About Royal Blood:
Brighton duo Royal Blood comprising drummer Ben Thatcher and bassist/vocalist Mike Kerr formed at the beginning of 2013. They quickly made their presence known, with pounding drums and heavily distorted bass guitar defining characteristics of their ferocious blues-rock sound. The band gained many plaudits early in their career, touring with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Iggy Pop and Foo Fighters, before going on to win Best British Group at the Brits in 2015 receiving their trophy from their musical hero and admirer Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.
Their catalogue boasts the Mercury Prize nominated self-titled debut album released in 2014 that spawned hits such as "Out of the Black, "Little Monster:, "Come On Over" and "Figure it Out", as well as their second successive UK number one album "How Did We Get So Dark?" released in 2017 which featured "Lights Out" and "I Only Lie When I Love You".

Typhoons is great, but the entire first album is a masterpiece.

This song is a good example of a song that you can listen over and over again, just like their album

I just realised that royal blood is only a 2 man band!?!
Yea, he's got some weird pedal thing to switch between guitar and bass I think... very clever.
It's just and octave pedal, it takes the sound and plays the same pitch an octave higher, you can still hear the original bass parts if you listen closely.
He splits the signal of the octave pedal to separate bass and guitar amps and he can cut out the bass with a tuning pedal. It's pretty simple it just takes a lot of gear and money to replicate.

This song is so good. Probably the best of the album. One of the best things about Royal Blood is the lyrica, and this proves it well. The guitar playing is awesome too.

***** Actually, it would've made sense in this context to use it in that way because in this case, a lot of people mistake the bass the singer is playing for a guitar, because it's made to sound like one. So yes, it would've made more sense to say "bass guitar" or "bass", no matter how incorrect you seem to think it sounds.

i just discovered them through their song how did we get so dark a few weeks ago, and ive recommended them to literally everyone!!! the skill to be a 2 man band and still make this good music is amazing. i love all their riffs, lyrics, beats, the whole thing! this is probably my favourite song of them (i love so many of them this was hard to choose)

My very first Royal Blood song. This is actually what turned me on to them. It started with this and then I listened to the rest of the album. At the time, I only liked a few tracks. But then I listened and listened. Case in point, It's one of my favorite albums and listen to it every day. Also, Royal Blood is one of my favorite bands now. I love pretty much every track. I have some merch. I've listened to every b-side.
