Russia reveals New Reuse Rocket over 100x to REPLACE SpaceX! Musk laughs...
“Bring it on,” Elon Musk just challenged Russia's space leader, who claimed their new rocket will put Falcon 9 reuse to shame.
So, what is Russia's new rocket?
How did this new rocket put Falcon 9 to shame?
Is Falcon 9 really at a disadvantage against it?
Let's find out on today's episode of Alpha Tech:
Russia reveals New Reuse Rocket over 100x to REPLACE SpaceX! Musk laughs...
The once-praised missile industry sector of Russia is now only a whisper of its former self.
They are experiencing a significant decline due to various factors, including outdated missile teams, government budget cuts, and the war in Ukraine pushing away Western customers. However, it is difficult for the leaders of this country to explain these difficult truths to the Russian people. Russians are justifiably proud of their country's heritage of space firsts and dominant position in space. Therefore, Russian officials typically try to bluster.
Russia reveals New Reuse Rocket over 100x to REPLACE SpaceX! Musk laughs...
This is something that the head of Roscosmos, Yury Borisov, recently did in a lecture at the Tsiolkovsky State Museum of the History of Cosmonautics. Before the audience of students and tourists at the museum, Yury Borisov made bold statements about the country's future rocket launch plans that left us hard to believe.

When Elon went to Russia to try to buy an ICBM, their representative spit on his shoes. Clearly the Russians should have fostered a better relationship. Elon gets the ultimate laugh. Go SpaceX!!
This is funny - how the world turns on a dime.
Russians spitting on your shoes is normal, and expresses solidarity not disrespect. But because of this cultural misunderstanding, Russia lost out, and Musk built SpaceX.
Hilarious….!!
R
The government can't even afford to scrape the rust off their 40 year old mothball tanks. If it gets built at all, this will be a one of a kind beast at best
SpaceX saved the USA the indignity of renting Russian launch capacity. ULA uses the Russian RD-180 rocket engines. Is it necessary to laugh... or just say "bring ithe on"
Russia would need a visonary engineer manager such as Von Braun, Korolov or Musk. After Korolov died, the Soviet Union space programme slowed dramatically. It was underfunded with grandiose goals.
Hilarious tittle. They just copy a broomstick 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The difference is…
Musk’s rocket works.
R
Sorry, Russia. Elon Musk beat you to the concept.
If you ever have read any of old technical & scientific publications from 80s -there was lot of ideas about reusable rockets. But Musk is the 1st to solve all tech riddles for those theories
I didn't know the Russians are ordering space x rockets from Temu 😂
This is total bollocks. Russian rocket tech has hardly advanced since the 1960s. Furthermore quality control is abysmal.
Russia mistakenly thinks it's still Soviet Union (USSR).
Why would you think others are retardes as you😊.
Unfortunately it proves otherway. And reality proves it everyday.
Seeing is believing They haven’t even put out diagrams or even a plastic model of their so called reusable rocket yet. It’s all hot air blowing out.
You can't claim to out perform the falcon 9 until you actually out perform the falcon 9.
I'm sure the Russian rockets will be just as great as their tanks!
Will they also burn beautifully?
Our tanks ain't looking so good against drones or missles either, buddy.
@@kirillperov3843 Once the top pops off.
@@remo27 Actually crew protection is much superior. Even if a Western tank is hit the crew are very likely to survive. For Russian tanks not so much.
Makes sense for a methalox rocket to be reusable that many times, if they can get it to work. SpaceX is developing one of those as well called Starship and it's also much better than their current Falcon-9.
Blue Origin should hire Borisov... he'd fit in perfectly.
Wishful thinking!
"inspired" means blatantly copied.
300 hundred plus landings of the Falcon 9 first stage. Goal to launch 100 times per year. If SpaceX only does 50 per year and the Russlieskis did 100 per year it would take 12 years to catch SpaceX.
300 + ( 6×50 ) is 600 spacex... Russia 100 x 6 is 600 .. so your answer is 6 years not 12
Is it called the "Space Lada"? Russia tech is shat!
I think the comment about Russia out doing SpaceX is a lot of hype. Elon Musk will plow right through this hype. Did they take a page out of Blue Origins play book? Great episode.
I guess they also refer to each other. Ha ha
@@alphatech4966 I think your right.
It is amazing how Russia, that has a rich and storied history in rockery and space has fallen on such hard times. They definitely have bright mathematicians and engineers. The hard question they should ask is - WHY? Why have they not innovated with such lead?
Perhaps Russia should privatize and let free market develop rockets there like it in the US. This will be a painful transition but well worth the effort as the current Government controlled centralized model is not working. We could definitely use the brain power of Russia as we try to make us an inter-planetary species. They would be well advised to channel their energy into productive areas instead of wars that does not help anyone.
Maybe it is just the musings of an older man.
But Russia is having military problems and perhaps weapons are what they need to focus on the most right now. The war that created this.
Just fantasy. They are flying Souz developed 75 ears ago.
Actions speak louder than words
And words speak louder then actions, works mire similarly then most people would think!!

@@jasper9291 uh no. He has reusable rockets. You lose and have a good day sir.
Pay no attention to the 70 yo tanks we are using in ukraine!
Bring it on! Let see some competition!
how many years are they behind? they put themselves to shame. now try catching up.
Elon has been running rockets to be safe and long lasting Russian rockets who knows whether it will exist after takeoff like the tires on the tanks
if its NOT reusable, its not
SpaceX has a lot if launches because they have lots of clients. After Ukraine, nobody significant will use trust them or give them money.
Why wouldn't people trust one of the most dependable and cost-effective rockets ever?
Spacex is not going anywhere anytime soon.
@@johnd.7792it will go... To the Moon 😂😂 and later to the mars as Elon is obsessed with Mars (idgaf about Elon time)
That's funny, when Elon gets Starship up and running Falcon will be reduced. With the Russians decades behind, I put more faith in the Chinese and the stolen tech to keep up anywhere close to Elon. I think Space X will keep flying first stages until they have a RUD, my guess it will be in the high double digits. Elon's thought where 10-12 originally, I recall could be mistaken, They have double that.
Yeah! Thank you for your comment!
China cannot keep up with Russia never mind Falcon and Starship. SLS is up for sale?
During the soviet system when a framers tractor broke down the farmer was forbidden to open the hood and work on it. The reason for this is the farmer would see "Ford" stamped on the engine.
but did they even flown one
Don't be fooled, space tech and military tech tend to go together like peanut butter and jelly. Russia's investment in its space program is also an investment in its military, it's state-owned not a private venture.
Russian space projects are extremely prone to failure. Washed up.
Hey Russia use a метловище AKA Broomstick instead.
I couldn't be happier that the United States is no longer dependent on hitchhiking rides on Russian rockets to get to the ISS. That was a period of extreme shame for the USA. Any conflict with Russia at that time would have made the people aboard the ISS hostages in space.
Thanks to a South African who the Democrats are doing there utmost to vilify! Vote Republican all this all may go away.
RK used to laugh at SpaceX in the past. Now RK is trying to catch up with the design replica.
WHAT??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 RIGHT!!
We're back in the old days.... whatever others do... Russia invented it first!!
Ok put your money on the line, Russian rockets are the best of the 90s, 🤔🤔🤔
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.....
I'll believe it when one of them a) flies, b) is reused at least ten times, c) is reused 100 times.
🤣🤣🤣
Russia calls Elons Rockets broom sticks, proceeds to make broom sticks lol

What was that FIRE bursting out the side of S31??? Rumours are that wiring was damaged due to the fire.
Currently there is no clear announcement about that small explosion! But maybe it won't be too serious

"an advice for Russia and Russians: if you want to have successes in cosmic business, in which USSR was the Entrepreneur, move your goals from achieving success in the war, "into successing this business"!
Okay Imma tell Putin he'll 100% listen to me as he does to all the Russian population
The number one advice for Russians is to stop invading countries and chasing away your customer
Russian reusable rockets? I wonder how many launches will turn into giant firework shows?
Also reusable rockets and ships used by other companies in the us and China and Japan too
Prove it Russia. We hope you do.
It probably takes a lot of time!
Haha, ya, good luck with that 😅
Yeah!
I'm surprised roscosmos didn't threaten musk with nukes like they threaten the west for agreeing with lavrov who said ukraine has a sovereign right to join nato which russia would respect in a german newspaper interview once lol....
Your title reads like gibberish.
Clarity, no hyperbole
Seems to me that both Russia and China could salvage spent Falcon first stages from the ocean and duplicate the tech. Surely some have remained partially intact.
And?
Most Falcon 9 first stages either land at the launch site or a barge. Those that are expended will either burn up in the atmosphere or land in the very deep ocean. Russia and China have zero capability to retrieve such hardware.
They were going to build a super carrier to rival the US - still nothing but models - they were going to build a fifth generation fighter - it’s been decades and they still don’t have a squadron of them and their stealth is suspect - Yada Yada yada
Hypersonic missiles??
Rogozin was laughing about space batute and look whos laughing now. Dont make same mistake - innovate!
Oh, so they have enough stolen IP now to think they can make it work. Yeah, they thought the same thing about there shuttle copycat.
This looks a lot like the Buran. The Russians need to stop copying and start innovating.Go straight for an SSTO.
Another country that will have to apologies to musk it's his design's and oh we can't sell in one lol lol ok thanks
The current russian leaders are big story tellers. Believe what you want. Anyway, even this story has any real background: it is much too late. While this enterprise like many others all over the world try to beat Falcon 9. Before any of them are ready, SpaceX use the StarShip. Even worse: before any of them has a system a little bit better than StarShip, SpaceX will have the next Generation operational. The game is over.
russkie new rocket is better and it called bylat x
Funny!
But we can all chase updated 50 year old technology with rockets with updated engines. At the end of the day, that's all it is.
I really kind of resented the fact that Elon Musk launched his space program on the back of the American taxpayer… but so did Boeing. And mask succeeds where Boeing does not. We need wealthy eccentric geniuses like musk now and in the future.
Well, major difference is that spacex doesn't use cost+ contracts, so it got paid after delivery (some money is send after achieving milestones). Also contracts for SpaceX are substantially lower than those for Boeing (ie dragon is 55 mln per seat against 90mln on starliner). Starship is fully internally funded. HLS eventually can offset some of the cost when is delivered, but out of 3.2 bln, SpaceX got 855mln for achieving 30+ milestones. I like this model as it promotes cost reduction, innovation and speed, as money are not paid until it's delivered. Cost+ incentive to going over budget and delays.
This is not interesting. . Click Bait
jajaja propaganda de EEUU
They won't catch up, because its a winner takes all. SpaceX's costs are lower, so people will come to then. The idea of launches to get cash flow to develop, well its too late.

Russians are not a joke. They are not novices in this game. They might have been outpaced by spacex but they are giants and can deliver a surprise. Dont forget they already have hypsersonics when the US is still developing and testing.
They have claimed hypersonic - no one knows how good they really are - hypersonic isn’t enough - accuracy is required as well - how maneuverable are they - not impressed yet

You watching a lot of CNN 🤣🤣🤣
@jdluntjr76226 Unfortunately for all of you living in Superman's world they have a hypersonic missile. We all have to get use to that. It's not a joke.
However I believe in the power of Space X to inovate.
Russian history or rocket development is undeniable. Their current situation is less clear. We do know that they don't give up.
lol yeah right. Russian engineering lmao
I guess Trump sold him the plans
Do people really still believe Trump and Putin were in bed together? That whole thing is a myth, it was already proven.
It's more likely that Biden Junior or Hillary sold them the plans. They have much closer relations with Russia.
Yet a lot of SpaceX's designs are based on original Russian research. Particularly Starship. Russia has been using Grid fins and hot staging for years, Also developing Methalox engines RD-0162/0164.
I do agree Russia have a lot to prove going forwards.
SpaceX is a long way beyond what Russia ever achieved.

The truth is Russia has amazing capacity and if they were as world media favorite we would appreciate how technologically capable they are. I think that it has capacity to innovate that puts a country apart. Russia has the world knowledgeable leaders and continue to be on one's toes to succeed. Congratulations for leading anti colonialism.
Do not underestimate Russia. If we go out of the politics an focus purely on science/technical point of view, all pros are for Russia and not for the USA.
1. Accidents in Space and uscussessfull missions - A lot more for USA than Russia.
2. Casulties in Space programs - 17 for USA, 4 for Russia.
3. Price per kg delivered in low earth orbit - still Russian's is unbeatable.
4. Not to mention that USA doesn't have even a smallest exeprience in bulding facilities for long life support in space (apart from Skylab which didn't last long). The current ISS is built on the foudnation of the Zarya module and the entire experience of the former USSR and Russia afterwards - Space Stations 'Salyut' and 'Mir'.
The fact that russians space successes and are not widely displayed, in Hollywood style like Americans, is purely because of the culture difference.
I don't like when the politics are mixed with science and technology. Hence, it is not fair to say that Russians are Mr. Nobody in the space and Elon Musk is the only inventor there.
More over that his 'Do It Yourself' approach in building the spacecrafts, inevitably will lead to a new casulties. Remember the "Titan" disaster as an ocean analogy.
russia barely has a real economy now. There is no way they're going to beat the USA any time soon.
All of these technologies to me pale in comparison to what best of others have done. I need to look at comparisons given by you, for I don't believe these.
Russia? No. China? Yes.
Price per kg to LEO is way cheaper on Falcon 9 compared to anyone currently by 10 folds.
