John describes the plays so well. Without coming off as patronizing to the viewers. Some color commentators treat the viewers like they’re kids watching football, and require it to be spoon fed to them. Madden breaks down the plays perfectly, and he always has a priceless and interesting anecdote to accompany his analysis.
I’m not saying all color commentators are like that, but a lot of them used to be; thankfully it’s not nowhere near as frequent and as prevalent as it was a few years ago. Because the commentators nowadays know that most fans understand the play concepts and where plays broke down etc.

As a result, the Tennessee Titans went into Gillette stadium and ended the Patriot dynasty once and for all, along with Tom Brady's tenure with New England by knocking them out of the playoffs. Thank you for the Eli acknowledgement!! Go G-Men!! Eli played his best against the best - and outplayed The Now Undisputed G.O.A.T. Tom Brady not once, but twice in Super Bowl history. Actually, I’m more inclined to believe the hall of fame coach. And think about it for a minute. There’s not much conflict on a bad team. No one holds each other accountable. For lack of a better term they simply don’t care as much. Where as good teams, call each other out when they make a mistake. They hold each other to a higher standard and to them every play matters. It makes sense if you look at it from a logistical stand point.
