  • I am so eccited to be the part of 75 COLLECTIVE happening this weekend & next weekend. I am very happy to share our Sashiko work there.
    +++++
    Sorry for the lousy video filming & English. I decided to make it public instead of keep filming & editing. I would rather to tell you in time than being perfect :D
    This is the Sashiko story Volume.4.
    I wanted to share my drive for sharing & teaching Sashiko after spending stitching time together with my mother.
    It is my pleasure to meet anyone who is interested in Sashiko & who may appreciate the tradition of Sashiko. The last chance of the face to face workshop is on December 8th and 9th in 2018.

    The script & detail of this story is (will be) available on our website, upcyclestitches.com

    ブラックフライデーセールにかぶり付いて、8年ぶりにカメラを買い替えました。画質の良い映像で自分を観ると、とんでもない違和感がありますが、今後はガンガンと前面に出ていこうかと思います。
    ガシェットの進化は凄いですな〜。
    今回のストーリーは、「僕が刺し子を伝えようとする原動力」です。日本語の配信では毎回言っていることなので、敢えて日本語では作る予定はございません。日本語でのストーリーをご希望の方がいたら、是非コメント欄にて、聞きたいことのトピックを教えて頂けると助かります。
    っていうか、でも、普通に配信で質問してもらった方が早いけどさ。

    Do not worry about your English. I am grateful that you take the time to present you information in my native language.

    You are too hard on yourself Atushi (I hope I have spelled your name correctly, please forgive me if it is not correct), your English is excellent and your delivery is clear and sincere.
    Most of us don’t appreciate the basic hard work of our parents and grandparents while we are young. Life teaches us that over time. I am glad for you that you have come to enjoy a skill that your family have developed over the years.

    It’s a very honourable and worthwhile mission to have and I love your videos. I’m hooked on sashiko, I still haven’t moved beyond the plain lines of running stitches but I find it unbelievably relaxing and meditative and my stitches are becoming really even from all the practice! I’m turning all my practice swatches into little mats and patches on torn clothes and I absolutely love what a simple and effective way to mend clothes it is. Your videos are lovely to listen to while I cook or stitch!

    I just discovered your channel and it's amazing. I really love learning sashiko thanks to your videos, I love fashion and I want to start my own brand and maybe incorporate sashiko in it.

      Thank you for finding us. It is one of the biggest challange for us to spread around our channel because we prefer to spend our limited budget on actual "production."
      It would be great to see your brand with some Sashiko on it. Share it with us when it happens!
