My friend thank you too I just finished upgrading my wife’s computer she is very happy. Apparently there’s an ssd stick on ours below the fan on the motherboard can put, and then can make two disks. I noticed in your video you had the ssd disk in the disk bay on the right, this one can in addition have the one that looks like the Wi-Fi chip but longer below the fan as the disk. Ours also had an additional ribbon to the right when opening the laptop but only 2 differences from your video however your video made it all the same and understandable. Great considerations too like be careful to not pull on the screen cable and how to pull the cables like fan cable otherwise I would have pulled by the cable breaking it. But now this thing has 8gb ram and 2 ssd disks. I’m installing windows 11 now and setting app disk as second disk. Man you’re great thank you!!!! My wife is very happy

if you place a 3200mhz you won't see any improvement on the system at all, this is a celeron CPU INTEL, if you palace a 3200 the bios will downgrade it to max speed that it can handle 2400. the only CPU that can take advantage of the ram speed is the AMD CPU's

Brother and whoever reads this, as far as I know you can upgrade up to 32Gb. The only thing of concern is the RAM speed and what RAM manufacturer the motherboard just supports (refer to laptop/motherboard's support page); if you installed a RAM of higher RAM speed that exceeds the maximum supported speed supported of your processor, the processor will just make use of its maximum supported RAM speed. In other words, 32Gb RAM will just work fine with the laptop.

on a laptop there is no "100% way of knowing" how many dim available you have, because the task manager can tell you 2 slot and when you open and see one. here is a video i made to see what is your max ram capacity and how many dim you have , but again the "how many dim you have" its not 100% and there is no application that tell you for sure. you need to open it up to see it physically. ruclips.net/video/tKEJTkVth4Q/видео.html if your laptop has two dim you can place what ever combination you like 2gb and 4gb or 2x 4GB.

thank you for the feedback! if you wish to support the channel you can LIKE or SUB or both :P regarding your issue: i would recommend you to do the following: remove the ram and clean the ram contacts with a toothbrush, and re insert and power on. sometime 90% when the ram contact don't get connected the system wont boot. and if the above didn't work you have to replace the ram to make sure your ram is not bad.
i get so many people come to the shop adding more , and when you go into my computer right click properties and see that says : 16.0 GB (7.8 GB usable)

Excellent video and great channel. I'm a new sub now. My MaxCap is 8GB, current have 4GB, and I have 2 DIM. Back in the Dark Ages, we had to use 2 matching SIMs (one in each slot) when upgrading RAM. From the sound of it, that is no longer the case. In other words, I can buy a new 8GB and remove the old 4GB, or I can buy a 4GB and put it in the other DIM. Is that correct? BTW, I will never buy ASUS again, and not just for the difficulty of swapping RAM.

My MaxCap is 8GB, current have 4GB, and I have 2 DIM. Back in the Dark Ages, we had to use 2 matching SIMs (one in each slot) when upgrading RAM. From the sound of it, that is no longer the case. In other words, I can buy a new 8GB and remove the old 4GB, or I can buy a 4GB and put it in the other DIM. Is that correct?
BTW, I will never buy ASUS again, and not just for the difficulty of swapping RAM.

if you have the x407 asus then you don't have two slot available, if your source of dim available came from task manager or CMD, that 90% wrong, only the GB max is the correct.
if you open the laptop you will see only one dim. LETS say that you have two dim and one has 4GB then just get another 4GB and that way you will have dual channel memory activate. but im very sure you only got one dim.

regarding your laptop: sorry that you got one of this, i hope in the future i always recommend my clients to ask me or research on upgradability and servicing and see what they getting other than CPU or HDD size.
