reluctant to upgrade characters in fear of find the wrong ones and painting myself in a corner. So early on it was getting tough with L1 ops. Once i got over that, it's been great
That was really fun, more of this please!!
Talking about gacha results I got my first 6 months like hell, I only get 5 different 6 star until bagpipe banner but damn, that gets me fired up since you don't need any of those high rarity to beat the early stages and you can always borrow silverash from anyone
For the people who find this game too difficult. This game gets easier the moment that you’re willing to do anything to adapt your strategies to meet a few requirements that the stage needs you to fulfill. I.e. If you’re the type of person who wants to use a comp full of nothing but the most expensive dp cost units like dusk, ifirit, chen alter, w, etc. use no vanguards at all to generate dp, and/or use Angelina’s global healing passive as the only source of healing for every stage you play, expect a lot of frustration. Main point is this game is not a 1 team comp rules all game. You need to be willing to allow flexibility for change within your team comp setup sooner or later. Don’t expect to win every stage in this game with the use of only solo Thorns, surtr, (insert big meta/meme op). Some stages absolutely won’t allow you to use the land tiles that are needed in order to deploy them.
Remember team comp flexibility is key.
This is literally the reason I watch guides. Not for a perfect copy of a strat but for inspiration, ideas and the once-in-a-while "oooooh that was REALLY smart" (or the not so once-in-a-while "wait.. is that a pit? I DID NOT REALISE!"). I love watching guides and changing my strat based on what the video does. I mean, even the comment sectiion is often ripe with clever alternatives
I barely see those giving star thing review in playstore, its fun to see it with commentary, nice video.
Inb4 watching the video, I bet most of these are Skill Issue based reviews. Yeah I get that the game can be hard, but that is more of you problem than the game lol.
Thanks for the content Ecko.
I been playing Arknight since launch and when people say the early stage are too hard is just bs. I never watch any guild video for majority of the game and I was not even familiar with the game mechanics like range enemy attack the last developed Operator and all sub-classes like AOE caster, long single block guard and stuff like that. Is until when I reach the patriot fight where I started to watch video guild and learned more about the game mechanics.
As for the gotcha part, my friend just tell me I have insane luck cause I have a lot of 6-stars and haven’t spent a single penny casue is so F2P, like they give you a 5 stars for free on every single event, and sometimes I found some stage using a lower rarity Operator is much easier due to the low DP cost and cheap level up.
As for 2-3 is too difficult. It is a stage where they introduce blockades blocks and start mixing enemies defenders with high physical def. The thing is that, before 2-3, there was s2-2, s2-3 and s2-4 to teach you all of that, 2-3 is just a test to see if the player understands the mechanics.
Overall, I think people that give 1 star saying the stage is too hard or no 6-star bad gotcha rate. They need to first go to RUclips and watch ANY video that is titled low rarity guide and second they need to lose the mindset that Arknight is not a game where 6-star is a must for majority of the game, even sometimes low rarity can do better than the 6 stars
Sorry for the rant, had great time watching this lol
Yeah, new mode in your videos, quite refreshing to be honest. Looking forward to more videos👍👍
Meanwhile Vifer with his infamous failing at a tutorial twice in a row
The only thing I wish Arknights have like in other games (like Genshin, GBF, FGO, etc that have stamina system), is there's a week or couple days of reduced stamina for grinding material for Chip/LMD/Red Coupons/Event Stages (or whatever on that senses)
But I don't know seeing that in the perspective of game dev and or player for a game like this, is it counted as needed, necessary, or not. Because in the end of the day, I just play this game for fun and sometimes or not, waifu.
That's just my two cents though
But I do think that Arknight should add in stage for sub-classes, to introduce new player that what different sub-class do and give them an idea so they don’t get confused on why their single-block guard not block 2 enemies or why their flag-vanguard suddenly let the enemy go through them.
The earlier stages has been updated somewhat recently to explain in detail what block count is, the basic roles of vanguards-snipers-casters-aoe casters-defenders-guards-medics and such, deployment priority, they even churn in stuff like plume gives you DP upon skill while Fang gives DP over time, cuora' skill makes her DEF goes up so she won't die to elite enemies, melantha is only block 1 but very high ATK so she's good at helidrop to kill enemy casters (yes they teach you to helidrop), etc;
The operator skills are explained pretty well in their description and they even have built-in paradox that gives orundum so you can learn to optimize your units. Plenty of powerful units even at E1 to help you catch up to the new stages that you can borrow (Mountain, Blaze, La Pluma, Gavialter, Eyja, Mudrock, Spalter, etc) Pretty well built system to ease you in, unless reading issues.
@@lllllShjnllll I think, most of the time is reading issues, LOL.
they do explain it in the beginning about the block thing maybe some players just strait up skip it
@@thestranger0347 But well some times even you read, you don't even understand what you read, like some tutorial mechanic when new map / event comes out.
@@hasyidanparamananda I mean, they give us 30 practice plan everyday to try the new mechanic. That's how we've been doing, especially for CC, try and try :/
Fun thing to watch along while doing dailies on my 2nd account.
Was expecting the 1* reviews to say stuff about the rough early game grind (which was the reason my friends got turned off to AK sadly) or the overwhelming amount of stuff to do for a newbie from all the content updates (main story, daily resource grind, anni, current event, CC daily, past events/intermezzi, IS2, SSS)
SSS isn't something newbie should prioritize though. For starter, you need to unlock a module to unlock that stage, which requires E2 at decent level (at least 40 to 60, sorted by rarity). Same as CC daily and annihilation, it can be punishing if your account isn't developed yet.
Main story should be prioritized, followed by daily to raise your ops when you're stuck (chips > EXP => books > LMD, at least this is how I do it.). When there's a big event *that's not CC* going on though, prioritize doing that event. The rest, including red certs and building materials daily, aren't mandatory. Only do it when you're bored with the main cycle and wants to do something else.
@@dindapriska Those are good n solid advice for sure but I can imagine its still easy for a newbie that doesnt check community stuff to be overwhelmed a bit once all these different stuff open up.
For me personally, it took a bit of on and off between events before I settled into AK permanently.
@@BiologivalDecember I remember feeling that when I started 9 months ago lmao. Then I thought since the rest of the contents outside currently ongoing events are either stay permanently or aren't important enough to do right away and my account wasn't strong enough to take on contents like CC and annihilation, why bother doing those as soon as possible?
I checked the community not long after I started to check which materials you should farm first to raise and promote your operators since that confused me more than other contents.
Nice vid, Eck. I respect you trying to branch out, RUclips doesn't respect their creators so everyone's got to try new things once in a while. Hope to see some more non-guide content from you.
1* reviews are easily the most fun kind of reviews to read.
Ayo, new type of content let's go!
I would love to have skip ticket option for normal stages like we have now in annihilation for faster farming.
Tbh, I prefer auto battle like It repeats the stage for certain amount of sanity, It's already applied to Alchemy Stars and Neural Cloud, and the chance of Fail is still there.
You should do more content like this, it was so funny lmao
just looked at 2-3, holy god its literally nothing, just now I used rangers , durin, 12F, Lancet, Fang and Beagle with my grand strategy being "put fang out to block while placing blocks, then deploy everyone else in the last line of ranged tiles followed by beagle, then retreat fang". no skill activations other than Fang. I unfortunately cant de-level fang and beagle but I can't imagine needing anything higher than E0 30 for this to work with a timed skill activation from beagle at the end+ maybe a 2nd blocker unit behind beagle.
this would've been a fun livestream
Love this type of video!
It's gonna be really fun, imma watch it rn
Ooh this’ll be fun
Thx for the video!
I know why he got stuck at 2-3, I was stuck there too for a while. I assume(like me) he presumed that you're only allowed to place 2 blocking blocks on the 2 recommended tiles you see at the start. I didn't figure it out myself, a friend I know who has played the game for a while told me you can place more than those 2 blocks, the level is absolutely brutal if you place only those 2 recommended blocks on the tiles suggested. But, I am someone who (if stuck for too long) will resort to looking up guides etc, also why I watch your videos :D
(edit: btw I'm a new player, only been in the game for 2 weeks now)
that has to be it, i returned to that level after promoting some ops and my auto deploy was fkd so i had to do a new one. my first reattempt failed and i was baffled until i realized i just misplaced my blocks. It was just a brain fart. Id be pissed too if i had a brain fart for two months straight. I have no clue why the game recommends a spot that is just bad. But like that just falls back on to actually using your brain or finding a guide. 2 months...i just dont get it, its been a month with some change and im at lvl 50..preparing to e2 my Silver Ash and Archetto both whom i pulled on my first day..its really hard to take some of those reviews seriously. Even though i didnt pull GaviAlt or Pozy this banner im still satisfied with how things have turned out im f2p i cant expect every thing to go my way lol
"Wahhh i have two 6* and I don't like them!"
Don't build them then 👍
The first one that I can see that was actually worth a 1*, is the one that got disconnected from their Facebook when they deleted Facebook, which I didn't understand how it could happen and it's more of a bug I think. Side rant... Genshin has literally less rewards for the amount of time you put into the in-game events. 8 (Big events are at least 1440 primos if I remember)pulls maximum with upgrade materials that can barely level any skill vs the 10 pulls (estimated a minimum of 8 stages normal, 16 for ex mode)we get from events plus tons of upgrade materials minimum.
Oh this is interesting lol It's so funny reading the 1 star review lol some of them are so ridiculous 🤣
Those who are disappointed by the gacha rates surely expected to get the rate up character after less than 1 multi pull or few tickets.
"wdym i cant get 69420 six stars in one ten pull??? terrible game 0/10"
- them probably
Spooks r what hurts most
I do get a little annoyed at people who give one star reviews when they probably know that the game isn't objectively bad xD.
The one star reviews in a nutshell: *_Skill Issue and/or device issue_*_ 🤣_
Device issue is understandable.
Skill issue is unacceptable.
I’ve gone through a bunch of one star reviews trying to find a new gotcha to play. And most of the time it’s either a tech problems or someone leaving a bad review because they think a different game is better this doesn’t go for just arknights either.
Have had issues with updates via Google play, but I usualy just wait or uninstall and download it again.
Dev: release mv, make new mechanic, balancing stage, hiring artists, finding bug in codes.
1* reviewer: Real.
We need more Live Eckogen Reaction memes
closures shop music is still one of my favourite in the game
End game : "there's no way to get more originite prime once you beat all the challenge and event modes without paying any money. I wish arknights could give us 1 or 2 originite prime just for completing all the weekly quests."
I'd wish for that to happen lmao.
Events? It gives like 40
Black screen happens on mobile as well and it's usually an OBB issue
I recently started having an issue, myself, where the game gets stuck in trying to boot up. Only happens while connected to my wifi, and I can solve it with VPN, but it's still annoying.
Honestly not sure how it can be resolved, since I'd had the wifi for weeks prior to this starting. Can only hope it'll resolve on its own, or I'll find a genuine solution. But i can still play the game, so I'm still fine.
Dunno where that person calling AK predatory got those figures. You can get enough for a ten-pull every two weeks if you do all dailies, weeklies and fully farm Annihilations (assuming you've increased the cap to 1800). If they're ignoring Annihilations, then they're ignoring one of their main sources of Orundum.
I feel conflicted about how much I kinda enjoy SSS, on one hand it's easy to see how frustrating it is to play... but at the same time I am actually having fun trying to get the secret medals(already got the one for Iron Carrot Mines, Toron Mines is hell with stage7 xD) even if I've already got the cap rewards for the current cycle.
at 25:00 im not actually sure what they cencored either RECENTLY, but in the past they have changed Platinum's JP va
The one who said that she was stuck on flipping 2-3 of all stages baffles me the most , that was a true wtf moment for me 🤔 . I am convinced that especially the one that was apparently stuck on 2-3, (which is a roadblock stage where the game literally tells you where to put them, and the enemies don't really do much damage, even the logger can be healed off by Hibiscus.) are genuinely low IQ, did not even play the game for 20 minutes and quit, or are just review bombing it for the sake of like Genshin. Lol like everyone else, I beat that stage 1st try (or a few tries) of brute force, if she was really stuck on 2-3 for 2 months, it's safe to say that she was not ever playing or even trying at all or is stri\aight up lying 🤣.
Arknights is really the only gacha game that I have consistently played for 3 years because of how the company imo ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT ITS PLAYBASE AND DOES NOT JUST SEE THEM AS JUST ATMS (cough cough Genshin, Illusion Connect (rip, just learned that it got booted last December), Marvel Strike Force (flip that game especially), etc.) Of course, this is all business, but even real-life business people have SOME integrity 🤦♂. There are other good gacha games of course, like Path to Nowhere and Counterside. I can not exclude them out, but it is like a needle in a haystack trying to find ones like them now. Call me biased, but HG and Yostar are nowhere as toxic as most other companies and actually put effort into the game for the satisfaction of their players who are the reason for the game's survival. It is sad to see this game not getting the higher rating that it 100 percent deserves because of bakas like these.
I would love to see more of these because I can roast all these trolls down to the earth's core with their BS excuses 🤦.
yeah, sometimes you really start to question what is the average IQ of human
i do agree. in story mode u don't even need a guide even you got stuck u eventually pass by brute force or just use kyo or eckogen
Ahhh, 2-3....HOW DO YOU EVEN HAVE TROUBLE THERE? There's 2 lanes, one lane if you block the bottom side...
Good said, comrade!
Just one thing - when i was played ~first week, i had some problems on 'training stages' with locked OPs... and also i was tried to clear 'Maria Nearl' event, because cool BGM and art, without any of good trained operators... that was 'kickass experience' xD
Or you know...... They can just guide it. I'm not the smartest in Arknights and when I was newbie if stage getting so hard to the point I'm stuck for a while I resort to guide (I think my first stuck is 3-4). But honestly even without a guide they can just idk man leveling your character so they can brute force it. 1-2 weeks of leveling usually enough for newbies to clear early stage via brute force. If they are stuck for 2 months in very early stage maybe they don't play the game at all lol
Some of these review are just hillarious
"The Game is Quite a BREEZE" - Eckogen 2023
Some people just want games with instant reward, but forget how rewarding it really is to beat a level that feels insane to beat, I don't see these type of reviews with Elden Ring. It's true, I'ts a steep learning curve (maybe you could do a Quick Tips for starters video Eckogen) , but once you get it, the game is really engaging and rewarding.
The complaint 2:14 about AK having bad gacha rates and disrespecting your time is probably in comparison of recent new gacha games, like PTN for example. After trying PTN as my 2nd gacha game and hearing others who play something like alchemy stars, i think it is a fair complaint as grinding daily waiting for autodeploy is pointless when you can sweep for farming like in PTN tho.
I personally still like the autodeploy feature (but wish HG could allow multiple autodeploys at once), but from a new player standpoint i can see where he is coming from.
Autodeploys without sweeps is just a blast from the past that should be done away with, and Arknights obviously are already thinking in that direction given the skip tickets. It is probably a bit harder to implement later (on a psychological and programming scale), but should really be done to keep the game modern.
yes 1 star reviews are sometimes hilarious lmao, oh and also the bgm volume is kinda overlap with your voice, but idk that's probably just me
The only time consuming thing I know in the game is the SSS, but that's entirely optional since they actually sell the module stuff in event shops and given out as rewards.
Also Annihilation, if you need to clear it for the first time.
Also, I've watched a newbie go from struggling in the early main story stages to clearing event stages first try by instinctively throwing everything she got at enemies.
Like she has a handful of E2 operators, she hates Myrtle (so she doesn't have dp most times), and she still beats the stages with her favourite operators often with high costs.
Also, yeah... she got the Surtr brainrot currently.
I started reading these when my brother asked me to download the game on his phone and they are funny and SO simple that its confusing lmao
This was neat. I dig it.
hahaha Hey Ecko can you make more of these? pls
Long form Eckogen?! Is is Christmas again?
TY, I'll grab a snack and enjoy the cursed show
27:34 woah woah woah. Hold your horses.
Kingdom rush is a banger
Never heard of it, but I'll look.
tbh my only problem with arknights atm and the reason why all my friends has already quit the game is that potions expire which forces players to consume them all and then burdened to think of where to optimally use the large amount of sanity, to make matters worst it is very time consuming cause players can only do a stage 1 run at a time (for example 21 sanity stage on 900 sanity: 900/21= 42.9 then multiply by minimum of 5 minutes per run: 42 * 5 = 210 minutes or 3 hours and 30 minutes of just staring at the phone watching the same auto run)
they should provide run multiplier for stages that uses sanity (as a feature or an item obtainable on daily missions) or a skip run item similar to what annihilation has now and can be obtainable on daily missions too
If it keeps redownload the files it only means that you don't have enough storage to extract the resources
On the topic of the difficulty of the game, it really is complicated starting the game knowing nothing of Gacha game (which I was). The learning curve was indeed high and there are stages that you would get stuck on. But, the best advice given for me is saying 5 or 6 stars don't matter and should be build late game. Especially that some 5 stars aren't that better than the 4 star counterpart.
21:06 Sounds like bad timing on his part. If he downloaded the game on the same day he giving the review, in which it coincidence with the Ideal city event that have 6 hrs maintenance and I also remember they updated again to include the voice packs/operator records.
22:47 Internet connection issue does happen to me too (Stuck at certain percentage and can't connect to server). The only solution is to use other internet source (like switch from your Wi-Fi to your mobile data) and have to play for some time before switching back.
27:48 Opinion rejected, sorry Eckogen. Kingdom Rush was the bomb for a flash game.
31:54 Maybe this salty guy is referencing the Exusiai skin coming for CN and JP and he was giving 1 star before the announcement of the skin for EN.
10:50 I agree with this guy. I also bind my account to facebook as 1st, I also binded them to google etc but game doesnt load your account unless you login with your facebook(1st binded one). Its totally understandable issue. I am a returning player and I almost wasnt going to return due to that, took 2 hours to find what I binded my account to.
I'm a brainded dokutah when I first started playing AK and 2-3 got me real good but I eventually just spend 1 second to search and follow a kyo guide for ideas
It's really not hard when someone does the thinking for you (even tho I don't usually use guides now that I've played for a long time and just chalter it lol)

@@Eckogen thanks, been playing this game over a year in and only recently started to actually expand my brain with strats lol
the game is actually hard really, but that could be easily resolved by reading description and observing mechanic lol.
watched some newbie stream, dunno if its their "content" but they really struggle just try to DPS everything
I thought this video was a review on the robots (1 star ops)
Most of those reviews are probably people who don't like how the game lacks any auto farm stacking and you gotta individually do it but it's very enjoyable if you know how to set up a macro that sets it up, i enjoy it though because of the way your character evolves when you promote em and ive been loving it more due to the english voice acting. The Gacha rates are lovely because whenever i get a free 10 pull card i pull a 5 or 6 star straight out which is real enjoyable.
1* because I've missed my Surtr cert shop in November 😭😭😭
When i first started playing this game more than 3 months ago, I also feel like it's super hard(or maybe I'm stupid). But when you manage to beat the stages, the satisfaction is like getting an answer in maths.
Math never lies.
Wow.. Something Fresh content.
This is so fun lmfao
Its mind blowing some people find it difficult on chapter 2, I have niece who played this game past chapter 3. She is around 8 yo and didn't understand English well. I help her upgrade her operators tho.
Letting a kid below 13 yo to play gacha game is quite daring. Do you or her parents monitor her playing?
@@dindapriska she only played on my pc, so its under control.
@@saksakebah300 I see. Is she having fun with the game?
LMFAO! Most of the 1* reviews was literally "I'm so mad cuz I'm so bad". The only frustration I have with Arknights is that I was so unprepared for CCs (Pyrite to WildScales) that I missed out on completing their medals. Now I'm stuck with these ugly unfinished sets. GAH!!!!
bittersweet moment when your self confidence rises but your faith in humanity plummets...great video though
take a like and a sub.
very epic new content
My main complaints for arknights: I wish there was a quick battle for farming stages you can already auto deploy, or at least an auto repeat. Annihilation skip and claim all buttons fixed some of my annoyance.
As far as SSS goes, I think it's pretty okay -- but it's really annoying you don't get all the rewards after completing floors 1-8. It already takes quite a bit of time to do this, so why do I have to do it twice to get everything? This is what makes it a chore. And heck, it's not enough to full upgrade 1 6 star's module.
Another complaint is the difficultly of obtaining limited 6 stars. 300 spark for a limited that is over 2 years old seems a bit ridiculous and new players who like to collect units (collectors would also be potential whales) will hate this.
Other than that I love Arknights. It's one of the only of the games I've played for over a year and don't plan on quitting
Brutally honest opinion: Based on reviews I don't think the game will sit well with people who can't figure out how to place units or strategize (i.e. dumdums) because they are used to powering up units and placing them in a set formation that works for everything like many other gacha games. A game like arknights confuses them (person suck on 2-3 or w/e lol and that other dude who didn't realize the purpose of vanguards) Which to a certain point I get that you want to have games where you just turn your brain off---but that doesn't mean that one that requires strategy like arknights is terrible and deserves 1 star.
And then as usual tons of 1 star reviews are from people who just had technical issues and can't get the game to work
Although I agree with ecko about how Arknights is a better tower defense game than the kingdom rush game series but their work is also quality work and one of the og TD games that got me into this genre if I have to say ak is the best 3d/2.5d fr game while the rush series are the best 2d td game
I think @15:22, he's talking about watching operators animation while pulling for them in single or ten pull and he hates moving through them I guess. Its not like we can skip that
Oh okay.
U can get 20 pulls per month doing annihilation dailies and weekly
Not including event rewards
