I purchased the Swarovski 10x25's and they've replaced ALL of my 42/44 binos. They're all in the truck/car/jeep beater bins under the seats now. Not that I wouldn't love some 10x30 with the HD glass but I seriously couldn't determine that much of a difference in/out of store compared to the 10x30's. These will be fine high altitude/low weight spotting binos until I can get the spotting scope on them.

Agreed they replaced my 10x42 binocular completely

Swarovski 25mm CL pockets not only are optically excellent binoculars, but also the best looking design of pocket binoculars, in my opinion.
I have not yet decided if I want to get CL 8x25 or the new Curio 7x21. Curio is significantly smaller but has a slippery surface.

Totally agree. I like the CL 10x25 for best compromise🤔

    Great well made video!
Really inspirational. I am considering these or the Zeiss 10x25 Victory Pocket. I am replacing an old pair of Leica binoculars which have served me well but the are a bit on the heavy side.

Hi, i think I go for a 10x42 local brand binocular under 300 euro. 640 gram and wider field of view of 114 meters and maybe better contrast because the aperture is bigger? maybe also less sensitive for edge reflections ? thanks for the tip. ( but, at the end you will get what jou pay for...)

Fair comment. Have the the very same Cl pocket 10x25 and they really surprised me in terms of detail as really quite superb in tems of detail. Have the larger Zeiss 8x42 equally superb, and better diopter arrangement, faster focusing and still better for bird watching. Horses for courses as they say in Ireland. Depends what you want to use them for.

Recently I had a chance to try Swarovski NL Pure 12x42 and immediately understood why some people were willing to pay well over $3K for a pair. The view at that magnification simply trumped anything I had seen through cheaper brand binos at 10x, 12x or even 15x. So was the absence of Chromatic Aberrations, which from my experience, are almost always noticeable albeit to various degrees from $30 pairs of 42-50mm objective sized binoculars up to the nearly $3K Zeisses or Leicas. The optics of the wideangle eyepieces must be very unique indeed and therefore very costly to make.
For pocketable, small aperture, binoculars, though, I have found the differences in image and viewing quality between the premium brands such as Swarovski and Zeiss and the less expensive and and budget brands to be very small. And if there may be some diffenrences, often they are hardly noticeable in most viewing conditions unlike the viewing through full sized binoculars.

Larger front element binoculars always trump smaller ones because of the amount of light let in. But are heavy to carry I always have this pair with me which trumps anything I have owned before . I am very happy with the image in this Binocular which is superior to other makes I have tried before 🤔👍

I've a pair of 1970's Zeiss 10x25's my dad gifted me, optically still excellent. They do suffer a tad with chromatic aberration, but I can live with that for now!

It was between these and the zeiss victory 10x25 when I bought my paor of small bino's. Quality binoculars are an amazing bit of kit to own.
I went with the zeiss due to the greater FOV and I just preffered the clarity in the zeiss. It will be preference though, and these swaro's are outstanding!
In the future I will be after the NL Pure 10x or 12x incredible glass!

I must admit I was sold on the Swarovski ! I got a pair for my wife secondhand at £480 which tipped me in favour of this pair first from my local supplier ! The Zeiss look amazing too heard great reports !

I have and love my Swarovski 10x25 binoculars. BUT I find myself using my Swarovski 7x21 far more. Half the weight and size, less shake and amazing clarity. Try the 7x21 before buying the 10x25s.

That is strange as I had an 8x25 pair and they weren't very impressive at all and certainly nothing like a large binocular view and quite a lot of glare issue. I opted for the Zeiss Victory 8x25 instead which gave a larger view but still not that of even an 8x32 so you are talking complete bollocks I am afraid. Otherwise I also prefer compacts for their portability and I would like to try the 10x25 version as I recently bought a Athlon Midas 10x25 and I have been very impressed with that. Had previously returned a Leica Ultravid 10x25 as also not impressed with that though now have a leather version 8x20 Ultravid and that I like for extra compactness plus the leather version is an object of some considerable beauty, almost better to look at than through lol.

Blimey you should do a vlog on just binoculars you have certainly been through enough pairs. These 10x25 perform amazingly in the field and have replaced the 10x42 's completely now making, them completely redundant. But anyone who wants to lug around a large pair for the minimal gain can in my view ! But like you people come to their own conclusions. I only present the options which I hadn't even considered such a small pair in the past ! Like a camera it's the one you have with you that counts.
Thanks for taking the time and effort to comment and leave your input and experience which all adds to the conversation helping people come to their own conclusion.
I certainly bow to your impressive trial of binocular so to make it clear to my viewers you now own a pair of 8x20 Ultravid Leica. Which is your prefered option! (You see I go for the reach of a 10x25 ) lol.

@@CamillaI I don't have a preferred option and a while back I gave up lugging around a camera and just mainly bring small bins though I still have some larger pairs but over the years I have been a fairly OCD about bins within my budget at the time, so at present I have about 10 different binoculars but I've had many more over the years and none of them are the ultimate this is the one binocular. They all have pluses and minuses. I was actually looking at a pair of Swaro CL 10x25 on the bay which led me to search for reviews but I don't think I want them after all. Think I will either go with a 10x30 or 10x32 (I have a 10x42 already) for when I want something a little larger than compacts and I already have plenty of those. My Athlon Midas 10x25 (£150) is also already amazingly good as far as sharpness, rich colour, focusing and glare control are concerned so I don't think the Swaro would actually be much or any better given that my Zeiss and Leica aren't. £740 for a Swaro 10x25 is silly but I guess who cares if you can throw money around as many seem able to do. I think it does make sense that unless you really need or want a large pair of bins that a small quality pair is well good enough but still nice to also have a larger more serious pair for some occasions. Yesterday I was out walking with just my Pentax VD 4x20 WP which is a compact with a 5mm exit pupil and long 19mm eye relief, so very easy on eye strain compared to a 10x25. The Pentax also transforms into a 16x20 telescope or 2 of 4x20 monoculars, so pretty low magnification and individual focus but still I can't help liking that little compact, so much so I bought 2 of them! I do like all of the bins I now own but I wish that the expensive "Alpha" bins stood out head and shoulders above the rest but nowadays that is not the case so I don't think the big brands represent best value for example I have an 8x24 porro Carson Manta Ray that I got for £30 and it's pretty much as good in the field as my Zeiss Victory 8x25 @ £600, so twenty times more expensive but not even 2x better or barely better at all but I still like the Zeiss, just wish there was more of a clear difference to justify the price.

Optically, these are the best pocket binos I used in the past 40 years. Problem is CLs are poorly made. My 8x25 first the rubber eyepiece came off. Fixed under warranty. Then one hinge became loose. Fixed under warranty. Then the other hinge became loose. Covered by warranty but didn't bother to spend more money to send it back again. Now the rubber armouring is falling apart. Seriously? For the money I expect these to last 30 years without a glitch. Before these I had 10x30 CL and within months it lost alignment, and fixed under warranty too. I had a Zeiss 10x40 BGAT for 28 years, travelled the world and not a single glitch until I sold them.

I bought a pair of these as I was always leaving the larger pair at home and these slip into a pocket. We've had exactly the same problem with the rubber eye pieces on our EL's losing one of them, the other was becoming loose. Swarovski replaced the eyepieces and I evo stikked the loose one to be a spare. @@CamillaI
