@@marsandbars Not sure if you're joking, but in case you aren't many powers that be are claiming the current levels of inflation are "transitory" (meaning prices are rising due to temporary supply issues, not monetary policy). The joke is that, even while that may be partially true, prices won't stop going up, let alone go back down... at best they'll just stop going up quite as fast. Ergo, these politicians' incompetence is "transitory" in the same way, not really ever going away.

@GunterDaPenguin My government accounting professor at University of Houston Downtown stated that accounting for the US Federal Government was complete voodoo, would almost certainly not be included in any part of the CPA exam in Texas and not to study how the feds do accounting.
