- This is a quick guide showing how to take on Kil'Jaeden in Tomb of Sargeras on Mythic difficulty as a Ret Paladin patch 10.05. This boss can be a very tricky one if you don't know what you are doing. Should be similar for all other Melee classes.

Thanks, 5+ years later here I am still trying to do it as a ret pally. the bombs kept dropping too fast for some reason though and I was actually getting blown around mid air left and right, on my 5th attempt I pulled with execution sentence -> wake of fire -> blades -> final verdict and he insta died bypassing all of the phases. Wasn't sure this was even possible on him.

Doesn't work, when you go in the darkness Illidan isn't there to help kill the shadows. Did it 4 times he never jumps over. So makes no sense how these people are doing this raid.

Thank you good sir for best guide for this diffic for this boss that can be found on YTB. Tried with other vids that was lacking very crucial info about killing single shade to leave darkness realm fast and finish the boss. All other guides just relay on insane DPS burst presuming that all who play WoW are high geared.

Good Guide. I left stupid failing even after understanding the mechanics.
When I do this for the Dark Phase, Illidan never jumps over & I'm stuck wandering around a dark arena w/ immune mobs until I suicide.

I've been stuck here solo for a little while. I keep getting flung off the sides by those stupid black orbs, gonna try your suggestions to see if I can knock it out today.
Update, this 100% worked, thank you so much for the tips. I was so sick of being thrown off the edge by those stupid balls, lol.
Any tips on taking out Zul in Uldir? Same issue, he fears me and I jump off the ledge >.

Yeah this does not work, ive done it 6 times, started attacking the shadow and cannot get out of dark phaze. Broken.

Hey, I am the creator of the video. Just lost my account so sorry for not getting back right away. There are two ways I do it. If you have enough dps you can burn him before he gets to that phase or you have to target one of the demons before you go into it and kill him just as you go in. Hope this helps.

good explanation of what u need to do...tip for rogues ,you can claw yourself out with Cloak of Shadows once (if u fail with one of the purple orbs and time it correctly ) got a like and a sub ,thank you m8y...

lol i killed him even before he left the ground. My Elemental blast overloaded to hard. Elemental shammy 473 ilvl
Still such a bullshit fight. Sometimes there will be 2 orbs hitting the ground shortly after another at the exact same location so you CANNOT survive it. This fight really isn't any skill... it's just luck.
