One of the strange things ppl say os that Brady was a “game manager” early in his career. But by this point he was already a top 10 qb in the leavue. Won a shootout here with sub par weapons in what is maybe the most underrated superbowl ever
Deion branch played great in this game, wouldn’t necessarily say he had bad weapons at this point but he didn’t have great ones either besides his defense, which gave up 29 points this game. One year later they’d get Corey Dillon, who’d rush for 1600 yards or smth with the pats in 2004.
Well, the patriots were winning games 12-0 back then. They heavily leaned on their defense. Even in these playoffs, their defense was most responsible for every win except this one. They were an efficient and not dominant offense, and that's why brady was considered a game manager

If not for some critical mistakes - Kasay’s infamous kick and John Fox’s 2-pt chasing - the Panthers played well enough to pull it out. A great game though and one of the better SB contest.

I was 12, this was the first year I watched football, first year I ever watched the Super Bowl. I live in Carolina so I am a Carolina fan, I miss this group so much! John Fox coaching, Delhomme, Smith, Peppers, Dan Morgan, John Kasay, and some more big names I'm sure I'm forgetting. I loved that team so freaking much.
As a diehard patriots fan this is the most underrated Super Bowl ever I watch this a lot just like the other super bowls my patriots won💙❤️.

Tom Brady was only 25 years old at the time of this game. No one on this planet knew just how great he was gonna be. That's a beautiful thing and one of the reasons why I love this game.
Agreed. However, there was just something about him that exuded "Big Game Hunter" when I watched him. I'm 43 years young, so I've watched his entire career. There was just something about this guy. I just knew.
@@neekotheconvict2513 yes sir. I was born in Charlotte, N.C. I grew up about 20 miles outside of Charlotte, I've lived here my entire 50 years of life. I was so exicted when we were gifted a franchise. We won the NFC west division in our 2nd season, we went to the NFC championship that year and lost to the Packers. That was the 1996 season. We went to the superbowl in 2003 and 2015 seasons and lost both. Heartbreaking. It is very hard being a Carolina Panthers fan. 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲😁😁

Caroline Panthers are overdue for their SB win, they have had such a journey over the years, and came so close with Newton against the Broncos (and with this one too) and what I mean by close in the Broncos one is that they were so good all the way up till the Superbowl showing great stride game after game, but quite fitting for Broncos and Manning to win it all, although Newton has played his best that year too and was a crazy showing for the Panthers to really make a statement, here's hoping they pull it together and make another run soon (hopefully) as they were the worst team last year, but I can see them pulling off a decent season next year, stepping stones into evolving into SB caliber team once again, this is the NFL though any team that didn't show much promise last year can come out as a surprise underdog team this year like with every year. Congrats to the Patriots though, always a long road for any two teams to make it to the Superbowl and fun to watch regardless of outcome.
Panthers deserved this win a lot more than the Patriots. Only thing that messed it up was John Kasay’s late kick out of bounds. Kept well deserving guys like Steve Smith and Julius Peppers from getting a championship. Panthers win this game if it isn’t for that one mistake by Kasay.
As for Super Bowl 50, there were many chances the Panthers had to take the lead. I am a 49ers fan and I look back and cringe on some mistakes they made that game. Still glad Peyton got his ring though.

I remember watching this as a 10 year old boy at my grandma’s (RIP) after church on a Sunday night.
Mom and grandma had no idea what a first down was from a touchdown, but we had them jumping around as a result of our excitement.

Not really the "full game" as the title suggegests. This is the condensed version with limited replays and several jump cuts between plays.
Man, the Patriots cheating then or not Carolina going for two after Foster's touchdown was a huge mistake. If everything else after would've played out the same Carolina would've been up 24-21 after Muhammad's touchdown. Then when NE scored their next touchdown, it'd be NE 28 CAR 24. Instead of that Proehl touchdown tying the game it would've put them up by 3 and a late field goal by NE would tie the game instead of winning it.
