Anyone that can open up like that on a public platform has to be admired.. absolute respect from me.
Please remember to like & subscribe to the channel, so we can keep sharing stories with incredible & interesting people - Good Health 🙏🏼
💯 mate.
All of them won't charge a family gping to great ormond street either. Top guys.
My old man had a heart attack in Moorgate and black cabby got him up up to Bethnal Green hospital prob saved his life and refused payment as well ever since I always use cabs when in town so important we protect them as more than just taxi part of the fabric of London
Haha 😂 like some normal geezer wouldn’t do that ! Your ducking delusional son
I should think so too.
@@ricksterk7014 haha a crack head would have done the same
@@shsh-he5qg guess it was just a normal geezer that’s kind of the point. Unfortunately not everyone is the same and London can be a cold place for too many it’s easier to look to the floor rather than disrupt their day
A dnt think this happend it would of took fuking ages he would of decomposed before he got there. 😂
In the chaos of the Grenfell Tower fire, firefighters' fire engines were unable to leave the scene, and firefighters could not return to their fire stations when going off duty. Black cabbies transported devastated firefighters back to their stations across the capital FOR NO CHARGE.
It’s always no charge from us London cabbies when emergency situations happen. ❤
What an absolute fkin legend of a fella. Shame the world didn't have more like him.
Black cabbies looked after my Granda & his pals every armictice sunday free of charge for decades on their trips to the Cenotaph from Euston until he passed in 2019 - Many thanks
Been to Aaron’s shows and bought the T-Shirt. 🤣 Don’t matter how high this journey takes him, it will not be high enough. Salt of the earth geezer and special individual. ❤️ great interview Liam
Mad Respect for Aaron, especially to open up like that about something so close. ❤
My dad was a black cabbie for 47 years, and he retired about 10 years ago. He was the cabbie that Tommy Cooper put a little brown envelope into Dad's shirt pocket and said, "Have a drink on me, cabbie. "..
My old man opened it and it was a tea bag.
He picked up Princess Diana a few times, Brian Moore, Eric Morecombe, kicked Kyle Minogue out because she was so drunk and mouthy with her hubby, picked up Clint Eastwood and John Cleese in the same week.
He asked Clint for an autograph, and Clint said, "I'll shake your hand, don't do autographs."
Timothy Spall, Spike Milligan. These are the ones I can recall.
He found a huge bag of jewellery and brought it home. It was like an Addidas sports bag full... he handed it in, and it turned was it was from a hotel room robbery of Liz Taylor she never even gave him a thank you.
I enjoyed reading that ,hope your dads enjoying retirement 👍
My dad has a touch of that bastard dementia.
He dunno what he had for breakfast but he'll know Heathow to London Wall in a heartbeat
My Dad was best friends with Frank Sinatra and was best man at Oliver Reeds wedding. 🙄
What a lovely memories 🤍
@@NH-bz9jv bollox was he. That was my old man and he didn't have any bastard sons 🤣😂
decades ago, I drove a Yellow Cab out of Greenwich, South London. These were black cabs painted yellow, but were actually minicabs. The black cab community was up in arms about it. I remember being chased by group of cabs near Little Venice, the same along the Embankment, and a black cab tried to run me into some roadworks along the Old Kent Road. One day, I was parked up in Greenwich, when a black cab pulled up behind and the driver got out and came towards me. He tapped on my window and I pulled it down, expecting some hassle. He had tears in his eyes, saying, 'mate, this was my first cab, I can't believe it's still going, do you mind if I have a sit down in it? It was a 1972 Austin taxi. He was in the driver's seat, reminiscing, and I was leaning on the door window listening, when a car load of police turned up, thinking there was some trouble! 😂
Always use black cabs. Thanks for getting me home safely
Liam, I wish I had your mentality and your energy. I am in such a dark place at the moment. I just can't get myself out of no matter how much i try. When I watch your videos, it makes me forget and laugh just for that little bit, so thank you.
It was hard listening to him talk about his mum, especially because I lost my mum at the end of February. The pain is unbearable ❤💔
Keep believing things will improve and persevere with self development, feed word mind with kind words, exercise as often as you can and avoid anything that gives you a crash / dip…. Don’t give up 💪🏼
@LiamTuffs Nice one for your advance it's appreciated. I will be giving it a go. Hopefully, I'll get through this. I've got a family who needs me
I know this much your mum will be always be with you and shes definitely super proud. Wishing you all the success and happiness possible. Liam what a Gentleman he is, just like yourself, hope there's a part 2❤❤
My Daughter's always use Black Taxis, They support them whole heartedly because Their Dad is a Black Taxi cab driver, took him 3years to do his knowledge on a moped.❤
This cabbie came up on ‘recommended for me’ a few months back. Been watching him ever since. Really enjoy his material. I agree with him on lots of stuff.
Been watching his videos for a while now.
Top geezer!
Sincere condolences for the loss of your Mum Aaron.
Black cabbies, Red Route-Master Buses, Red Telephone boxes, bring London back!!
Fantastic Aaron, 😢 brought it all back, A woman of such courage, bless her xxx Proud without a doubt. X
Your mum will be very proud xxx
There's a TAXI war brewing here in Blackpool between the established drivers and the 'other mob'
My dad was a cab driver back in the day, everyone knew my dad, when he'd had enough of driving he went into the office working as a radio operator, he worked for em all and was massively respected. It was a different game then, up and down the prom "a pound a lump to the Tower or the Pleasure Beach". His fellow drivers were salt of the earth, proper honest hard working guys.
His partener Brian refused a fair at a Political Party Conference, a guy was getting in the cab with his dog "your'e not getting in this cab pal it's just been valeted" Imperial Hotel driver thank you "i said you're not getting in here with that dog get the one behind" - "Do you know who i am ? i'll have you're badge" it was only David Blunkett, he got another cab 🤣 and Brian was never gonna lose his badge 🤣🤣
Great conversation guys.
Blackpool Private hire drivers are stupid, I have a Manchester private hire vehicle, took my kids (4 and 2) last week only to be “followed” by a private hire driver, I pulled to the side on the promenade 16:55 and the driver pulled next to me and started to give me a “lecture” over where my stickers were, tried to explain look at my kids and now you can F off, what amazed me more than him being blind and stupid, he worked for Wolverhampton 😂😂😂 wtf is going on life
What an amazing interview that was , I absolutely love it , thanks for for sharing, sending love from Bonnie Scotland ❤️🏴
I loved this!! I've watch every one you've posted... love them all!!
I rarely press the 'like' button tho which I need to consciously make a effort to do more to support your channel .. but I listen in bed with the lights off all cozy on bed. And listen intently.
What a way to end the day 💥 .x.
Two great legends … great listen for sure … defo need a part two 👌🏻
Nice to see someone be honest say how it is and also touch with reality of life.
Had the pleasure of meeting Aaron as a fellow London taxi driver one day at the taxi feder park at Heathrow and seemed a very nice person🙏🏼
This guy is a character, like him very much
Lost loved ones are always by our side, watching over and guiding us through the challenging times. Great episode Mr Liam sir ✌🏽
brilliant podcast liam, what a decent honest hard working man he is, up the black cabbies
I have never cried & laughed so much in one sitting.
I can totally relate to what this man went through with the knowledge, im doing it here in Dublin! Not half as bad as London doh😮
Im so sorry about your mam ❤😢
Your mothers strength came out of pure love, trust me the gingers are special i have 2 and i am one myself 😅
Liam, your podcasts are getting better and better 🎉
❤
My dad was a London taxi driver make no mistake the knowledge is one hard nut to crack you have to memorise 25000 streets and know all the points of interest and all the one way systems and no entry’s and one way streets everything. Extremely tough and difficult to do
And you have to ensure that you are taking the fastest route, too. None of the other cabs that are using GPS apps😂 do that. They take you the long way too.
Earning upwards of 80k a year, I think i would have memorised all the roads.
You don’t need to memorise 25.000 roads as the knowledge is London borough
@@vaulthunter6961they don’t earn 80k
@@CesarCastillo-vo4vdit's 25000 points of interest, not 25000 streets.
This fella needs his own app I would use this geeza every single time.
When i opened up the app, and this was the first video, i felt deep joy. I'm well chuffed for you, mate, and there was absolutely no way this was going to be saved in watch later. 👊🏻
Apple through a tennis racket.. stop it.. 🤣🤣🤣… xxx
Man thought he could give the police money 🤣🤣🤣.
& got angry when they said no
I know. What a Wally. 😂
Black cabbies are always nice I remember I got had 12 quid on me amd I was lost in Liverpool Street and had to get to old kent road asking for ditectionsas i didn't have a lot of money on me and he said jump in mate and I said ut 12 quid okay and he said yes of course as they as your home sfafty is normally more but as long you you get home safety that all that matter couldn't thanks him enough
@CrazyGingerCabbie as soon as you mention Hyde Park I think I know who your on about is it cyclist mikey may I ask he a right C*** but brilliant podcast mate
What an opening 😂🙌
Up the Johns best bloke on the internet 😂😂😂😂
Great Interview. Top man. Up the Cabbies ❤
Such good questions from Liam, he literally asks just what I am thinking
Brilliant !!! thanks chaps.
Absolute class interview, I’d love to write you an email about how much that interview touched me personally, many similar life experiences, my old man was a cabbie sadly passed Xmas day 2020 (could tell you some funny Uber stories) think we are from similar areas (Essex, east London) and that was the best podcast I have seen this year. Have massive respect for you and also having stuff like this in the public domain and representing the black cab trade (I gave up) didn’t have it in me, biggest regret I have although I can still call Manor House station to Gibson road. Honestly best thing you’ve done and spoke like a proper person. You deserve every success in the world.
Be lucky…
Up the johns.. ❤ what a brilliant episode.. what a guy Aaron is.. xxx

Only recently I saw a convoy of you guys on remembrance day fp to you all. Tradition is important in this country and sadly we are loosing it.

Lovely interview proud brave man, stay strong 😇😇
About six years ago had a nightmare trip in black cab cos bad traffic. The cab driver would NOT take a tip from me. He wished us well and told us to get on our way. Top fella. That one act means that I will only ever use a black taxi in London.❤

Awesome interview!
Just brilliant!
Uber are shocking. Black cab drivers the safest out there.
Rubbish.. the most prolific rapist was a black cab driver..
Just your use of language tells what you’re all about? What you describe is how the black cabbie industry use to be.. as London becomes more diverse so has the the Hackney Carriage.
Great interview Liam really enjoyed this and how you interview.
Ginger beard top man and keep up the goid work
Great episode, the man’s a credit to the trade 👊🏾

Love that real talk.
Another Amazing Podcast Liam, Great Stories by Ginger Cabbie.
Go on John.. Good on you mate. And F Tarquin and Tabetha 😂
The look in Tuffs eye when he says he's got a black card for the chicken place 🤣🤣 pure jealousy 🤭
this just reminded me how hard the knowledge must be, I'd never be able to remember all that lol
Great watch this, followed Ginge for time now
Great account and solid nice guy
Inspiration for a lot of us out there👊🏻
The black cabs in London are legendary! I would always get one of these over the Uber's if given the option.
i book a black cab from surrey in to london here and there when i need too if trains are up the creek, way better bunch, always arrive early for pick up, always polite, always safe. you got admires of the trade that are younger than 30 than that grew up with the older generation your forgetting about, although not all have the financial ability to just jump in black cabs when they want which is why it seems less in my opinion. certain points of this bought me to tears, fairly close to home story, love your interview skills.. as a cyclist/cycle courier i prefer the road than cycle lanes every day of the week if im in town i do 250 miles a week average on a single speed bike i witnessed the first few major cyclist deaths around elephant and up towards st pancreas station of cyclists vs 16 ton bulk trucks, deffo teaches you to stop at a damn red light, i hate commuter's on bikes with more passion than i should borris bikes are a different story god damn
Enjoyed this, different topic and interesting
This guy.. Love him. Shout out to the good cabbies.
I always say to them if they try to tell me I've gone the wrong way I always say " I know where I'm going that's the reason I'm driving and your in the back "
Sometimes a local will know their local area better. Also if they want you to go a longer way, let them do it 😂
