Tokyo Drift was the best movie in the FF franchise. No family, no stupidly physics defying stunts, none of that b.s, just legit street racing and some good cars.
The first 3 movie's were great.

Honestly, It would be pretty sick if Tokyo Drift got a sequel and they just took the setting back to that ‘06 vibe, following up on the events after Sean and Dominic end up racing. Justin Lin needs to make that happen.

Fr like take it back to a setting right after this movie or before with other characters. While still maintaining that 2006 era of modded cars like the Evo, Skyline, and the 370z. New gen cars just dont cut it in racing movies.

@@JustinSherrod1991 If they set "Bumblebee" in the 80's decently, I'm sure they could do an era throwback with Fast and Furious. That would be something I'd love to see. Even a movie set in North America with the earlier muscle cars. Fast and Furious set in 60's, early 70's or mid to late 80's.

Tokyo Drift was the only movie whose entire plot centered around racing. Every other F&F movie was about busting a bad guy except for Tokyo Drift. It remains the most pure racing movie of the series.

I don't think it's underrated honestly, the more older folks that saw this movie in the cinema back then all loved it. Also when I think about Fast and Furious and tuning cars I instantly think about Tokyo Drift and Need for Speed Underground 2 nothing else

Tokyo drift was the best out of the whole franchise. I’ve been saying that since it came out. The vibe of the movie made you want to be there and it made Tokyo one spot I would love to visit before I die.
I got the first movie and tokyo drift in my top 2, the first 3 movies were the best, everything after it got progressively worse

Agreed. Ever since Paul was gone I always wanted Sean to take his place as the second protagonist of the franchise but it always seems that Vin Dicsel wanted to be the only center character. What a shame.
@@tianyubai2542 Vin became a egotistical actor. That's what cause The Rock getting his own sequel with Jason Statham cause Vin couldn't stand that The Rock was more popular. Now the same with director Justin, Vin arriving on set late and not remembering the line cause Jusin to quit. Vin is ruin the franchise and i can't stand the guy anymore.

What i like about this is how genuinely happy and excited these guys are, especially if you compare them to Sung Kang, who's been more involved in the series. Sometimes in interviews actors even force their smile, meanwhile these people are laughing, talking in a really excited way about the old days and how cool it is to be back, sharing stories and wanting to do it again. It's really sad that they barely got screen time and that Sean's story went nowhere, Lucas wasnt the best actor, nowhere nearly as charismatic as Paul, Vin or Dwayne, but that made him even more likeable, he was the silly, simple country kid who likes cars that we could all relate to. Wasnt a superspy, wasnt a high profile truck robber, or an international criminal, or even the best driver in his city or whatever. He was a troubled17 yo kid who wrecked the first car he tried learning to drift on. He is us.
You know they have that genuine connection and friendship because they know they were a part of the best Fast & Furious movie in the franchise. Don’t get any better than that

Lucas Black aka Sean Boswell made a cameo in Furious 7 and was originally suppose to join Dom's crew for Fast and Furious 8, but he wasn't able to cause of his commitment to the show CSI. I was excited that they brought back Sean, Twinkie and Earl for Fast 9, but was really disappointed that Sean and the others didn't get to drive at all. I was expecting Sean to reunite with Han when he surprised everyone with his return, but they didn't meet up again until the very end of the movie. Here's an idea, the beginning of Fast and Furious 10 should have Dom and the crew hanging out at Race Wars. There we could either see a race between Sean and Han, a Sean vs Dom rematch, a race with Letty and Mia or a race between Dom, Letty, Brian and Sean. They need to bring a Street Race with 4 cars instead of the usual 2 car race.
A little rose-colored on my part, but I'd love to see Brian Tee's "D.K." get an "honour" redemption arc in the next F&F, and maybe a love interest in the vein of Han and Gisele as well.
Nigga stfu, the next movie is in space, and then prolly Thanos coming out with a ride saying family ain't everything.

FF Tokyo Drift was one of my favorite, besides Fast & Furious1 and 2!
The best of franchise period. No family, no trying to save the dumb world, no going to space. Just genuinely movie about cars and drifting.
Justin Lin (the director) was definitely more comfortable and felt “at home” with those 4 actors in the movie for sure…

I’ve never owned an Import but i have always loved Tokyo Drift. My favorite movie right after the original 2000 film.
This was actually the movie that got me into the franchise and the movie that got be me into cars. It will always hold a special place in my heart for that. Also I think it had one of the best climaxes of any of the FF franchise. What a great final showdown!
Tokyo drift is one of my favorite FF sequel. I watched this movie like more than 10x, the way they did the movie is just unique. Definitely need a part 2.

Lucas Black & the Tokyo Drift gang are the main reasons why I watched F9, F9 was bad but honestly Lucas and the gang are the only main highlights of the movie

These four guys, with the addition of Neela, could be a whole Fast franchise its own…with more racing of course, not this James Bond crap. When the main Fast franchise is over, Tokyo Drift should continue as their own spinoff series. Maybe they’ll bring their drift scene to the U.S. and possibly cross paths with Hector and Leon.

I really hope they can make a Tokyo drift 2 but less with the avengers level threat action. Maybe they can have DK return as the new leader of the yakuza or a higher rank and try to get revenge on them for basically stealing his world and life

Sean is probably still DK and they challenge him, especially since he is not Japanese. Maybe he loses, perhaps unfairly and the new crew kicks them out. So they spend the movie trying to get his title back? The possibilities are endless.

I love Tokyo drift and the fact that all these characters were reunited but after some thinking I figured out that Shaun, Twink, and Earl would all still be pretty young in the F&F universe cause 9 doesn't taken place to many years after Tokyo drift because TD takes place right after 6 and right before 7, so they would be in their late 20s in 9
