Bezos’ aim of making a huge space satellite with artificial gravity and with a city of people, is more in the realm of science fiction. Just to make this kind of satellite independent of external supplies with a well-balanced recycling of CO2 to O2 and back to CO2 is an unproven task. That’s not mentioning the task of having to transport literally a mountain of soil and the giga tonnage of building material into space which will be cost prohibitive for an unproven technical project. This unworkable mega satellite could turn out instead into the ultimate weapon of non-nuclear destructive weapon by simply dropping a mountain of metal and soil on an enemy country. And, can you imagine if this huge city-satellite blows up if it’s powered by nuclear reactors? There will be so much debris orbiting space, it would be impossible to launch spaceships and satellites thereafter. Bezos is more of a dreamer than an engineer.
On the other hand, Musk is working on his Martian City that can be truly independent, producing CH4 and O2 based on the abundance of CO2 and H2O found on Mars.

Congress because of COVID and the current financial situation decided to cut the HLS budget, so NASA adapted and could only give the contract to SpaceX, making those lawsuits baseless. This is confirmed by the chief engineer leaving and from reports of many BO employees considering doing so also, because they are not happy with the litigations.

A man who has money sees the truth and speaks on it, gets monetary gain from it and aims to get humanity onto the right track. He’s not a saint, certainly not. His wife lies about his Tesla company to try and make digs about child labor used for other cars when Tesla does the exact same thing. But he’s not running a monopoly over millions of heads, keeping his workers from pissing during a shift like Bezos. He’s not an obvious enemy to the common man, for the things he speaks of bring hope to those who believe with him that humanity has reached a pace which our resources can’t compete with. He might not do everything perfectly, or even good at all, but he knows what he’s doing. He knows how to get #1 in peoples hearts, such as the government and nasa, because if anyone will get humanity to another planet to cultivate and build a new home in this century it will be Musk or someone aligned with his ideas. There’s no right way to support a billionaire. They made sacrifices to get to that point, hurt other people, and killed their own empathy, lie during speeches with smiles. All of them do it. It’s all about who does it with the most common sense. Musk has that. It’s why Biden gets the entirety of the blame for the raise in gas prices. Because people refuse to believe that they live during a time where finite resources are actually proving themselves to be finite. It’s childish to turn a blind eye, and generations of millionaires, billionaires, world leaders, etc. have done exactly that. Leave it for their children to deal with. All the mess to clean up, all the resources to make up for, all the species extinct, the holes in our atmosphere, the environment destroyed. It’s a ticking time bomb no one wants to deal with that will explode on us all. The rich man leaves it to the poor man and the poor man leaves it to the rich man. Nothing will ever change and we will never get off the planet to truly SAVE humanity, but the ones holding most the money, those fuckers are gonna be making white bald babies on mars. And if I’m not a part of that and I have to stay on this waste churned planet until I die of some form of pollution poisoning then I will. Truthfully Musk knows all this, that if anyone is gonna live on mars or elsewhere it will be the rich. In reality if he cared so much about preserving humanity and earth he would use all the money he pours into spacex and tesla to do more for the entirety of humanity. Help fix all the issues listed before that are at this point never going to be fixed unless tackled now. He’s not a messiah, or god sent, or anything special. He’s just another billionaire luring the common man into his scheme that he is the rescue mission operator and everyone is invited. You are not invited. You’re the broom that sweeps up his mess when he’s gone.
Jeff should kept his hands on scheduling employees pee time and not the murky water of space politics.

@@josephlynch7655 Twitch is a money pit for them, that's probably why they charge Twitch for their AWS usage and probably reduced their budgets (since multiple streamers said Twitch didn't offer a contract or a way lower rate on compared to previous years Asmongold, Tim etc.)

Elon is an engineering while Jeff is a manager so the reasons why one's leading the other shouldn't be that much of a surprise. While Elon focuses on achieving the goal through ingenious technology to pull ahead, Jeff on the other hand just operates as a manager trying to pull ahead of the competition through legal tactics not caring about the technology just as long as he's ahead. 🙄

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the attention to aesthetics that SpaceX has when it comes to its designs? Like obviously it's not the most important part of a rocket/lander but it does really give off that vibe of 'yes, we're going into the future', rather than blue origin and dynetics' designs. I know that's not why NASA chose them, but I think their attention to detail is something that hasn't really been talked about - building a rocket that both does the job well and looks good is a pretty impressive thing to do.

In light of the fact that Musk has left Bezos in the dust, on to many occasions to count, Bezos should withdraw from this competition which he will never win. If anything, he should ask Musk what he can do to assist SpaceX to further their endeavor. That would be a big win/win for both factions...
I think people are missing the fact that Bezos' main goal is likely to be one of the first people to be able to commercialize space and make even more money. He won't withdraw from the competition because even if he loses, he's gonna make stupid amounts of money in the future because of it
