More info: Igor Presnyakov studied classical music at a nearby academy and would eventually graduate as both a guitarist and a conductor for ensembles. His unique acoustic guitar-style is influenced by various musical genres from Reggae, Rock and Roll, R&B, Country-western, Jazz and Heavy Metal. Igor also rarely sings any of the lyrics to any kind of song that he covers, and instead skillfully translates them into a guitar melody, having his instrument sing the words.

I'm not as impressed by his playing as I am by how much feeling he puts into his playing, despite probably having played these songs countless times.
I don't often visit Igor's videos, but he always earns my respect all over again when I do.
He has so much passion for the instrument and for the song itself - Respect.

Thing is (I assume), Igor can totally sing, but to sing and play guitar like that at the same time is really, really challenging, hence why we usually only hear him sing a little.

While Stairway is arguably one of the most classic and important songs of the 20th century, I admittedly turn the station (or skip forward) when it comes on because I've heard it 1000x... However, I could not turn away from watching Igor play this... amazing and soulful rendition!

There will never be new classic rock songs...I have stopped listening to my classic rock stations due to repetition. it's sad. There are so many deep tracks that never get played. It's a shame really. Songs I used to love are so overplayed, that I switch stations when they come on. Stairway, on the other hand, ALWAYS gets belted out in my car.
PDX Guitar Freak i also couldnt stop listening. However, if ever this song comes on the radio it always gets turned up even though i grew up with this song during the 70s. Still one of my all time favourites and Egor has done a fantastic job. Bravo

I find igor's playing like filling every second. It is definitely not dull like most of guitarists.
He somehow manages to do the bass, two guitars, drums and a voice. This is brilliant, way beyond of what I could ever achieve playing guitar. I wish I could dedicate my life to the guitar as much as you do.
If you are starting to learn how to play this on guitar you better skip this video.
+Milos Momcilovic But he is using basic open chords in the key of C such as _Am_, _Cmaj_, _Dmaj_ mostly then sometimes _Fmaj_ and _Bmaj_.The key of C doesn't even have a single sharp/flat in it which makes it a lot easier key to memorize. Moving up the fret board doesn't mean that he is playing some very different chord. He is using the fretboard in the key of C(i.e. CDEFGABC) itself. Just the tricky part is using your pinky as melody(using the high e string i.e.,) when you are playing those chords. Don't worry, just work on it. As about mastering the _moving up the neck_ takes time to understand but, requires less effort to play once you try. Peace.

The song is in A minor not C major.
A is the relative minor of C, and has not sharps or flats either. and the scale would be made of the notes (ABCDEFGA).
The majority of what you said is write, I would just hate for this comment to confuse anyone new to music believing that this song is in C major when it is in fact A minor.

Actually I think he would do worse, in my opinion finger-style guitars look like they allow more 'options'. Or rather you can play multiple things at once, making it sound as though there are many guitars playing as once instead of one. Saying this based off my (mediocre) understanding of guitars, so pls no h8 m8.
Lee Singa There are no "finger-style guitars." Finger-style is a method of playing a normal guitar, using your fingers to pluck the individual strings instead of your thumb/a pick. This is nothing more than a normal six string acoustic guitar.
Okiesmokie Wow, shows me what I know :/ I always assumed that there was a type of fingerstyle guitar, along with electric or acoustic. I took acoustic guitar lessons in my High School, and the teacher said that finger-style was played on classical, so I've been calling it finger style guitar ever since. -.-'' god I feel stupid
