I did my laundry this morning here in NC, $10.00 washer which is their largest for 2 weeks+ of colored clothes and a small one for whites which i do maybe every month, that was $3.25. Dryers are .25 for 5 minutes
It's been quite a ride, it would be pretty cool if the new owners decided to continue making videos about the little laundromat that could, onward and upward!
If the coin box in the first washer was completely empty, how could the clothes be wet? Were they there when you emptied the box the previous week? That's the only way the coin box could be completely empty.
Observations To start with I’ve been watching your videos from maybe 6 to 9 months now and there is a common theme / observations in all of them. 1. The small laundry location looks like a dump. 1. Flooring looks like it is from the 70’s 2. Echo is bad in there. Personally I wouldn’t want to be sitting in there listening to the loud noise while my laundry finished. 3. What looks like a random placement of the washers looks bad and uninviting. 4. Trim work around the dryers looks like nobody cared how it looked. 1. As somebody else posted a bit ago update or get rid of the car wash. Again looks like something from the ’70’s. And get rid of the vacuum. Both these items are costing you money. 5. If you are going to keep the car wash, you need better signage. I bet nobody coming down the street is going to see that little sign on the side of the building and for sure somebody coming from the opposite side is definitely not going to see it. Need to redo the sign up front advertising both. 6. Looking at the shots when you video what ‘Main Street’ looks like yeah not that many people are going to be coming to the laundromat/ car wash with nothing else to do, looks like your average ‘dead town” 2. The larger laundry location looks bad also, but not as bad as the small one. 1. A few months ago you put up the no parking signs unless your doing laundry. Obviously somebody hit one and it is still bent over and it still hasn’t been repaired. Makes the property start to look bad even before the person gets inside. 2. The random placement of the washers looks bad, makes people search around for what size they want. They should all be grouped by size. 3. If you are not going to fix that ancient soda machine, get rid of it. Again along with all the dead washers and dryers at this location it just makes it look like you don’t care about your location. 4. Don’t see why you need to be paying for multiple people to ‘clean’ these locations 3. You need to watch Investment Joy’s and Following Keaton’s early videos about running a laundromat. 4. Need to be putting more hands on work into these locations then just collecting quarters and complaining about how you are not making decent money.
I'll be watching to see how this goes moving forward :-) I think you're going to miss it even if it's just a little. It's been good content for your channel!
Oh, good idea (your last sentence gave me) for him would be (especially before selling this laundromat) to make a vlog about his properties. This laundromat versus the other one. The pros & cons of both, and how he thinks they could both improve. How he liked doing this laundromat compared to the other one. Incorporate a couple of houses and or commercial properties along with the laundromats. How each type of business compares to the other types of businesses. Etc. That would be a nice vlog for him to do.
@@jasongates- You should comment that to him. He reads comments. Not sure if he reads replies to comments. He has a wealth of knowledge and seems like a nice guy.
Top loaders are easier to service i know i was a repairman at a Laundromat i loved working on the ingils and maytag . if a tranny went was easy to change water pump easy and motors easy thats for inglis maytag the motor wires are color coded so not confusing . the only problem is parts new are hard to find and maytag motors must be maytag . if you can find old top loaders working or not buy them just for the parts a transmission used is about $300 used to be $150 motors used to be $100 now like $250 used .
Awwwww I'm going to miss the little laundromat that could.

Odd that someone left without checking the washer left thier clothes for over a week inside it.
Revenue is on a solid uptrend, signifies you've done very well

Damn just sell it already !!!
Some of the late summer car wash revenue might have been the taxidermy shop getting water. Just a thought. 🤔
Hey Mark 👋🏽 Happy Holidays!

Wow you hit the nail on the head well said. This is the kind of outcome you get when you spend 30 minutes twice a week at your job
Good Luck!
I'm sad😢. But I understand.

I going to miss watching this laundromat once you don't have it anymore
I got to be thumbs up #1 on this one🙃🙂🙃🙂
nice!
You were first real comment to. That silly first spam comment I always have to delete.
Time to sell
Aha, second, hi from New Zealand. You will sell it no problem.

Plz put this mic out to pasture. The noise canceling is doing crazy shit loud low loud low when you open the trays and dump.
People who use the laundromat watch your videos and are messing with you by using the $1 change machine.😊
😢😢😢 Soap machine 0.
Maybe people are getting wise. They can go to walmart and get a big container of soap for that price
The road machine hasn't worked for months lol.
Yeah, negative ROI should bring top dollar.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
No one will buy that, no money.
I bet they will! :>)
