Interesting. I got 2 Pebblebee Clips and one Pebblebee Card today in the post. I did go to the QR code site for the first one, but the second Clip and the Card were done using double-press of the button while the Google Find My Device app was open, and all 3 tags paired immediately without any problems. The first one was a bit weird, I played the sound and it kept playing after I told it to stop - maybe there was some sort of delay. Otherwise it was a smooth setup.
@@IllinoisDailyCarry I wonder if the firmware on your pebblebee was older, or the app was older. I only installed the app a few days ago, and ordered the pebblebees 2 days ago directly from their website.
I bought a couple and I like it so far, but I wanna try the pebble bee app and not the Google find my device.....the Pebble bee app has a lol left behind feature, but every time I try to pair it wants to use find my device instead.
IMHO the Pebblebee Clip is poorly designed and not very rugged. The wall thickness of the eyehole the keyring goes through is approximately 1mm of brittle plastic that will break with moderate use leaving you with no way to attach it to your keyring. Even worse, when it breaks if you lose your Clip in a low traffic area the Google network is so unreliable you'll most likely never find it. Don't ask me how I know this...
@@IllinoisDailyCarry I would expect the cheap spring clip that comes with the Pebblebee Clip to break but not the case of the device itself. I think this is going to problematic for them. Best I can hope for is they replace it. I bought it to compare against a Samsung Smarttag 2 so I don't care that it broke. I'm now interest in seeing what kind of support I get. I'll post an update.
@@IllinoisDailyCarry Resolved through chat on website. I sent them a pic. The said they would replace it now or I could wait a couple weeks for new ones that have a stronger tab. I chose to wait. Good service, no arguing. I'll do a final update to see what they did to update the design. BTW, nice review!
Thanks f9r checking this out. Looking forward to a battle vid.
Thanks Mike! I hope the Moto Tag is available Day 1 on Amazon Prime or something as I really want to do this battle video too.
Thanks, there is lack of FMD devices reviews so far. Waiting for battle.
@@whycheesus pardon my ignorance. What is an FMD?
Thanks for the comment.
@@whycheesus just realized it's and acronym for find my... Haha. Sometimes I'm smart.

@@thebookishdad did you do a reset on the Pebblebee already?
Can my cell phone and my wife's cell phone connect to the same tag?
One account "owns" the tag but it can be shared with 10 people.
I bought two of them. The first connected but it wknt work on Find my device . I think they are crap devices
..waste of money
This rollout has been all sorts of terrible. So bad it makes me think of switching to Apple.
This tracker sounded more and more bad to more you went through what it cant do.
Sometimes that's the better question, right. Thanks for the view/comment.
