RECIPE:
Ingredients:
1 Green bell pepper
1/2 to 1lb of lean beef
Ginger
1 cup mushrooms
1 yellow onion
Soy sauce
1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
2 tbsp vegetable oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Prepare your ingredients. Slice onion into thin slices. Slice green bell pepper into thin slices. Slice mushrooms into thin slices. Slice beef into thin slices.
In a pan over medium high heat add your oil and scoop in your ginger. Cook for 30 seconds until the fragrances begin to full emit. Add your beef in and stir fry together until beef is fully browned on both sides. Remove beef and ginger from the pan leaving as much oil behind. Add in all your veggies and stir fry until fully softened. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Add your beef and ginger back in, add in soy sauce to taste and oyster sauce and stir until fully incorporated. Serve hot!

Here's an idea for Cowboy Bebop; In episode 17 (I believe it was called Mushroom Samba) at the end of the episode, you should make Shiitake Stir Fired, Shiitake Stew, Shiitake Salad, and Shiitake on ice.

My mom and I made this for dinner tonight and it turned out delicious. I think we didn't spread the olive oil enough because the ginger was sticking to the pan (or is that just the ginger?) We found that 1 tbsp of soy sauce was perfect for us. We added snowpeas to ours and still felt like the ratio of vegetable to beef was too low. Next time, we'll probably add more onion and bell pepper.
I’d love to see Mama Wong’s favorite holiday meals; the meals she takes time to make for when families get together. I am especially interested in Chinese holiday meals :)

I'm glad someone else feels that way and said it instead of what I've been doing and quietly watching, feeling like trash for not thinking the pretentious recipes are "normal."
They aren't pretentious though lmao, just a bit more expensive, just because they are a tad above the cost of what people normally eat doesnt make it inaccessible on special occasions.
😏 Maybe the Bebop crew shoulda watched Binging with Banish. He made "beef" from beets. 🤔 What's a pretentious ingredient anyway?
