God this announcer Al Micheals was my childhood. I didnt get into football till recently but my dads been a huge fan his entire life. Id hear it on the TV, the radio, you name it. Gives me great nostalgia to watch this game
And still announcing
The golden era of the NFL football video games and the birth of NFL network
It’s 2022 and I’ve still yet to play a game as solid top to bottom as 2k5. Unreal that a > 15 year old game is better than the latest madden
@@richardtherichard26 sports games suck in general
Also, any game with John Madden as a commentator is always going to be a great game.
Shut up
Bro Al Michaels and John Madden were the 🐐 commentating crew
Madden 2002 was the last with Patt Summerall and him
www.youtubesolit.com/watch?v=yIGSyfhuzrJ
RIP Madden. Began watching football in the early 90s, and he was the audio to every big football game, for me. Legend!
The Dolphins have always been the Patriots' kryptonite over the years of the Patriots dynasty years. It's so weird. I remember this one pretty well.
We were the Giants of the AFC East
Tbf, the Patriots are 24-12 all time vs Dolphins. Its just that the Pats have a hard time in Miami
Those divisional games hit different for real
@@the100thtimelord2bruh what Ik this comment late as hell but at that point if your comment the phins and dolphins played more then 100 games with the dolphins leading all time 💀
R.I.P to the king John Madden
Al Michaels and John Madden are the best NFL commentating team. There’s no better combo in my opinion. It was a very sad moment in the football world when Madden passed away. There wasn’t many who could say a bad word about the man. Rest easy, big John.
Great game btw. I love watching all these old early 2000’s games, because I didn’t begin watching until the 2006 season, the season after the Steelers beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
Pat Summerall & John Madden were the best.
Man, I miss watching Monday Night Football on ABC. It’s a good thing it could happen in 2022
I miss Al Michaels on MNF
Me as a dolphins fan I love when New England comes to town. Never know what the dolphins are gonna do no matter how bad they are against the pats.
Okruclips.net/video/a1j9owBuwdQ/видео.html
I remember when we won against the pats in 2019 and stopped them from getting 1st round bye
This was an incredible game.
I remember watching this on live television thinking this was gonna be a easy win for the patriots
I was a Pats fan watching with my dad
What an Awesome Memory from a terrible season ... Thank you !! 😁😎🌴🌴🌴
i am poats fan i hate you not to be rude
For Pats fans, it would be a terrible memory from an awesome season.
Dillon is my favorite Bengals running back of all time, I'm glad he got a championship with the Pats. He deserved it, for all the games he single handedly carried the Bengals. #WhoDeyNation
I forgot that Wes Welker played for Miami. Great to hear Coach Madden.
Jason Taylor was feared by all, didn't matter who u thought u were he was gonna be chasing u from start to finish
Fact
1080p in 2004 thats just amazing
2:03:38, John Madden, you couldn’t be more wrong, the dolphins playing at home against the pats? It is never a meaningless game
It’s John Madden he gets a pass
It is meaningless lol, if your 2-11 then one win isn’t doing anything other than ruining your draft pick. Your not making the playoffs at 5-11.
@@Kingkam_77 you obviously don’t understand 🙄
@@KE234LOVO ohhh, your talking about the rivalry, in that case it’s not meaningless.

Am I the only one who actually liked those orange Dolphins unis?
Me too. Any color other than white or Gray is a pass for me. Too bland
They were clean it fit the Miami vibe for sure. It is like a retro throwback look. I prefer it over the white.
Personally I like these era dolphins Uniforms in general over the new ones the aqua face mask is really cool
No, I love them

Good ol’ days of when young Brady was in his prime with Bill.
You could say Brady’s in his prime now 😂😂
@@Sam-ReedDIII he always was. Every year.
When was he not in his prime with him? 😂
@@hunterswartz3160 Every year he was
@@hunterswartz3160 I’m kind of joking but ok
The Steelers went 15-1 this season as Ben's rookie year he went 13-0. They beat New England in week 8 along the way ending their 21 game winning streak. It was all for naught as the Patriots beat them in the playoffs in the rematch
There are things guaranteed to happen in life:
1:Death
2.Taxes
3. The dolphins beating the patriots every year
No, the 3rd was, Chad Johnson is gonna be open...lol And that was a fact. He had some of the best hands/footwork of all the WR's in his prime. I wasn't a big fan of his antic's but, he always played hard and won most matchups.

@ 0:54 Oh, yay! 😃 It's so great to see and hear John Madden. 👍
Here in Australia, we didn't get much NFL coverage AT ALL in 2004 (and on and on), but John Madden was ALWAYS my favourite commentator. 💎 This will be fun! 😊

any chance we can get fulls seasons on Game Pass from the 2000s, 90s, 80s, ext
Remembered it. Watched in 04.
Not only did the patriots lose this game they also lost the Number 1 seed to the 15-1 Steelers but still clinched a bye week with the Number 2 seed
John describes the plays so well. Without coming off as patronizing to the viewers. Some color commentators treat the viewers like they’re kids watching football, and require it to be spoon fed to them. Madden breaks down the plays perfectly, and he always has a priceless and interesting anecdote to accompany his analysis.
I’m not saying all color commentators are like that, but a lot of them used to be; thankfully it’s not nowhere near as frequent and as prevalent as it was a few years ago. Because the commentators nowadays know that most fans understand the play concepts and where plays broke down etc.

One of the few times brady fails to deliver a comeback and the pats choke a lead. As a pats fan this game sort of hurts but in the end was worth it. Also any game called by madden is always a good game.
Prior to and throughout the 20 year dynasty more often than not Miami was a House of Horrors for the Patriots. The 2004 season ended 6 weeks or so after this game w/ the Pats 3rd title in 4 years. This crazy loss may actually have served as a wake up call for this tremendous team headed into the playoffs.
The Night Courage Wore Orange
THAT’S…….. Why they play the games
One of the best games in my opinion
One of the rare games that a non-call on NE didn’t cost the other team the win. So glad this era of bias officiating is over with.
Rip To John madden😢
A Jason Garrett sighting in Miami! 👏
This Dolphins logo should have been left alone one of the best all time. The orange uniforms however belong in the trash

Tom Brady in Hard Rock Stadium... 8-9 a LOSING record in 17 games
Pro Player Stadium is the only thing that can consistently stop Tom Brady other than Eli
@@noahcricket Denver?
@@noahcricket , Facts! Miami plays the Patriots tough at home , and even knocked them out of a first-round bye in 2019 at New England with Ryan "FitzMagic" outplaying Tom Brady in that game. As a result, the Tennessee Titans went into Gillette stadium and ended the Patriot dynasty once and for all, along with Tom Brady's tenure with New England by knocking them out of the playoffs. Thank you for the Eli acknowledgement!! Go G-Men!! Eli played his best against the best - and outplayed The Now Undisputed G.O.A.T. Tom Brady not once, but twice in Super Bowl history. Eli went 8-4 in the post-season overall in his career, with the Giants having to go through Lambeau once against H.O.F. Brett Farve, and again against Aaron Rodgers en route to victories in Super Bowl 42 and Super Bowl 46. Hall Of Fame Credentials for Eli, in my opinion. Stay Safe. Peace.
The game Bill said ... That Welker guy, go get him for next year.
That punt return is probably solely responsible for Wes welkers career 😂😂
Just ordered a Zach Thomas throwback from 2004 and was disappointed he wasn't active in this one.

Miami hasn't been the same since the 70s Dan Marino & Ricky Williams & The Patriots hasn't been the same since that super bowl 🐻 s 86 lost and the lost of Tom Brady after 6 super bowls almost 8 if they didn't lost to the giants I'm done enough said great game a throwback for me.

Will you still do the full legendary games
Never mind, he is still running his mouth.
@21:21 Hoody NEVER gets credit for the way he drafted, then managed Brady on the roster early on. Will be interesting to see if divine intervention at that magnitude with QB and head coach ever happens again. I don't think Mahomes and Reid will ever sniff that level (and they definitely have the best shot).

Was this the game where Tom made some headlines for saying historically?

Hello im a noob on football trying to learn their history of great and memorable games. Can someone please recommend me great old regular season games? Doesnt matter the team. Thanks
man, Madden wasn't a high IQ guy, but he really could call a game, same with Al Michaels. They were a legendary duo.

Why did Tom throw that pick. Just take a sack. It would have been third down if he was sacked
THAT'S.............. why they play the games

Bengals vs Steelers in 2020 would like to have a word with you
The manner of Miami’s late comeback stood out. Bengals never trailed in that game
The Steelers where kind of struggling at that point and had a lot of injuries it really wasn’t a giant upset
@@duskthunder9274 True but the Bengals was even more banged up then the Steelers, No Burrow, No Brandon Allen, No Joe Mixon, No Tyler Boyd, No O-Line which was also banged up (not that it matter because the Bengals O-Line sucks.), And the Interior D-Line, banged up as well, yet are secondary step up when we needed it the most.

And the team that lost won the Super Bowl in the end.
Dolphins are actually not very aggressive creatures.
Did he just say Nick saban’s LSU? Wow. Small world.
he expects us to believe the best teams dont get along? its the other way around
Actually, I’m more inclined to believe the hall of fame coach. And think about it for a minute. There’s not much conflict on a bad team. No one holds each other accountable. For lack of a better term they simply don’t care as much. Where as good teams, call each other out when they make a mistake. They hold each other to a higher standard and to them every play matters. It makes sense if you look at it from a logistical stand point.
It's funny, Tom Brady and the Patriots can't seem to get their game up when they're playing a bum team like the dolphins. Brady plays his best as the underdog
Bates should have gotten the job instead of Saban he wouldn't have quit.
And Tom Brady would go on to make people pay for that very interception, for the next 16 years.
...17 years if you include this year in which those damn patriots beat my Eagles. God damn Dolphins pissing Brady off, even in 04'.
Dolphins always own the Patriots even up in New England, the only problem is they can't defeat the Officials
That's nonsense, the Pats owned Miami in Foxboro for 20 years. The only 3 times Miami won were when the Pats rested their starters in 05, Brady was injured in 08, and the D fell apart in 19.
