La Paz is the place John Steinbeck (Nobel Prize winner in Literature) and Edward Ricketts (his long time friend) visited in 1940 by a research boat. They wrote a book after that journey. After having finished reading their travelogue "Sea of Cortez" recently, I dream of visiting La Paz one day.
Such a nice couple you interviewed! They have the right attitude for living in Mexico and a lovely home. Very sound advice as business owners for others with employees.
You have great energy in your videos brother! I really enjoy your topics and I'm learning a great deal. I am at my infancy stages of this but was in San Luis Potosi and then Tamul for the waterfalls in May. And just returned from Guadalajara and the Lake Chapala area last Thursday. Slowly building the life. :)
I am Mexican living in Mexico City but I decided to buy a house in La Pac BCS, I love the city is amazing, and a lot of respecful Americans living here as well, I love to see them happy enjoying Mexico.
Very interesting video. I would love to hear more about what type of business younger folks can start while living in Mexico or what type they have in the US that they can continue down here. I only got the names of their businesses. I wish them continued success. Thanks for sharing.
Mark and Edna's businesses are both in the massage world. Very hands-on. But they show they can manage their employees from afar. So any business with employees and managers on the ground in the US should work with owners in Mexico. Here's how I make money in Mexico: ruclips.net/video/uXlzDtTGODo/видео.html
Since we are a bit farther down the rode. We have sold our property associated with our business. Down sized our business to me being an independent stylist at a local salon. Will be interesting to see how my clients respond , when I return after spending 5 months in the La Paz area. Thanks for this interview, I learn something every time I watch one of your videos!
Thanks Janet. I hope your clients hair can last for 5 months without being cut. I get mine cut here in La Paz and there's always a rush when foreigners return in the fall!

When will you be back to La Paz? I love the coffee shop at Marathan RV park! Tiki Todds closed for part of the summer, but it's reopening in October. Hopefully with the same British chef (really good fish and chips!)

By the time you read this you should be back at your northern home with the Kat of your life. Hope you got the tile work worked out. PS here we face the harbour and when hurricanes blow our "Fake French Doors" leak. But that was our site "specialists" fault. P n D PS We are retired and that IS our full time job. It's taken a few years but we are getting pretty good at it.
Glad you’ve mastered retirement- now if you can just monetize cutting the grass. Actually, I think people would watch a YT channel that is just grass being cut. Put a GoPro on the front of the mower and post that video each week. Maybe plow videos in the winter. I dare you to do it! And I bet 100 pesos that it would work. I want a “thinkers fee” when you become a millionaire.

That's true about the safety in Seattle, We were just there it was really bad experience so many homeless and drug addicts were unbelievable, it's really bad to see how USA it's running down, but the government allows them to do that, in Mexico we don't see that happens
In Mexico, people's families take care of them, not the government. If people took care of their family members in the US, there wouldn't be a homeless problem. But it's really hard to be a family member of someone with a drug addiction!

Once you sell your house, if you make a $70,000 profit and put that in the bank for 6 months, you could qualify for temporary residency.
