I can't thank you enough for the great advice on the NYC trip. We had a one-week visit and planned our trip mostly based on the cool locations that you mentioned in your channel. Also thanks for your great advice on mistakes that tourists may make. Very helpful and useful!
Welcome back action kid!!. The point to visit new york is to feel the energy. Don't see how that is possible by eating in a chain restaurant or visiting a wax museum thanks for suggesting to others to avoid it as well.
The M&M Store is 1 of my first stops when I arrive in Time Square. they offer free shipping with purchases over $250. I load up on birthday and Christmas presents, have them delivered to my work. The merch is sitting on my desk when I get back. They also give away those shopping bags which I put the gifts in. People love getting them!
Expecting this to be another great video, got a 14 night trip coming up in just over a year so your videos are so helpful, have you made any videos about Zoo's in NYC yet?
That's hilarious how ActionKid was staying perfectly still for part of the vlog. That's amazing how there are so many wax figures in a museum! A lot of the wax figures like Jimmy Kimmel's wax figure look realistic. Never knew they made a wax figurine of the Obamas! That's pretty cool! Those guinea pigs were adorable! So cute one was trying to hide. I guess they get a little shy sometimes with all the bustle and excitement of the city.
I never thought Jon Barr in an Olive Garden would be the funniest thing I’d see so far today. You’re just sitting there with that look on your face like, “Bro, what the heck am I doing here right now?” I love it.
I went to the same Bubba Gump on my first trip to NYC. You gotta understand that for a Latinamerican who doesn’t get those kind of places back home going to a Bubba Gump in Times Square is a big thrill. On the other hand I wouldn’t go to the best Colombian restaurant in Astoria to pay 25 bucks for a plate I can get back home for 5 bucks .
@@HereBeBarr I meant thrill! Going on vacation in 2 weeks to NYC, 4th time now. Your videos are awesome and I have outgrown the typical tourist stuff even planning on taking a stroll in Forest Hills this time lol. What a thrill to see you did a collab with Action Kid. You, Action Kid, Sarah Funk, Flossy Carter, MKBHD are my favorite NY RUclipsrs.
In real world, most people are not foodies and would not mind eating at chain restaurants. Most people in the general public just view food as fuel for survival and eat what’s familiar in their childhood.
We were at NYC for the first time 2 weeks ago and I’m proud to say we just fall in the M&M’s trap. Our kids wanted to try the same milk chocolate m&m’s in unicorn 🦄 color 🤪…🤷🏻♀️. I have to say that we enjoy all the food we ate in our trip. Thanks for all your tips!
Having just come back Monday gone - Time Sqaure is a one and done visit and preferably early. Too much Weed, everyone rude and trying to hustle everyone. The rest of NYC is amazing
Guys, if you’re going to choose a chain restaurant, Bubba Gump is a good option. This restaurant is part of a chain of restaurants headquartered in Houston, TX. The quality of their product is very good.
So nice to see AK & you together again. He did such a fantastic job of being the wax figure, I was starting to believe it was real. Lol. Great video again, worth watching just for your facial expressions in Olive Garden.
On Times Square I would definitely recommend Virgil’s bbq, the food and service was amazing. Think we were the only couple in there that wasn’t just sitting on our phone, we were laughing our heads off at life and enjoying our time in the big city ❤️
One thing I've learned from my worldly travels is: Do a little research on the tourist trap places, don't go to them and just lie when people ask if you went to x, y, z. It's your holiday. Go/do what you want.
Olive Garden actually started in Orlando with a location somewhere in downtown Orlando. It was taken by the Darden company which also owns red lobster and a couple other chains. Honestly it’s an ok place for what it is but unless you just come from doctor’s visit or don’t have much choice you know. Olive Garden is always an after doctor place for me as it fills you up well enough as you need the carbs and meat in you as you are so exhausted after doing blood and tests, it’s enough to get you home that’s for sure.
That’s why, I get the extra Alfredo sauce, when I order chicken Alfredo at Olive Garden. They’re food is okay and the restaurant is expensive. Even here in Michigan.
We just returned from our 6 day trip in NYC. Watched a lot of your videos before we went! Knew to avoid the tourist traps and ate our weight in 99 cent slices. Only walked through Times Square to get to Moulin Rouge.
I just saw Adriana's Instagram post!! Congratulations to the both of you. What a beautiful, precious little boy! You will fall in love like never before!!
Bubba Gump’s is defs one of the least horrible of the Times Square Chain Restaurants, however Olive Garden is only somewhat enjoyable if you’ve got a good seat. It’s not exactly the best lottery to play with so many better options for views and food. You’ve gotta stop at the MnM store at least once in your life tho. If for anything, just to pee and observe the overwhelming amount of multi-colored chocolate, but honestly once is enough lol
@@HereBeBarr It’s been my reprieve a few times now!! That or the McDonald’s after getting something off the dollar menu if I really can’t hold it hahaha
I visited Times Square twice (as I had different fellow travellers), but we never had the idea to eat there or visiting some places there as Tussaud's. Too many scams around, and we enjoyed other places in the city of New York much more.
Great to see you and AK together again! Made me giggle! I've been to NY several times and never done any of these things. I don't go anywhere near Times Square if I can help it. I don't even stay in Midtown as I feel other parts of the city are much more authentic. Great vlog! Thank you.

10:31 didn't know that, thanks! Last time I was in Times Square, both the McDonalds and the Starbucks Reserve did not have working bathrooms. A worker told me to go to the Marriot Marquis. Just take the elevator to the main lobby to access the bathrooms!
I went to M&M world years ago and it was packed but nice. Given the topic of this video, you should've also showed the McDonalds in Times Square. I was there back in 2013 close to Midnight and it was VERY packed, with people practically on top of each other on both floors. That McDonald's is most definitely one of those tourist traps that you want to avoid.
