A lot of HK migrants, mostly Canadians, have done that. You can expect meeting a number of those returnees in Zhongshan and Zhaoqing. Don't wait. Every month you hesitate, it's a month less of enjoyment.

Jerry, the U.S. misinforms everyone in their own country about other countries. I am an Australian (Melbournian) who met some Americans on their first arrival in Australia back in 1999 who was told that we don't have washing machines, vacuum cleaners, television sets, radios, food processors, etc which resulted in those poor sods shipping all of their electrical appliances from the U.S. to this country - and discovering that they are unable to use them because of differences in electrical voltages, currents, fittings, etc and that they could actually BUY all that they need of the same products here! I didn't find out from them where they received their misinformation from as I was far too shocked to discover the level of nonsense they have been fed and was only too concerned in trying to assist them out of their dilemma.
All that nonsense and it was about a friendly country, imagine how much they know about adversarial countries (I should say countries they consider adversarial, because no country is USA's edversary if left alone)
Well, that is how the reporters in the U.S. make money and laugh all the way to the bank. If you want to be a reporter in the U.S. first learn how to lies to your parents, then your wife and children and on......

I love your takes on China. I'm a British born Hong Kong Chinese. I used to cycle in China with a missionary group back in the 90s. Lots of unpaved roads then. Seen all the development. Love China.

The title is "Watch a 57-Story Building Go Up in 19 Days | WSJ" - The skyscraper is part of the "Mini Sky City" project in Changsha. If Changsha is on Jerry's way, go take a look at that building.

Believe it or not, my dad is still around Margaret, he's 93 and still very much all there mentally, although a little less so physically, he's confined to bed nowadays. He is indeed quite proud - especially as, of the five sone he had, I was the worst performing at school but then went on, over my lifetime to have the highest tertiary qualifications in the family - I got my MA at 55 years old, which made him shake his head in wonder - I because a teacher and then a British Council Examiner which still makes him wonder how that happened because at school I was an undignosed dyslexic, now I"m a lot smarter than he thought I was :-))

Thanks, I'm not a holder as yet, still have some hoops to jump through but hope to be able to get it in about 6-8 months, that's the normal waiting time, I still need to arrange police checks from a couple of countries and once I have them in hand the entire application can be submitted
I'v seen this program before,it features foreigners living in China. This is how l learned about Linden Centre in Yunnan , actually there are a lot of foreigners living in China.

The short clips on the bike were during some pretty long spells, I suspect it was a short term fatigue then, rather than looking healthier now

Thanks, I'm not a holder as yet, still have some hoops to jump through but hope to be able to get it in about 6-8 months, that's the normal waiting time, I still need to arrange police checks from a couple of countries and once I have them in hand the entire application can be submitted
