MASSIVE FOOD SUPPLY AT MON REPOS SHADE HOUSES & HYDROPONICS FARM

The shade-house project and hydroponics farm at National Agricultural Research and Extension institute (NAREI) at Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara, have been demonstrating how local farming can be improved. During a visit to the site on Thursday, President Dr. Irfaan Ali was told that tonnes of food have been produced in a far smaller land space that would have been required by traditional farming. Chief Executive Officer of the youth agriculture programme, One Guyana Inc.,Teesha Mangra joined the President and told him about the production there.
