This is the best interview that I've seen of Dan Patrick. Dan was fired up and ready to go and you all did a great job of staying out of his way and letting him talk...like Johnny Carson used to do when his guest would be on a roll.
I was never a regular SportsCenter viewer before Dan and Keith, and I have not been a regular SportsCenter viewer since Dan left, but I watched "The Big Show" virtually every night for five years.
Hands down the best episode, next to the 1 with Greg Olsen! You gals keep crushing it! Dan Patrick is/was "the Mothership" royalty! 👑🐐

i'm so glad i stumbled on this podcast, and particularly this episode.
I've been a huge fan of Dan Patrick since the mid 90's, having Sportscenter in the background while I pulled all-nighters working on projects in college. What Dan said about being around your family really hits home... I'm lucky enough at this moment to be able to work from home and be around them all the time. This is a good reminder to really savor these moments and not take them for granted. Thank you, Dan, Erin, and Charissa for making this episode.

I’ve called Dan’s show once. I had no horse in the race, but I was wondering why the NY Giants were massive underdogs to a 16-0 Patriots team despite playing them close in the season finale. Dan absolutely sensed I was a kid, and explained to me how sports books worked on national radio on a snow day. 13 days later, David Tyree did his thing and proved me right.

Apologies I didn't know this show existed. I'll start watching them all now. Being a mid-50s guy, I grew up watching sports with Dan, Rich, Keith, Kenny, Linda & Stewart.

I cried when Dan described his moment with Jimmy V. I was in high school when the Jimmy V speech happened. I didn't know then what I know now. Dan and Keith were my heroee. Keith has gone rogue. But Dan.. Dan has been a constant for my entire adult life. I listened to his last radio show on the mothership. I listened to his first show on my terrestrial radio station. And I've listened to him ever since then. I've even watched him from The 101 on Directv to now Peacock. Dan Patrick, thank u for giving me memories and being THE sportscaster for most of my life. I've called into the DPShow, but can't get through. Doesn't matter. I'll always listen or watch every chance I get. I'd rather watch the DPShow than listen to it any day of the week.
When they ask Dan if he has more time and he says he has life for them. Damn. I'm writing that one down for the next person that asks me that. Amazing.

I don't think I've ever heard more than two sentences from these women (or any of their contemporaries for that matter) at a time in their entire careers. And naturally I just assumed most of that was scripted. The faces and voices are familiar but the personalities behind them are not. This is very unsettling. I'm gonna go watch Howard Cosell clips for an hour to get my mind right.
