- Jermaine Jenas has confessed to sending "inappropriate messages" to women after being sacked by the BBC.
The former footballer, who was a pundit on Match of the Day and co-hosted The One Show, lost his job following allegations about his behavior.
Speaking to The Sun, Jenas, 41, admitted to "cheating" on his wife but insisted "nothing physical ever happened" and that the messages were between "two consenting adults."
He showed deep regret, saying, "I've let down my family, friends, and colleagues, and I owe everyone an apology-especially the women I messaged. I'm so, so sorry."

I do feel sorry for Jermaine jenus yes what he did was stupid considering what the BBC have covered up over the years sending inappropriate messages vs sexual abuse make the punishment fit the crime in jenus case at worst sack him from The One Show and give him a dressing down about his unprofessional conduct and not to bring his personal life into his job that's it this happens to him yet Jimmy Savile was able to get a paycheck from the BBC For decades despite his far more horrifying behaviour Hugh Edwards was more recent not as horrifying as Savile but still kept getting a paycheck when he was suspended by the BBC they have set a president by acting like grown woman's feelings are more important then the health and safety of young children

I am all for the BBC becoming a defender of conservative morals, but they need to have an absolute clear out at the corporation to make anyone believe that is truly the case. Sacking one pundit for sexting isn't going to make anyone forget that they covered up for Saville or Edwards (that we know of) and that nobody involved in either of those scandals has been named or fired.

I left home at 17, and from the very first day I bought a TV I refused to give licencing any of my personal details.
I have remained completely anonymous.
I have NEVER paid for a TV licence, and I have NEVER had a knock at my door from 'The Goons'.
The mistake nearly everyone makes is being scared into giving away their details...DON'T DO IT.
If they know nothing about you...they CAN'T touch you.

As a married man, Jermaine Jenas should not have sent inappropriate texts to female members of staff. He has clearly let his family down. Perhaps a fine and warning about his future conduct would have been more relevant. The BBC has clearly scapegoated Jenas, following recent scandals involving former newscaster Huw Edwards and Strictly Come Dancing. Food for thought, huh?

In any industry or work place environment Jenas would have faced disciplinary action and quite possibly the sack .Every organisation has policies in place to protect staff - all staff- from unwanted sexual advances , be they face to face or via text .
The issue is that he occasionally fronted a woke programme (The One Show) pretending to be all woke himself when he was actually anything but and his true colours appeared when he obviously couldn’t control his sexual urges towards female colleagues! How to destroy a comfortable lifestyle and loving family in one fell swoop! 🤨

If this is between two consenting adults there's no issue whatsoever. I know I am not the only person to have women send pics or messages without any encouragement whatsoever when navigating the dating scene. I wasn't offended, it fact my ass would be out that night meeting up.

I've got a different perspective. I've had a married man coerced into a sexual relationship I didn't want. He bragged about having sex with his colleagues, drug addicts and even men.

Im really lucky in that i work in an office where so far if i need to send an email/ zoom call/ chase. up paperwork etc ive managed to do so without being sexually explicit to my colleagues.

The BBC is at fault. I don't know who selects their presenters but I would suggest they should look very closely at their vetting procedures. The BBC and the Post office are 2 national organisations with very little oversight and where if you know someone in the organisations there is a good chance they will offer you a job.
