Just started watching Australian Survivor and just watched his vote out episode. I just once wanted Russell to make it on the jury because he would be hilarious. Oh well, don't think we'll ever see that unless he drastically changes his play style.
Not sure how he expects to ever do well on Survivor again when he deploys the same "intimidate a pretty girl" strategy that's either cost him a win or making it to merge multiple times.
@@ElectrikkPaperClipxx they dont really survive, is the answer, and maybe im wrong but i swear most people in this seasondidnt even play a good/proper game
The problem I had with Russell being on Australian Survivor is no one knew who he was, because all the American seasons he was on was shown at like 11:30pm on a Tuesday night here in Australia.
Actually Australians know who Russell was, I lived in Australia from 2011 to 2015 and Survivor, the American TV show, used to run on air so Australians were actually familiar with the players of the American TV series. Being that said, I don't know what you are talking about, specially when you watch this season of Australian survivor and you notice that the Australian players do know who Russell is and why they decide to get rid of him as fast as they can.
In my opinion, there are two main aspects of survivor that makes a great player. Strategic game, and social game. Russell was ahead of his time in terms of strategic gameplay but can’t seem to comprehend that social game plays the part of who wins. It’s very possible he could have won back to back US seasons if he had built relationships with the jury. But he is under the strange belief that the jury *has* to vote for the person who played the best game. It will forever be his downfall as he now has the reputation of being such a devious player
I’d say in his prime he was easily a top 3 player of all time. He should have absolutely won his first season and deserves more recognition for being a runner up in Heroes vs Villains.
Russell has the unusual distinction of having played four times and never being on the jury. Until recently Sandra and Boston Rob were I believe the only other people who achieved this “feat” although Rob ended up on the jury in S40
Yes he would’ve survived that tribal, but he would’ve been gone the next tribal. Hell his tribe could’ve thrown the next challenge like in Redemption Island just to get him out right away. The only move he had was hope he swayed them and keep his idol
Russell, I know you’re reading this so hears a free tidbit for you that you’re not going to use: It’s harder to manipulate someone when they know that they’re being manipulated.
Everyone Russell hates, wins the game. He hated Sandra, then boom Sandra won. He hated Shane, then boom, Shane won. He is such a blessing. I would love to play survivour with Russell and pray that he hates me because, that's is a direct $1M win for me
Mina Gee He’s not a champion of losing, he is the best player ever. If you watched his first season, you would know that he definitely deserved his win. If you lost 1,000,000 dollars to a goat, you’d be pissed as well
@@gotomymostpopularvideo3235 Bruh. You can''t actually make it to the end twice and not come anywhere close to winning either time and still be considered the best player. He's very skilled and could be the best in finding idols and strategically manipulating people, but his challenge performances are just average, his social game is ridiculously bad, and his jury management is probably even worse.
LMAO Russell thought he was the one playing everyone else, but *he* was the one who got played! He said that people all wanted to be in an alliance with him once he showed them the idol, but it's very clear now that *a majority* of them were clearly *pretending* to be in an alliance with him, making him falsely believe he was in control, and then voted him out (because let's be clear, if they're sure he's gonna play the idol, they don't vote for him and risk themselves going home. No, if you're sure someone is going to play an idol, you vote for someone else- almost surely an ally of that person. They obviously voted for him because they were confident he wouldn't play it, because they had brilliantly laid the groundwork for him to think he didn't need to)! No, they knew what they were doing. They were making him *think* he was the one running the show, feeding right into his belief, and then voted him out! And they did it *the right way* (they didn't throw a challenge to get rid of him), and the end result is that four of the final five were *their* members. And most important of all, the winner *and* runner-up (and third place for good measure) were members of their tribe! Russell thought he was the master of this game, but he got schooled by *true* champions (in Survivor *and* outside of Survivor! Congratulations to Olympic Gold Medalist *and* Survivor Champion, Shane Gold)!
Samoa was by far his best game(bar jury management). He made quite a few mistakes in HvV and RI as well. The only difference is that in HvV, his mistakes were covered by Parvati or the Heroes being even bigger dumbasses. RI and Aus Survivor, his mistakes got punished as there was no one to cover it, and they were fed up off him
I can't even finish this. I'm cringing every. Single. Second. But when I found out that he was voted out, I immediately went there like, seriously. Hahahaha
The fact this guy was one vote away from staying is pretty crazy. But yeah, its the same showing every time, and by now everyone can see it coming, hence why they feel like they have to vote him out
Monika becoming 5th or something and out lasting like 90% of them just fills my soul with happiness. Shonee, Monika and Fenela should be back on the same tribe.
For some reason when he found the idol I just though that production told him where it was and I still think that! I think that because I think that production wanted the show to be more exciting and suspenseful!
CHANNEL MUD Yeah it did seem a bit suspicious, if you go to his podcast RUclips channel (and i think there is a few videos on his main account to about it to) he reveals all the dirty truths that are on Australian survivor.
Russell needs a pinch hitter for his social game and jury management. Maybe if they do survivor pairs where if either of your teammates win you win, he could win, but he'll never win on his own.

This video was longer than his time in the jungle lol. I remember this was one of the most satisfying moments of AU Survivor. He was hard to stomach
Monica is just a pretty face, Poor thing. That killed me🤣
He should've played the idol, if not for the fact it would have made the show more interesting for at least 1 more episode
He probably woulda Found another one and another and so on.
Although he was cocky I wanted to see what he was capable of in this season
Spider Fury Justice?
When he lost, he whined about this version being fake.
He's right that's not real survivor
EnglishMuthaFucka what’s fake about this exactly, as opposed to him being buttmad that he was second boot again?
ElectrikkPaperClipxx they have bathrooms and non boiled water
@@ElectrikkPaperClipxx they dont really survive, is the answer, and maybe im wrong but i swear most people in this seasondidnt even play a good/proper game
Ben Allen does that change the fact that the aussies cancelled his ass without throwing a challenge this time?
You gotta love Russell, I love him so much. xd
He still thinks he’s first person to find an idol without a clue in survivor history. Very first idol in Guatemala: Gary found it without a clue
I’ll never understand how people back him in saying he’s the best to ever play the game
he is he is a evil genius but his social game is ass
XWE PODCAST That’s a big flaw in someone’s game so he’s not the best. He’s definitely top 5 tho
I’d say in his prime he was easily a top 3 player of all time. He should have absolutely won his first season and deserves more recognition for being a runner up in Heroes vs Villains.
in his first 2 seasons he was an amazing player but after that he got over cocky
hockeysong I mean he’s always been cocky 😂 but so have a lot of really good players.
Russell has the unusual distinction of having played four times and never being on the jury. Until recently Sandra and Boston Rob were I believe the only other people who achieved this “feat” although Rob ended up on the jury in S40
Rob on the jury is due to the design of the game
“My best move was not playing it” but you’d still be in the game bud
Yes he would’ve survived that tribal, but he would’ve been gone the next tribal. Hell his tribe could’ve thrown the next challenge like in Redemption Island just to get him out right away. The only move he had was hope he swayed them and keep his idol
5:26 When Russell said that it was over
I wish he could have made it to the end but he should have played his idol
Russell Hantz is one of the best players ever but he's a pure villain. Would hate playing against him & is way too mean sometimes.
Is Russell allergic to learning from his mistakes?
It would be cool if Richard Hatch would appear on the Australian Survivor Showing his original gameplay on how to win the game
Russell, I know you’re reading this so hears a free tidbit for you that you’re not going to use: It’s harder to manipulate someone when they know that they’re being manipulated.
Man russel is entertaining
Everyone Russell hates, wins the game. He hated Sandra, then boom Sandra won. He hated Shane, then boom, Shane won. He is such a blessing. I would love to play survivour with Russell and pray that he hates me because, that's is a direct $1M win for me
He hated Boston Rob in heroes vs villains and then Boston Rob won redemption island.
"They starting off a little slow". Russell is made for Survivor 😂
This is Shaq in a Cavs jersey Jerry Rice in a Seahawks jersey type of energy here
Yeah
More like Ye in a NASA jacket.
Russel Hantz- A champion of losing consistently and being a poor sport about it because he lacks self awareness.
@@roryodonnell4119 i would believe that if he didnt crap on Sandra for the millionth time.
@@gotomymostpopularvideo3235 he is objectively not the best player
Matthew Enriquez He actually was pretty close in samoa if you watched the episode
Congratulations to Olympic Gold Medalist *and* Survivor Champion, Shane Gold)!
he is great TV and what he can do in the game is amazing at times but he made so many mistakes in this season
Samoa was by far his best game(bar jury management). He made quite a few mistakes in HvV and RI as well. The only difference is that in HvV, his mistakes were covered by Parvati or the Heroes being even bigger dumbasses. RI and Aus Survivor, his mistakes got punished as there was no one to cover it, and they were fed up off him
Really glad we could have Russell on to insult everyone and be cruel while also being horrible at the game. Inspired casting choice.
That ring move was Tony's game changer rock strategy that he didnt get to use
As soon as you expose your idol you might as well play it! Tsk Tsk would have wanted to see him stay longer
I can't even finish this. I'm cringing every. Single. Second.
But when I found out that he was voted out, I immediately went there like, seriously. Hahahaha
He got roasted so much in this season hahahha what a bloke
The fact this guy was one vote away from staying is pretty crazy. But yeah, its the same showing every time, and by now everyone can see it coming, hence why they feel like they have to vote him out
Dude went from saving himself with multiple idols to keeping them for himself
Just watched this moment and cheered so hard when he went out, what an absolute arrogant tool 😂
Monika becoming 5th or something and out lasting like 90% of them just fills my soul with happiness.
Shonee, Monika and Fenela should be back on the same tribe.
It makes me really sad knowing how production and this tribe treated him after the show for anyone curious look up Russell’s podcast on the show
TheGrayLink He still chocked. He is just complaining. If production doesn’t like him he must of done something :/
Mario Reality Shows 2 like I said look up his podcast and yeah I agree with you he played to hard and to fast
He’s just a sore loser
That’s if he’s telling the truth....
He did it to himself
Russel was 2nd, 3rd, 4th.
And now he was 2nd!
Voted out
For some reason when he found the idol I just though that production told him where it was and I still think that!
No he just finds idol normally!
He watches the camera person and they indirectly show him where he should be looking
The only greatest player who has never won once.
Russell needs a pinch hitter for his social game and jury management. Maybe if they do survivor pairs where if either of your teammates win you win, he could win, but he'll never win on his own.
Russell Hantz is my favorite player, hands down... but admittedly, he came into this season (Attempt number 4) way to Cocky! Sad to say, since I wanted him to do well in Champions vs Contenders. And I'm still wanting him to come back again for another USA Survivor season. Lol
He’s managed to do worse every time. Last time he played he was 3rd out. This time he was 2nd out. It’s nearly impossible to do any worse, but if he’s first boot on his next season it’d be insane
@@airhawkey He went: 2nd Place, 3rd Place, 3rd person voted out (2nd person to get fully eliminated, due to Redemption Island), then 2nd person voted out!
Smart play would've been to lay low and play up the "I'm old now" card but being a 4'9 midget along with being a 3x loser he's got a chip on his shoulder.
well for champions and contenders season i would say Zach and Jackie was much worse than Russell although RUssell did shit and got 2nd boot
@@thefirespecialist9007 Redemption Island vote off for Russell was unfair tbh they threw on purpose
russel is a menace 😂
He’s such a narcissist. It’s the reason he always loses. If he would just cool it, he might win.
Ethan Snider I think it’s too late for him now. His reputation precedes him
Tone it down like Tony Vlachos in WaW
Dexter Angelcyk he’s definitely a narcissist. He can never be wrong in his mind. It’s been 10 years and he still talks about how he should have won.
People are saying why didn't he win any season, winning is not up to the players making to the end is what they can do.but winning part is up to the jury
Just watched the survivor version of the Titanic sinking. Such hubris.
He’s great tv, but I can’t imagine him being easy to be around in a game like this.
Some of them didnt even know who he was. He could've started fresh. But oh no, here comes the ego.
Why the fact do they keep on splicing his voice lines together?!
Classic Russell: If anyone else had been voted off with an idol on their neck, he would make a video about how stupid they were and his "we love the bad guy" followers would eat it up and sing his praises...because he did it, it was a good move...
I wished they should the other contestants confessions about Russell Hantz.
Next time I expect Russel to play a lot differently
If he plays again
On his RUclips channel he says he wants to play again and that he’ll play a lot differently
As a rule.... us Aussies don't do cocky attitudes well.
One decade later and he’s still attempting the “dumbass girls alliance”🤦♂️
I liked the part where he didn’t play his idol
Russell: "My best move was not to play the idol." Um.. your best move was to play the idol. He had a huge target on his back. 🎯 but his ego told him he was safe! 🙃
Samoa: 2nd place
Heroes vs Villains: 3rd place
Redemption Island: 3rd voted out
Survivor Australia Edition: 2nd voted out
Russel: "I am the best player
Sandra: *u sure about that?*
Russell just cannot stop talking about Russell
Sometimes i just wanna give this man a huge kiss for all the good moments he gives on this tv show
Survivor USA Super Player
Love Russel but I think his best move would’ve been to play it LMFAO
Agreed he should have played the idol it was dumb he didn't play it tho
He didnt stand a chance. He probably had the biggest target on him in the history of survivor
And worst gameplay.
@@IronMuffin89 honestly he did better than Zach and Jackie even if he was 2nd boot
the champions called his bluff
Very weird hearing him allowed to say "up shit creek" under different censoring standards

Sam apparently production made him say a lot of the stuff to.

The gnome says hes the best and cant win shit
I hope they bring him back for Australian vs USA season
Russell refuses to go on Australian Survivor as he doesn't believe it's real Survivor

Rusell a great player but if he plays againg he is going home early i know he talk about returning in a legend season but aint no one wanna work with him unless you wanna be his follower and he will be the biggest threat by far on a legend season unless tony or rob are there.
Greatest player ever but needs to participate 1000 times in Survivor who he can get a chance..... same as Boston Rob
Feels bad
I mean he wasn’t wrong for trying to getting Shane out since she won this season 🤷🏽♂️, but he should’ve known that they knew who he was and he should’ve played his idol.
