I was in the gym the other day and I saw a staff member praying Salah in a quiet room near the gym. This really motivated me to start praying again. I've been setting up notifications to my Apple Watch that alerts me when it's time for every Salah. Insha'Allah I'm able to continue praying my Salahs and I wish everyone else are able to do the same aswell. Thanks Yusuf for another useful video :)

The tip is to be consistent like the gym, even tho sometimes im tired or something i can't sleep properly without finishing my prayers, when it becomes a habit its easy to pray than the opposite

Mashallah, As a father /husband revert, busy life something always comes up. It gets complicated to get the prayers on time for so many reasons. At some point, I was missing my prayers on a daily basis أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ ! I felt exactly like you said, darkness creeped up on me a bit and then I went back to praying feeling like the words I was praying were empty. Then I decided to re-learn my prayer, and made it a priority, read the quran 5 min before/after salah. Now if (أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰهَ) I missed a prayer because any reason, then at least I do it before the next one, and I am I getting better, and all words are now becoming more clear, it gets easier to schedule prayer on time. Allah before anything, he gives us everything and we always have to be greatfull for him, Alamdulillah.

I believe the best way to be good in your prayer is by tracking your salah. Meaning: make a schedule of 7days(on a paper and paste it on your room's wall) constituting of the 5 prayers. At the end of the day put a tick on the salah that have been done, and put an "x" on the unprayed salah. This will motivate you to keep on trying to pray the 5 salahs every single day. After couple of weeks you will see a great improvement i promise. This method is applicable for other things like waking up early, daily walks, daily zikr, daily quran memorization...etc.
i tried this in order to finally be consistent with salah and it worked alhamdulillah!! i didnt even have to use the tracker after a few months

As someone who has recently moved out to Uni, it has been difficult to be on time with Salah. It did come to a point where I didn’t feel motivated for Salah instead I saw this a repetitive task. Recently my wake up call was asking myself why do I stand in front of Allah SWT. The beauty of Salah is what Yusuf just said, happiness. There nothing better than getting out of your way to pray.
Guys NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE, Allah SWT always has a place for you to pray. Whether that be at a school, supermarket, restaurant. Did you know there is a prayer room at Alton Towers? Just ask people for a small room that you can pray in and you will get lots of rewards, In Sha Allah.

My struggle is zoning out almost completely in salah like Idk how it happens. I consciously say I'll focus in this salah no matter what but I can't shut my thoughts down. One thing I noticed is the earlier I went to prayer the calmer my mind is. so that's that.
I have the same problem and it makes me feel really guilty may Allah help us
Know the meaning of most of the things which we say in salah like the meaning of surah fatiha for example and rehearse the meaning in your mind as you're reciting surah fatiha. The same goes for others surah too. Try this sincerely and may ALLAH(SWT) help you.
I have this issue too. It's kind of like the theory behind meditation. You focus but occasionally your mind wonders. I've been just returning back to focusing on my salah and as the time goes by I don't do it as often

Ma sha Allah, this is exactly what I needed to hear right now. I struggled with praying on time for as long as I can remember and it is just getting harder as I get older. I always tell myself I am going to change and I only do it for a few weeks and then I fall back in this dark, guilty and ashamed place. I loved the way you worded everything in this video. Allahuma barik. The three points that stuck out most to me were making empty promises to yourself and then that resulting in low self esteem, how salah teaches you discipline and how you said that when you feel distant from Allah SWT who is it that really moved away us or Him? Many of us go through this type of struggle like not performing salah properly, not having real connection with Allah SWT and our routines ETC. But, we think we are the only ones going through it and we are bad and weak because we don't really talk about it to each other.. Thank you soo much for sharing your journey with us May Allah bless you. It makes us realize that those struggles are just a phase and it's normal..:)
Dear everybody☺.. We all sin sometimes but that doesn't make Allah hate you. If you are still breathing then that means Allah has given you a chance to repent and turn back to the right path. Allah will always answer your supplication for guidance. one of my favorite quote is " No matter how many steps you take away from Allah, be it millions and millions, it only takes one step to turn back to him. This is our Lord. Alhamdhulillah"..

Appreciate the reminders! I want to add, sometimes you won't immediately feel that spiritual happiness after prayer. Sometimes especially during Iman lows, your prayers might feel empty and it might make it that much harder for you to perform each prayer, but you will be rewarded that much more for that struggle. Allah knows and sees the obvious and the subtle and he knows exactly how much you are struggling to fulfill your obligations and become closer to him
Tonight I was super tired, and depressed, as I'll have a big exam in 2 days and think I can't make it... And was like: "God knows how tired I am... I can't pray tonight.." Then I remembered of your words! "Don't let the guilt of not praying ruin all of your hard work!"

everytime you say allah hu akbar, think "Allah is greater than all your problems", any sort of stress you are going through, allah is greater than that and he can get you through it and solve your problems

The people arpund you are gonna either make you or break you, I honestly learnt that the hard way. I wouldn't say the people around me were completely harmful for my deen, but they were in some ways. The time I understood was through some bad experience. Now I dont have close friends,yeah i do get along with people at university, work and everywhere, not too close. Though I don't have best friends around me or set of friends I can lean on, i don't feel lonely, cz I'm more connected to me deen and almighty than i was ever before. My salahs has become regular and I used to rarely or never recite or listen to quaran, now I'm doing it more often. I even listen to Islamic stories and history which can inspire me.Alhamdulillah! yes!! I am not perfect I'm still improving. Happy about the way I'm improving. Alhamdulillah!!.
Mentioning it here, cause if there is anyone who is thinking that you lost your friends and best friends or anyone close to you now you feel alone. Please take your time and get close to Allah you will never ever feel alone, because you know eventhough no one's there for you. He is right there, looking after you and companying you.
