Hello...I have used pearl essence and loved outcome...I’m getting ready to redo a bathroom vanity which is dark glossy/varnished wood do I need to sand vanity or use a primer..since this is going to be in bathroom worried paint/metallic (Pear Essence)will peel off?
Yes, the pearl isn't opaque enough to change the color of the paint. I did a light gray nightstand with the pearl finish for my daughter's room and it's stunning!
I don't know why not. I think with these particular paints it would be quite expensive though. There may be a similar pearl glaze that's more suited to walls to save you $$.
@@thefabulousmrsb7883 So does that mean that if I apply it over a light grey it will give a pearlized look to the grey . . . hmmm, wondering how transparent the pearlized paint is?
Jenny, looks sooo pretty! Glad to know you can mix it with the top coat. Thanks 😊
Beautiful!!
Lovely!! What a difference it makes. Subtle, yet noticeable. Thanks for the tip. Emily Liberty.
Yes, it gives just the right amount of sparkle!!
It finnishes it off beautifully.
I think so too!

Very pretty!
Gorgeous! did you spray the GF Antique White milk paint?
Can I add this to the most durable top coat you reccommend to use to seal satin finish latex painted powder room floor tiles ? which top coat ?
Can I use this same process over chalk paint or do I need to do 1 layer of top coat before applying the pearl effects and top coat mix? TIA
I would do a layer of topcoat on the chalk paint before using this process. That will give you the best work-ability with what you've got!!
Thank you for your reply. Wish me luck. ☺️
Is the white just a flat paint, semigloss, satin?
can you use a foam roller or applicator instead of a brush to apply the top coat pearl?
Yes, I think you could!
Love the furniture!! Is it new or a thrift store find?? Loved the twist pattern on each side AND the matching handles!!
Yes, this was a pretty set. My friend bought it off FB marketplace.
My project was very streaky even though I mixed it 50/50... will multiple coats work out the streaks?
Yes, I think 2-3 coats is the sweet spot to getting a nice even finish.
Ok, thx!
Can I use metallic paint with chalk paint? Can I add wax after I use it?
If I wanted a soft grey result would the pearl effects go over a flat gray and still keep the color? Thanks.

hi i want to know how to clean the furniture with general finishes thanks
Once the paint is cured (2-3 weeks) I just use an all purpose cleaner and warm water. Or dish soap and water works too!
Roots & Wings Furniture LLC thanks
Can this method be applied to walls?

Greetings "Roots and Wings",
I like how you combined both paints for adding gloss to the furniture. Very nice!

Can you use the pearl glaze over any color and still achieve the pearl effect?
Sara Nicole....Odd....I was hoping you would get a response. I was wondering the same thing. 🤷🏾♀️
She says at the beginning of the video that this one is her favorite because it doesn't change the color. 😊
