As of right now, the majority of the public is not going to pay attention to the women's basketball team. They could have easily taken the attention away from the men's basketball team. Now that's not going to happen. It's a business and they are there to sell a product.
Most won’t watch a game unless there is a reason.. based on the team they have picked? No reason to watch a single game..
I’ll type this slowly so Skip will understand. Caitlin sees the court better than her teammates. The turn overs are a result of her being able to make passes her teammates aren’t expecting because they’ve never played with a guard who can make those passes routinely. Consequently they aren’t looking for passes at those moments ergo turnovers.
When people talk about making your teammates better this is what they are talking about. As much as she has to adjust to a more physical game, her teammates need to adjust to her passing game. It’s dishonest to discuss her turnovers without this context.
Caitlin is using an old hockey skill ( can you tell I’m Canadian?) don’t put the puck where your teammate is put it where they are going, anticipate. It takes time for the player on the receiving end to adjust to an elite passer regardless of the sport.

I love Clark, I never watched the WNBA until this season however letner was on that team Because they had to have one college player on that roster. It was something they wanted during that time, and if Clark was on that team, it would be a version of her we wouldn't wanna see, she would be coming off the bench, and playing cleanup, those teams repping their countries are great and have been playing on their country's teams and pro leagues for years. She's young and she can play on the next 3 to 4 Olympics teams.

I disagree on that. I think CC's by far the best rookie in the league and should be on the Olympic team. That being said, her passes also require a lot of team chemistry/playing experience with each other.

I'm disagreeing with the part of his comment that the turnovers wouldn't happen if she were on the Olympic team. My point was that despite her being a phenomenal passer, receiving/being ready for those passes does require chemistry between teammates. There would still be turnovers on that Olympic team as they wouldn't have been playing together for very long.
As far as the most turnovers in rookie history goes, yep, she does hold that record. A small percentage of that could be blamed on her teammates, but CC does get a little over-aggressive sometimes with those passes. There's still absolutely zero question as to who is the best rookie in the league right now. It's CC, and no one is even close.
They don't have the guts to praise Caitlin without giving an equivalence for Angel. Show should be called Scaredy Cats.

It does when they have a losing record. She can lead in every stat possible, but none of it is credible if there’s no wins. Her having high stats make her look selfish because her TEAM doesn’t win.

Both Clark and Reese should have been on the USA women’s national team and before people say they have to earn it remember, Rebecca Lobo didn’t in 1996, neither did Candace Parker in 2008, neither did Breanna Stewart in 2016.
It wouldn't be fair to put Clark or Reese on the Olympic team based on popularity. Yes they'd bring viewership, but it's unfair to replace players who are better qualified to be there. Just because they aren't as popular doesn't mean they should be overlooked. Everything can't be solely about money.
They were all Lesbian simple as that. Maybe some business men will start a womens league that will be a safe place for female players that are not juiced up on testosterone. A place,where skilled players can succeed. I have not been able to enjoy any game unless the Fever are playing. Slow unexciting prison ball with legalized assault seemingly sanctioned by the women who want to be mens league.

With men's sports, the things most focused on wouldn't be mentioned. Unfortunately the wnba don’t add players based off of potential. At the time, neither Reese nor Clark were qualified other than bringing in more eyeballs. As far as talent, team USA made the right decision. Clark and Reese will have their time! Don’t worry. Boston too, cordoso is getting better as well. The future is bright.
