This is going to be a great SP restore, plus give points with Confidants. I think that the curry in the game gives SP to everyone, which is sweet-- the whole party shares some curry.
I’ve had that previously mentioned card for this recipe saved for a long time, but never got around to making it, so in a way, watching this video feels like I missed the deadline to do it on my own. However, that feeling is largely overshadowed by my happiness at seeing the recipe from my favorite game get the attention it deserves, so thanks 😊
My favorite part of the game is that Sojiro will give you curry improvement/variation suggestions as you work to make curry, and they actually work really well in real life. Adding coffee or honey or ketchup changes the overall taste and can make it a fresh experience
I can see how Sojiro attract customers with his amazing curry. Just a bit sad that we didn't get to try out curry with apple/steak sauce/yohgurt/chocolate/coffee/honey/and something I don't remember but definitely was on Sojiro's advice.
Here I am finally playing Persona 5 Royal while trying to clear my backlog of games and this comes out while I’m in the middle of the 3rd palace?! Now I want to take a break and make the curry while I have Beneath the Mask playing on repeat. 🤣
i really hope you’re playing persona 5 royal and not the original, cuz you miss out on extra characters, areas, and an entire palace and area of mementos if not
Just made an altered version of this and loved it, thanks for the inspiration!! The apple was a great add and so was the instant coffee and chocolate. Some of the differences: beef stock not water, no boullion, add sweet potato with carrots, brown sugar since I was out of honey, added more garlic with the onions. It’s so delicious thanks so much!!!!
The flavour is comforting, like coming back to the café after a hard boss fight or major plot development and hearing "Oh, you're back..." as Beneath the Mask starts to play...
i love how he took the extra step to add all the ingredients thatare only mwntioned if you make curry lots of times to make it authentic as opposed to whatever would taste best
One of the most interesting things about Japanese curry to me is the direct inspiration from South Asian cooking with a little bit of British influence on top of the Japanese twist. This recipe reminds me a bit of Pakistani nihari but with different ingredients in particular the vegetables and especially the apples
Playing Persona 5 Royal currently, has a speial place in my heart during homelessness. Now it will also have a special place in my tastebuds and stomach.
Watching someone make curry (any type) makes me miss living in Djibouti. As odd as it might sound, I had the best Indian food there, and learned so much about curries (collection of spices), preparation for others, and finding joy in serving others.
Absolutely loved your video on making the Leblanc Curry from Persona 5, Arcade with Alvin! 🍛🎮 The way you broke down the recipe and added that personal touch really made it enjoyable to watch and learn. Now I can bring a taste of the game into my own kitchen. Keep up the fantastic work and looking forward to trying out more of your recipes and game-related content! 👏👍
My dad and I LOVE Persona 5 and cooking, so we've been looking at fan made recipes for the LeBlanc curry for a while, and honestly, after making the 'official' version for the first time I think I prefer the fan made one we found- I hope your official curry tasted better than ours!
FINALLY! THE CURRY REPICE! I think tho the official recipe card mentions it should be only ONE of the secret ingredients not all of it lol Regardless thank you Alvin!
I remember I was wanting to do a series where I make every dish from Persona 5 strikers and taste how it tastes, the game is set on a road trip so it's all very cultural food. But I didn't have the money or the resources to make all of that food, especially since there's no Asian grocery store near me.
I always think of lilo and stitch whenever Kona coffee gets mentioned. I love getting to see it with Leblanc curry, the crossover I didn’t know I needed
As a suggestion for tools, I would recommend getting a Mandolin with finger guard and interchangeable blades. Not only is it great for slices but there are some with shredding blades that makes grating carrots and other fruits and vegies faster and less hazardous. I purchased a cheap one off of amazon and even if one of the blades warped (dishwasher safe but no high temp scrub lesson learned) it was one of the best purchases I ever made.
I've been waiting for this! Thanks so much for finally featuring this dish. Persona 5 is my comfort game that helped me reach closure after I lost a dear relative to the prison system, and Japanese curry has always been one of my favourite dishes.
"Let me explain" was perfect. Well done, I can't wait to try this one.
The fact that you KNOW he's played the game just by the "let me explain" Sojiro says makes this recipe feel so much more genuine
Only thing he is missing is that 7 spice blend
Ahahahahahaha 😂
He actually did it
Finally ! 😄
Did what😂
Yeah finally
Can you believe it? He finally did the thing. He thing the the thing he thing when thing is thing
@@MrBlackopsnzthe Leblanc curry from Persona 5
That explains why the boss didn't want Joker's spicy curry to be eaten by Futaba, and the "comforting" aspect might be why she likes it so much.
IIRC, wasn't Futaba's mom the one who created the LeBlanc curry recipe?

Nothing like the curry and coffee I made like two months ago to prepare my party for the boss.
Sojiro is definitely one of the best confidants
@@ladynikkieI love coffee dad
@thomasrodriguez5876bad take..he was great from beginning to end
As a massive Persona fan, I can safely say that this is one recipe that I genuinely do want to make. Thank you so much for this Alvin!
You can tell how much of a fan he is _just_ by how he said "Let me explain!".

Go make your dang curry!

It's about time this gets the Alvin treatment! Thank you so much for doing it.
Literally started the game last week and already 40+ hr in. Loving it.
Have fun!
I finished this game back in middle school and its my favourite game
I got to know, Royal or OG? Because depending on which one you're 40 hours in you're going to have an arguably drastic difference
@@mixedbaggamer og. I'm currently on the pyrmid Palace atm. It's was on sale so I thought I try it out. Is there much difference between the 2?
@@Alexthemeh4214theres plenty of qol changes in royal like the gun reloading after battle, and theres also a new palace

afaik, chopped apple fruit is common to be used in Japanese style home curry.
I finished p5r last week, so happy to see Alvin tackling curry dads curry.

So glad you did this, I love this game and always wanted to make the Leblanc curry
I've spent way too much time playing P5 and didn't realize there was a canon recipe!! I can't wait to make this!
As a fan of Persona, I clicked on this SO Fast!
Thanks for doing this one
I love curry but I didn't know this recipe. looks delicious I will try it in the next few days. Thank you ❤

The wildest thing to me is making the onions in a separate pan. Honey and chocolate add ins sound interesting.
I have a suggestion for the next Arcade with Alvin!
Remy's "Tarte aux Fruits" from Kingdom Hearts 3!
FINALLY!!!!! I've been waiting for this since this series began
That was really cool to see the step of toasting your own flour and spice mixture. Gotta try that sometime soon. Looks amazing.
I made this recipe for my family and we all loved it!! It got absolutely devoured
I’ve been waiting for this recipe to happen on this channel for so long! Thank you for doing this!

FOR REAL?! Now I might try this recipe too to make it comforting at home!
Alvin would be the kind of guy to get chocolate from all the gals even though he never made a move on any of them
What a coincidence. I spent the majority of yesterday playing Persona 5 Royal.
I've made this once, quite a while ago now. It was pretty great! Really should get around to doing it again one day.
Great video! I definitely DIDN'T learn to make curry specifically because of this game...
